Seeing that Nangong Yifeng had already said so, Murong Xuewei didn't want to say anything discouraging, so she could only nod in agreement.

The group then began discussing how to design something that would look more realistic, so that the assassins would believe it.

Nangong Yifeng's gaze swept back and forth between Murong Xuewei and Gu Ye.

A sly smile crept onto his lips.

“I have a suggestion,” Nangong Yifeng said in a low voice, “why don’t the three of us pretend to argue?”

Gu Ye raised an eyebrow, a hint of doubt flashing in his eyes.

Murong Xuewei remained calm as always, waiting for what would happen next.

"Then, General Gu and I had a fight," Nangong Yifeng continued, "and in the end, General Gu imprisoned me."

Gu Ye nodded thoughtfully, a hint of approval flashing in his eyes.

Murong Xuewei narrowed her eyes slightly, as if weighing the feasibility of the plan.

"What are the benefits of doing this?" Murong Xuewei asked, puzzled.

Nangong Yifeng's face showed an expression of confidence.

“In this way, we can lure the snakes out of their holes,” Nangong Yifeng explained. “Those spies will definitely take action.”

A hint of agreement flashed in Murong Xuewei's eyes.

Gu Ye pondered for a moment, then finally nodded in agreement.

“Then let’s begin now,” Nangong Yifeng suggested.

The three exchanged a glance and stood up in unison.

Nangong Yifeng suddenly raised his voice, angrily saying, "You won't get any information from me!"

Gu Ye immediately cooperated, shouting sternly, "Nangong Yifeng, you'd better know what's good for you!"

Murong Xuewei coldly replied, "You won't leave here alive unless you reveal the details of the traitor."

The soldiers outside the tent, hearing the commotion, all perked up their ears.

Nangong Yifeng continued to shout, "I know nothing! Don't even think about framing me!"

Gu Ye slammed his fist on the table, his anger blazing, and said, "You still dare to argue?"

Murong Xuewei sneered, mocking, "Nangong Yifeng, you're far too naive."

The soldiers outside the tent looked at each other, at a loss for what to do.

Nangong Yifeng suddenly lunged at Gu Ye, pretending to attack him.

Gu Ye was prepared and dodged the attack with a sidestep.

The two exchanged blows, punches and kicks flying, fighting fiercely.

Murong Xuewei stood aside, coldly observing the fight that had turned from a fake act into a real one.

Gu Ye swept his leg and kicked Nangong Yifeng to the ground.

Taking advantage of the momentum, Nangong Yifeng rolled over and rushed out of the tent.

Gu Ye followed closely behind, and the fight between the two extended from inside the tent to outside.

The soldiers in the camp were stunned by the sudden fight.

Someone tried to step forward to stop them, but was stopped by a single look from Murong Xuewei.

Nangong Yifeng deliberately revealed a flaw, allowing Gu Ye to gain the upper hand.

Gu Ye seized the opportunity and threw Nangong Yifeng to the ground with a beautiful over-the-shoulder throw.

Nangong Yifeng lay on the ground, pretending to groan in pain.

Gu Ye stood beside Nangong Yifeng, looking down at him.

"Lock him up!" Gu Ye ordered the soldiers around him.

Several soldiers stepped forward, somewhat bewildered, wondering how the group, who had been fine just moments before, had suddenly started fighting.

However, as subordinates, they only needed to follow orders and do their job. The men helped Nangong Yifeng walk toward the prison cart.

Nangong Yifeng was still shouting, "Gu Ye, you're a liar, a despicable person!"

Murong Xuewei stepped out of the tent and coldly observed everything.

Murong Xuewei's gaze swept over the surrounding soldiers, as if searching for suspicious faces.

Gu Ye turned to look at Murong Xuewei, and the two exchanged a knowing glance.

Nangong Yifeng was roughly shoved into the prison cart, letting out a cry of pain.

The sound of chains being locked was exceptionally clear in the silent night air.

Gu Ye strode towards the prison van and said sternly, "Reflect on your actions inside!"

Nangong Yifeng huddled in the corner of the prison van, groaning softly.

Murong Xuewei walked to the prison cart and said coldly, "I hope you can think this through and find a way to save your life."

Gu Ye waved his hand, signaling the soldiers to disperse.

The camp gradually returned to calm, with only sporadic footsteps and whispers.

Gu Ye and Murong Xuewei walked back to the main tent side by side, their expressions unchanged.

Inside the tent, Murong Xuewei asked in a low voice, "Do you think this tactic will work?"

Gu Ye frowned slightly and replied softly, "That's all we can do for now."

Murong Xuewei nodded, a hint of worry flashing in her eyes.

"I hope Nangong Yifeng can hold on," Murong Xuewei said softly.

Gu Ye's gaze sharpened. "He can hold on; after all, anyone who can go into battle is no pushover."

Gu Ye walked to the table, poured a cup of tea for Murong Xuewei, and handed it to her.

"What should we do next?" Murong Xuewei asked, her voice tinged with weariness.

Gu Ye stood at the entrance of the tent, gazing into the distance.

"Keep a close eye on everything that happens in the camp," Gu Ye said in a deep voice.

Murong Xuewei took a sip of tea and nodded thoughtfully.

“I will send more people to monitor suspicious individuals,” Gu Ye said.

Murong Xuewei turned around and looked at Gu Ye with piercing eyes.

"Xuewei, this is something we had no choice but to do," Gu Ye reminded her.

Murong Xuewei put down her teacup and said solemnly, "I understand."

Murong Xuewei walked to the table and lightly ran her fingertips across the surface.

"That spy Nangong Yifeng mentioned," she said softly, "do you have any leads?"

A flicker of wariness crossed Gu Ye's eyes. "Whom do you suspect?"

Murong Xuewei shook her head. "It's not certain yet."

Gu Ye stood up and paced back and forth.

“We must proceed with caution,” he said. “We mustn’t alert them.”

Murong Xuewei nodded in agreement, "Yes, we should remain steadfast in our approach to adapt to any situation."

Gu Ye stopped and turned to face Murong Xuewei.

"Do you think Nangong Yifeng is trustworthy?" he asked, his tone tinged with doubt.

Murong Xuewei's gaze deepened. "Based on my relationship with him, he's a fairly reliable person."

Murong Xuewei's gaze fell on the candlelight, where the flames leaped and danced on the wick, seemingly trying to devour it.

At the edge of the camp, a group of people silently approached the prison cart carrying Nangong Yifeng. Gu Ye narrowed his eyes slightly, his hand already on the hilt of his sword.

"Wait," Murong Xuewei gently tugged at his sleeve, "Wait a little longer."

The shadowy figures swiftly opened the prison cart and rescued Nangong Yifeng. Just as they were about to leave, Murong Xuewei suddenly shouted, "Do it!"

Gu Ye immediately led the soldiers who had been lying in ambush all around to charge out. In an instant, the entire camp was engulfed in a chaotic battle. Swords flashed, and shouts of battle rose and fell.

Nangong Yifeng was startled by this sudden turn of events, but quickly recovered and tried to escape in the chaos. However, an assassin blocked his path.

"Your Highness, come with me quickly!" the assassin whispered. "We've come to rescue you."

Nangong Yifeng was startled, but outwardly feigned relief, "Thank you for your rescue, sir. But, who sent you?"

The assassin didn't answer, but urged, "Now is not the time to talk about this. Let's leave here first."

Nangong Yifeng nodded and followed the assassin deeper into the forest. As he ran, he carefully memorized the route and secretly left marks on tree trunks.

Meanwhile, Gu Ye and Murong Xuewei were leading their soldiers in a fierce battle against the assassins. Although the assassins were highly skilled in martial arts, they were outnumbered and quickly fell into a disadvantageous position.

Just as Gu Ye was about to deliver the fatal blow to the last assassin, Murong Xuewei suddenly shouted, "Leave him alive!"

Gu Ye immediately changed his offensive and subdued the assassin with lightning speed.

After the battle, Gu Ye and Murong Xuewei arrived at the prison cart and found that Nangong Yifeng was indeed gone.

"It seems our plan has succeeded," Gu Ye said, a hint of satisfaction flashing in his eyes.

Murong Xuewei nodded, but her brows remained furrowed. "Yes, but the most dangerous part is yet to come. Whether Nangong Yifeng can escape unscathed depends on his own abilities."

Gu Ye held Murong Xuewei's hand and said softly, "Don't worry, Nangong Yifeng may seem carefree, but he's actually very smart. He'll definitely be able to handle it."

Murong Xuewei took a deep breath and forced a smile. "I hope so."

Meanwhile, Nangong Yifeng was following the assassins through the dark mountain forest. After walking for about two hours, they finally arrived at a hidden cave.

"Your Highness, please come in," the lead assassin said respectfully.

Nangong Yifeng cautiously surveyed his surroundings before following the assassins into the cave. The cave was dimly lit by a few oil lamps.

“Your Highness,” an assassin suddenly spoke, his voice icy, “please forgive our rudeness.”

Before he could finish speaking, Nangong Yifeng felt a sharp pain in the back of his neck, his vision went black, and he lost consciousness.

When he awoke again, he found himself tied to a pillar. Several assassins stood around him, their eyes coldly fixed on him.
