Touya Yaoyao

Chapter 26 Being secretly photographed

Bai Taoshi probably didn't realize she was being secretly photographed, just like Yu Yaoyao didn't know she would one day become the rich woman who was supposedly keeping a movie star in the eyes of paparazzi. So, when Yu Yaoyao downloaded and logged into Weibo the next day after a long absence, the first thing she saw wasn't negative comments, but Bai Taoshi's trending topic.

[Shocking! A certain actor surnamed Bai was caught having a secret rendezvous with a mysterious wealthy woman]

[Shocking! A certain movie star secretly meets with a wealthy woman late at night; he appears upright on the surface, but his private life is actually chaotic.]

[Shocking! A certain movie star is not the boyfriend of a wealthy woman; the wealthy woman is suspected of two-timing.]

.........

After looking around, Yu Yaoyao realized that the photos were taken yesterday when she went out to eat with Bai Taoshi and Aiden, and the two of them took a walk together.

It has to be said, these paparazzi really know how to write headlines, and they really know how to stir up trouble out of nothing. What does "mysterious rich woman's secret rendezvous" mean?! What does "chaotic private life" mean?! What does "rich woman cheating on her husband" mean?!

You start with just one picture, and the rest is all made up, right? Secret rendezvous?! Two-timing?! Do you dare show everyone the complete photo you took? Do you think you can fool people by deliberately cropping a photo to make it look like a couple and making them believe it's real?!

Yu Yaoyao thought that Bai Taoya's fans would be able to take a rational view when faced with their idol's scandals, but she felt that she had overestimated Bai Taoya's fans, because those vulgar words still appeared on Bai Taoya's Weibo.

They treated it more like an enemy than an idol. A few were rational, but they were like sparks that couldn't stir up any waves.

Helpless, Yu Yaoyao simply closed her Weibo account, and then hesitated for a long time while looking at Bai Taoshi's phone number.

Although they might know that Shirotoya wouldn't be affected by these negative news stories, it's still heartbreaking that his fans are now turning against him.

As his childhood neighbor and friend, it seems reasonable for him to show concern for her when necessary.

However, she still hesitated, feeling that she might be overthinking things. After all, the other person had an incredibly strong mental fortitude; did they really need her to comfort them?

After tossing and turning for a long time, curiosity finally prevailed, and Yu Yaoyao mustered up her courage and subconsciously dialed Bai Taoshi's phone number, but immediately hung up.

Forget it, I'd better not care. After all, I'm not that close to him, and worrying about him like this might seem like I'm being presumptuous.

She instinctively tried to put her phone back in her pocket, but it rang inexplicably. Yu Yaoyao glanced at the caller ID and fell into an eerie silence.

Why is Shiratoshi calling?! How...how could he call?! Should I answer?! Maybe not, it's too awkward.

The phone rang for a long time, and after some hesitation, Yu Yaoyao finally decided to answer it.

Seeing that the call had finally gone through, Shirato Ya subconsciously breathed a sigh of relief, and then asked gently:

"What's wrong, Yaoyao?! Is something the matter??"

Yu Yaoyao recalled the comments she had just seen on Weibo, hesitated for a long time, and then asked hesitantly:

"Are you okay?!"

Her words startled Shirato Ya, who then said in surprise:

"What's wrong?!"

Yu Yaoyao clearly wanted to pretend she didn't care, but she still accidentally blurted it out:

"On Weibo, I see a lot of people criticizing you, you..."

Upon hearing this, Shiro Momoya chuckled softly, her tone softening even more, and she said with a hint of joy:

You care about me.

These words made Yu Yaoyao suddenly feel awkward. She subconsciously looked away and stubbornly said:

"It's just curiosity."

Hearing this, Shiro Momoya's laughter grew even more delighted, and then he whispered:

"I'm fine. That's just how the entertainment industry is. When they're praising you, they'll lift you to the heavens; when they're kicking you, they'll want to crush you into the mud. Today they might be your fans, tomorrow they might be someone else's. So, don't worry too much about it."

At this point, he seemed to recall something amusing, chuckled softly, and then whispered:

"Don't worry, Yaoyao, I'm fine."

Seeing that his tone was relatively calm and his attitude was normal, Yu Yaoyao's initial indifferent worry instantly dissipated.

Since he himself said he's fine, then he must be fine. As for the rest, it has nothing to do with me, so it's best not to worry too much. After all, the company that Bai Taoya works for has a fast public relations team, so it shouldn't be long before they clear his name.

Thinking this way, Yu Yaoyao stopped caring about anything else and subconsciously opened her laptop to focus on writing the script.

She got so busy that she forgot the time, and at two o'clock in the afternoon, there was a sudden knock on the door. Yu Yaoyao was startled by the sudden knocking and it took her a while to come to her senses and get up to open the door amidst the persistent knocking.

Standing outside the door were Aiden and Shiro Touya, both carrying lunchboxes, seemingly having brought her food specifically for her.

Subconsciously, Yu Yaoyao reached out her hand and said to Bai Taoshi:

"give it to me"

Seeing her like this, Bai Taoshi couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. He looked at Yu Yaoyao with some displeasure and asked in a low voice:

"What?? You want to distance yourself from me?"

Yu Yaoyao gave him a disapproving look and said with a look of disgust:

"You've been thoroughly smeared right now, so don't try to get close to me anymore, lest the news of some movie star having a secret rendezvous with a rich woman at a hotel makes headlines again, and you'll be unable to clear your name no matter what."

These words made Aiden burst out laughing. She looked at Shiro Touya with a smug look in her eyes.

Bai Taoya blushed at her words, but ignored her attempts to stop him and forced his way into the room, muttering rather arrogantly:

"Let him write whatever he wants, I'm not afraid of that. Besides, the food I brought you today is my own special dish that cost me a lot of money. I won't leave until I see you finish it all."

As he spoke, he walked to the sofa, sat down, and began to open the lunchbox in his hand, arranging the food inside one by one.

I must say, it's no wonder it's a privately-made dish that cost a lot of money. It looks and smells delicious, and you can smell the aroma of the food from far away.

Unlike Bai Taoya's private cooking, the meal Aiden brought was much simpler. She placed the food on the table herself and said to Yu Yaoyao with doting affection:

"I was worried you'd be lonely eating alone, so I came over to keep you company. This is one of our team's chefs' specialties. Would you like to try some?"

As she spoke, she unceremoniously served two bowls of rice, one for Yu Yaoyao and one for herself.

Seeing Aiden's preferential treatment, Shiro Momoya, not wanting to be left out, served himself a bowl as well, only to be ridiculed by Aiden without any politeness.

Shiro Touya didn't take Aiden's sarcasm to heart at all. Instead, he started arguing with him, and the three of them happily finished their lunch amidst a series of banter.

After eating and drinking to their hearts' content, Yu Yaoyao continued writing her script. Aiden sat behind her, watching her type. Bai Taoshi, following suit, also squatted down behind her. The two of them stood behind Yu Yaoyao like door gods, not moving an inch.

Yu Yaoyao was writing with great pain, after all, she had never encountered ghosts and monsters and was somewhat afraid of them. Aiden seemed to have noticed her distress, so he would offer some suggestions from time to time.

Bai Taoshi wanted to help, but Yu Yaoyao had made something that was in his weakness, so that he was only good for playing on his phone.

He watched Yu Yaoyao and Aiden seriously discussing the plot and felt inexplicably superfluous, but he didn't want to leave, so he simply stayed to join in the fun.

Although Bai Taoshi didn't quite understand what Yu Yaoyao was trying to do, he chose to respect and understand her, believing that she must have her reasons for doing so.

The two discussed the plot in a rather tacit way, and then became so engrossed in it that they talked until the moon was high in the sky. It wasn't until they smelled the aroma of food coming from the table that they realized they were actually hungry.

Because she was constantly thinking about the plot, Yu Yaoyao even discussed how to write it with Aiden while eating. This kind of obsessive focus left Bai Taoshi speechless.

Although he knew that Yu Yaoyao was obsessively devoted to things she particularly liked, to an almost frightening degree, he didn't think she would be thinking about the plot while eating, sleeping, and drinking. Was the plot really that hard to come up with?! Why was it taking so much of her energy?!

It has to be said that this plot was indeed mentally taxing, so much so that Yu Yaoyao was busy until midnight before finally finishing. Only after she finished did she belatedly realize that the two big Buddhas behind her had already fallen asleep.

Bai Taoshi slept on the left sofa and Aiden slept on the right sofa. To prevent them from catching a cold, Yu Yaoyao thoughtfully covered them with blankets before yawning and entering the bedroom.

Before going to bed, she checked the trending topics. The trending topic about Bai Taoshi had disappeared, along with all the negative comments. It seemed that their company's public relations were indeed very efficient. Now, she didn't have to worry about this matter anymore.
