Old Liu avoided his gaze and said coldly, "Xiao Shi, I can't help you with this. Officer, I do know him, but his debt has nothing to do with me, and I can no longer protect him."

Sun Xiaoshi stared at Lao Liu in disbelief, his lips trembling as he couldn't utter a word.

Ye Feng's heart sank.

This video is very detrimental to Sun Xiaoshi.

He knew perfectly well that this was a trap set by Lao Liu, and that Sun Xiaoshi was just a pawn in his game.

The police officer neither confirmed nor denied Sun Xiaoshi's explanation, then turned to Ye Feng: "You trespassed?"

Ye Feng knew that saying anything now would be of no use.

He calmly replied, "I came in to rescue Sun Xiaoshi."

The police didn't ask any more questions and took Sun Xiaoshi away directly.

Before leaving, he said to Ye Feng, "Why don't you come with us too?"

Ye Feng did not resist; he needed to remain calm to find a solution.

Inside the police station, Ye Feng sat in a chair, his thoughts in turmoil.

He was worried that this detention would affect Chen Yiyi's mission.

Almost at the same time, Sun Shangxiang received a call from Lao Liu and rushed to the police station in a panic.

With her younger brother detained, she couldn't imagine what Sun Xiaoshi would suffer inside.

Outside the police station, Sun's mother was clutching Old Liu's sleeve, pleading, "Old Liu, please, let Xiao Shi go! He's still young and doesn't understand..."

Old Liu impatiently shook off Sun's mother's hand: "Let him go? He broke the law, so he has to accept the punishment! But..."

He paused, a glint of light flashing in his eyes, "It's not entirely impossible."

He handed a document to Sun's mother: "Have your daughter sign this, and I'll go tell the police that Xiao Shi was just confused for a moment, and that's the end of it."

When Sun Shangxiang arrived, she saw her mother holding documents.

She snatched the document and quickly scanned its contents.

This document actually requires her to admit that her previous accusations of domestic violence against Lao Liu were false and to relinquish all her assets!

Sun Shangxiang stared at Lao Liu in disbelief, then slammed the file on the ground: "You're dreaming!"

Old Liu sneered: "Dreaming? You don't want to save your brother anymore? Or do you really want him to spend the rest of his life in prison?"

His threat panicked Sun's mother.

She hurriedly picked up the documents from the ground, glanced at them, and asked Sun Shangxiang in confusion, "What accusation? Did you complain to the company?"

Sun Shangxiang suppressed her anger and said to her mother, "Mom, don't get involved in this!"

Upon hearing this, Sun's mother became even more anxious: "If I don't take care of him, who will? Are we just going to stand by and watch Xiao Shi go to jail?"

She grabbed Sun Shangxiang's hand and pleaded, "Xiangxiang, I'm begging you, please sign it! If Xiaoshi really goes to jail, his life will be ruined!"

Sun Shangxiang felt her heart breaking as she looked at her mother's tear-streaked face.

Old Liu has found their weakness and forced her to compromise.

The immense pressure nearly suffocated Sun Shangxiang.

"Does signing this document mean you'll let my brother and Ye Feng go?"

Old Liu sneered, "Xiao Shi is my brother-in-law, it's only right that I help him. As for Ye Feng..."

He paused deliberately, his eyes full of mockery. "Why should I help him? You can't expect me to bear the losses for an outsider, can you?"

Sun Shangxiang's heart sank.

She knew that Old Liu wouldn't let Ye Feng off so easily.

She gritted her teeth and said, word by word, "Without releasing Ye Feng, there's no point in even thinking about it. I will never sign this document."

Upon hearing this, Sun's mother immediately exploded: "Xiangxiang, what do you mean! Your younger brother is still locked up inside!"

Suppressing her anger, Sun Shangxiang explained, "Mom, it's not that I don't want to save Xiaoshi, but I can't abandon Ye Feng. If it weren't for me, if it weren't for Xiaoshi, he wouldn't have been dragged into this. How can you say such a thing now?"

Sun's mother, however, completely failed to understand her daughter's pain. Instead, she said matter-of-factly, "He's an outsider. How can he compare to your brother? You've done your best."

Sun Shangxiang felt a surge of heat rush to her head, and she almost shouted, "There's no room for discussion! I will not agree!"

"Are you going to sign or not?!" Sun's mother pressed.

Sun Shangxiang looked at her mother almost pleadingly: "Mom, don't force me..."

"I'm asking you, sign or not!" Sun's mother pressed aggressively.

"I won't sign." Sun Shangxiang's voice was firm.

"Snapped!"

A loud slap landed on Sun Shangxiang's face.

Sun Shangxiang covered her face, tears welling in her eyes, but she stubbornly repeated, "I won't sign. Even if you beat me to death today, I won't sign!"

Seeing her daughter so stubborn, Sun's mother trembled with anger.

She pointed at Sun Shangxiang and shouted hysterically, "You won't sign? Fine! I'll kill myself if you don't sign!"

After saying that, she pretended to bang her head against the wall.

Seeing this, Sun's father quickly grabbed his wife, his face full of anxiety.

He looked at his wife, then at his daughter, caught in the middle, torn between the two.

Sun Shangxiang watched the farce unfold before her. Her mother's hysteria and her father's dilemma left her disheartened.

Sun Shangxiang slowly raised her head, her gaze falling on Old Liu.

"I sign."

Upon hearing this, Old Liu immediately broke into a smug smile.

He reached for the document, but Sun Shangxiang stopped him.

"Wait a minute." Sun Shangxiang took out her phone and dialed a number.

"Hello, it's me. Two million, help me get someone out of trouble." Her tone was crisp and decisive, without the slightest hesitation.

After a few simple words, Sun Shangxiang hung up the phone.

All of this happened so fast that Sun's mother hadn't even had time to react before everything was already settled.

"What are you doing!" Sun's mother snatched the phone away, her voice filled with shock and anger.

But it's too late.

Old Liu's face instantly darkened. He glared fiercely at Sun Shangxiang, gritting his teeth as he said, "You actually spent two million for some random man! You're shameless!"

Sun Shangxiang ignored Lao Liu's insults.

Five minutes later, Ye Feng walked out looking bewildered and bumped into the anxious faces of Sun's parents.

He saw Sun Shangxiang standing to the side, with a clear handprint on her face.

"Shangxiang! What happened to your face?" Ye Feng walked quickly to her side, his brows furrowed and his tone worried.

Sun Shangxiang subconsciously turned her head away, covering her swollen face with her hand. "It's alright, how are you? Did they give you any trouble?"

Ye Feng's heart clenched; he could tell that Sun Shangxiang was deliberately avoiding him.

"I'm fine, but you, tell me, who hit me?" Ye Feng grabbed her wrist.

Sun Shangxiang broke free from his hand. "I'm really fine. Let's go."

She didn't want Ye Feng to get involved in the family's conflicts.

Just then, Old Liu's sarcastic voice came from behind, "Oh, you're not divorced yet, and you're already all lovey-dovey with your gigolo? Want me to film you two for posterity?"

Sun Shangxiang turned around abruptly, her eyes sharp, "If you want to try prison food, go ahead and film it."
