Rebirth of a Top Student's Handbook
Chapter 32 Answer
After hearing Zhou Min's answers, Li Na frowned and asked Zhou Min why the other options were wrong. Zhou Min immediately knew that her answers were different from hers. However, at this moment, Zhou Min was not in the mood to explain, so she made an excuse and said that she had just guessed.
Because she had something on her mind, Li Na remained sullen until lunchtime. During the lunch break, Zhou Min wanted to tell Li Na that the Chinese exam wouldn't significantly affect her score, and that she should focus on the math exam in the afternoon. However, considering that Li Na was generally better at humanities than sciences, she decided against it, lest she make Li Na nervous and perform poorly on the afternoon exam.
Zhou Min found the afternoon exam particularly easy. After finishing, she checked her work twice and, feeling there were no problems, handed in her paper. Finding she still had almost an hour left, Zhou Min returned to her dorm and began reviewing her English notes for tomorrow's exam.
When everyone returned after their exams, Zhou Min had already reviewed her notes again. When Li Na came back, she went to Zhou Min again and started asking for math answers. Zhou Min didn't want to bother Li Na too much, so she made an excuse that she didn't remember and didn't tell her. Although Li Na was unhappy about this, her mood was much better than at noon.
Looking at Li Na like this, Zhou Min wondered if she had really held her back in her past life. After all, she must have given her the answers every time in her past life. Apart from Liu Lele, who knew she had a bad mentality, and Lin Xin, who didn't want to talk to them, it seemed that everyone in the dormitory except Zhou Min did not do very well on the exam.
Thinking about this, Zhou Min felt even more guilty. Because of this guilt, she spent a long time that evening talking to them about methods for solving English reading comprehension questions. These were experiences Zhou Min had gleaned from her own experiences with the CET-4 and CET-6 exams. Although applying them to middle school English exams seemed like overkill, Zhou Min felt it could improve her speed and leave more time for writing English essays.
The high school entrance exam ended quickly, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief, regardless of how they did. Although many people were unhappy that Zhou Min didn't share her answers with everyone, everyone was still happy without any worries.
On the way back, the students all had bright smiles on their faces, and Zhou Min felt excited and infected by their joy.
When Zhou Min got home, her parents anxiously asked how she did on the exam. They were relieved to learn that getting into the top high school was no problem. They had originally hoped she could get a free place, but because they had earned a considerable amount in the past six months, they felt that any mishaps on her part were forgivable. As long as she got in, they were willing to spend more money.
Zhou Min immersed herself in the world of books again, and three days passed by in the midst of her busyness.
Early on the fourth day, Li Na came to find Zhou Min to go to an internet cafe to check the answers, as she had heard the answers were available online. Zhou Min, realizing she hadn't used a computer in a long time, immediately agreed.
When Zhou Min arrived at the internet cafe, she found it noisy and filled with the smells of smoke and sweat. If she hadn't been so long since she'd used a computer and wasn't curious about what the internet was like now, she definitely wouldn't have stayed.
In her previous life, Zhou Min first truly came into contact with a computer after she went to university. Before that, she had only used QQ.
Two computers were turned on, and Zhou Min and Li Na each sat down and started up their computers to access the internet. Zhou Min's first action was to register a QQ account. Even after WeChat became popular, Zhou Min still preferred using QQ to chat with others. However, as WeChat's user base grew, QQ ended up being Zhou Min's account for logging into games.
Li Na searched for a long time but couldn't find the answer, and started to get anxious. She turned to Zhou Min for help. Although Zhou Min wasn't used to the current browser interface, she quickly found the published middle school entrance exam answers. Zhou Min compared them and found some discrepancies with her own answers, but she wasn't worried. She knew that the answers posted online each year weren't officially released and often contained errors.
Seeing Li Na's focused expression, Zhou Min swapped computers with her. After searching for the answers again and reviewing them briefly, Zhou Min felt relieved to find that she didn't make any obvious mistakes. Reassured, Zhou Min then searched online for her usual software, only to discover that even Weibo wasn't running yet, and she had almost never used platforms like Tianya or Baidu Tieba in her previous life.
Zhou Min glanced at Li Na, who was busy memorizing answers. Judging that she had plenty of time, and since she couldn't do anything else in that short time, she started playing QQ games. By the time Li Na had finally finished copying down all the answers, she found Zhou Min completely engrossed in the game.
It was almost noon by the time Li Na finally managed to get Zhou Min out of the room. Luckily, they both had a lot of pocket money, otherwise they wouldn't even be able to afford the internet fee.
Zhou Min, who spent the morning online, expressed her dissatisfaction. Sometimes it's like that; just like someone who successfully quits smoking, once they relapse, they can't stop. Zhou Min is currently in that state. As a homebody, she spends most of her time on her computer and phone, and she can hardly believe how she's gotten through the past six months.
Thinking about the computer, Zhou Min, with a mischievous glint in her eye, approached her mother and, choosing a moment of free time, asked, "Mom, are you going to rent out your apartment again after the lease expires?"
Zhou's mother's knife immediately slowed down as she chopped the vegetables. She was in a real dilemma; she had originally rented the house in town to help Zhou Min with her studies, and only opened the shop because she was bored. Now, Zhou Min was about to graduate and go to study in the county town, and Zhou's mother didn't know whether to renew the lease.
Seeing her mother's conflicted expression, Zhou Min suggested, "Mom, look, this is great! Whenever you take a day off, our family can go to the county town to see if there are any shops available. We can rent a storefront, so that we can take me to school and do business at the same time. It's perfect for both of us."
Zhou's mother was initially very interested, but she gave up after thinking about the rent in the county town.
Zhou Min continued her persuasion, saying, "Think about it. Think about it, the county town has a bigger flow of people and more money, so business will definitely be better there. And the vegetable prices will definitely be higher. When I was working in the county town last year..."
Although Zhou's mother had delivered goods to the county town many times when she was younger, she was always busy and came and went in a hurry. She only knew that people in the county town had high expenses and had to spend money everywhere. Now, under Zhou Min's persuasion, she was becoming more and more tempted and agreed to discuss it again when she got home that night.
Once Zhou's mother agreed, Zhou Min immediately went to persuade her father. Although her father was a rather lazy and complacent person, he would still try his best to agree to most of Zhou Min's requests, even if he was very unwilling.
When we got home that evening, the whole family sat down together and discussed it. They decided to wait until Zhou Min's high school entrance exam results came out before making any decisions. After all, if she didn't do well and faced a large school selection fee, all the previous assumptions would be overturned.
