EROS [Zerg]

The friendliness shown to Eros by Cadian and Pius surprised him. He hadn't done anything wrong, yet these two officers were taking such good care of him and even wanted to take him with them to the interstellar legion.

"Kam doesn't want Eros to leave, Kam is scared." Just as Eros was about to give up, the little insect grabbed Eros's hair tightly, preventing him from leaving.

“Kamo…” Eros’s expression turned disappointed once again.

The two female insects standing to the side watched all this unfold, and the envy in their eyes gradually faded.

Eros's eyes betrayed a deep struggle. He desperately wanted to witness the handover between the military and the handling of space pirates, but out of a sense of responsibility to Kam, he had to regretfully give up this rare opportunity: "I'm very sorry, officers."

"Alright then." Cardian was a little disappointed, but seeing the even more disappointed look on Doelos's face, he could only comfort him, "There will be other opportunities in the future."

After seeing his "victory," Kam happily rubbed against the neck of his female insect, and looked up to kiss Eros's cheek, but "just in time" dodged when the female insect turned her head.

"Eros!" Kamehameh exclaimed in dissatisfaction.

"Kame, sorry." Eros forced a smile and brought his face to the little boy's lips.

Kam rubbed against the female insect's soft, beautiful hair, then turned his face towards her, wanting to kiss her: "Eros... Kam really likes you, please don't be angry, okay?"

Looking at the little boy in his arms, Eros suddenly realized that Camus wasn't actually unaware of his thoughts. He was simply trying to prove his own importance by making Eros constantly back down.

Eros bit his lip, but ultimately shook his head:

"It's okay, it's a card."

"Eros is only with you now."

"Yay!" The little boy hugged Eros's neck and gently nibbled at it several times: "I knew it! I'm the most important person in Eros's heart!"

"Kam is the most important." Eros smiled, lifted the little boy high, and then hugged him back into his arms.

Kam was happy to be held by Eros, and he hugged the female insect's neck. Their sleeping pods were temporarily unavailable because the ship's guards were checking for security due to the appearance of space pirates, and Eros was going to find him a place to rest.

The passenger seats were already full.

Eros carried Cam to their seats, still wary of the space pirate who had just appeared. The pirate's appearance was so similar to the male insect that it was difficult to tell them apart.

The little boy soon became drowsy, and Eros let Camus lie on top of him, covering his body with his coat as a blanket.

The little male's "bed" was warm, and soon Eros heard soft snoring. This sound made the female insect feel relaxed. Through the porthole, he looked out at the vast universe. Suddenly, Eros had an illusion, as if he had been in that star battlefield.

Just as Eros was gazing intently at the glittering stars in the darkness, the entire cabin suddenly felt as if it had been struck hard, and the spaceship tilted and shook violently.

Countless screams erupted inside the spaceship. Eros's head had hit the porthole from the impact, and warm blood bloomed on the transparent metal glass.

No insects will appreciate this flower.

Eros immediately grabbed the male insect, which was covered by its outer garment, and rushed out of his seat.

Eros instinctively wanted to run out of the cabin and hide, but as soon as he opened the cabin door, he saw a group of strangely dressed insects scurrying through the spaceship's corridors.

Eros hurriedly closed the automatic door to the cabin.

The instant the automatic doors closed, the sound of bullets striking the metal door carried an immense sense of crisis and oppression. A series of crackling sounds came from outside, causing the entire cabin to shake.

"Oh my god, space pirates, it must be space pirates! They're shooting at the automatic doors!" a skinny female insect screamed in terror.

"They actually attacked the cabin! Most of the female military personnel who came to support us are in the sleep pod hangar taking over from that space pirate!" A voice came from somewhere among the passengers, plunging the entire cabin into panic.

Eros looked back and found that most of the people in the cabin were thin female insects, a few male insects, and a few sub-female service workers.

There were almost no insects in the cabin capable of withstanding the firearms of the space pirates outside.

Eros held the little boy tightly in his arms, comforting the frightened Kam. He found a secluded corner, put Kam down on the ground, and then crouched down to shield the little boy from view with his body.

The surrounding arguments and fears defeated the insects inside the cabin before the space pirates outside could.

While chaos reigned inside the cabin, the space pirates outside had already begun ramming the door.

The originally sturdy automatic door quickly emitted several ear-piercing cracking sounds under the bombardment of the space pirates' firepower.

Eros could hear it, and so could the other insects.

A few bullets ricocheted through the crack. They hit the wall, the ground... and even a few insects.

The bloodstains on the walls and the floor were of unknown origin.

Eros could feel two small paws gripping his back tightly out of fear.

"Kame, don't make a sound," Eros said, turning back to instruct.

"Eros, I wish we hadn't come. I'm so scared." Kamehameha wiped away his tears. Although he tried his best to keep his voice down, his body was still trembling with fear and crying.

"Kamo, how about I make a promise with you?" Eros gently reassured Kamo, "Eros will definitely get Kamo safely to the Male Insect Academy, but on the condition that Kamo trusts me, okay?"

“I believe in Eros.” The little boy nodded, tears still clinging to his eyelashes.

“Eros said it’s just a minor incident, nothing serious. Camus is a very brave little male, he shouldn’t cry over something so small, okay?”

“It’s a promise, I won’t cry.” Kamehame sobbed as she wiped away her tears, then gently placed her two little paws into fists on Eros’s back. “Kamehame is brave, I believe in Eros.”

Eros patted Kam's head, turned around, and still kept the little boy completely hidden.

The automatic door, riddled with bullet holes, ultimately couldn't withstand the heavy barrage of bullets and was destroyed with a loud bang.

A group of strange-looking white space pirates broke in. They had round, glassy heads and chubby, white bodies that moved clumsily, as if inflated. What's more, these pirates' faces were inside their heads; Eros could see their wrinkled faces through their skulls.

They were armed with guns, and upon seeing a swarm of insects, they didn't hesitate to open fire.

The bullets struck many insects in the cabin, turning it into a prison-like hell in an instant. The screams and hisses sounded particularly terrifying in the vast interstellar journey.

Eros was hit by two bullets, but he remained motionless, using his body to protect Kam behind him. The male insects were all protected at the very back by the females, minimizing the damage they suffered.

Protecting the male insect is an instinct ingrained in the female insect's very being.

The Zerg have never been a race to be trifled with.

Even though most of the females sitting in the cabins weren't skilled in interstellar warfare, they all let out angry howls when they realized these space pirates would harm their precious males.

They unfurled their sharp, transparent insect wings, attempting to tear these audacious space pirates to shreds with their bare hands.

The semi-insect female is a fearsome weapon in the universe.

Although the female insects in the cabin seem less adept at combat compared to regular female military personnel, they have received military training from a young age, and even when facing the guns of space pirates, they will not willingly be preyed upon!

"These gay bastards are getting serious!" The chubby, white-haired pirate leader raised his gun, loaded several red bullets into the chamber, and a sly smile appeared on the face inside the transparent head: "Let them taste the insecticide!"

Eros discovered he could understand the space pirates, but what made him even more nervous was the "insecticide" mentioned by the leader of the space pirates.

The mere mention of its name sends chills down the spines of insects.

"Wait a minute!" Eros looked at the enraged female insects around him and wanted to call out to stop them, but the speed of the bullets had already confirmed his unease.

Several female insects that were hit by the bullets collapsed to the ground almost instantly, soon foaming at the mouth and blood droplets rolling from their seven orifices.

They've been poisoned!

The pitiful state of these female insects made the other female insects behind them, who were preparing to fight to the death, stop in their tracks and dare not take another step forward.

Seeing this, the space pirates became even more arrogant and took out tranquilizer guns to shoot at the insects.

The insect that was hit immediately lost its ability to attack, its body became paralyzed and powerless, and it fell to the ground unable to move.

What are these space pirates up to?! Risking arrest by the interstellar legions to hijack a civilian passenger ship—it can't be something as simple as just killing insects!

Eros's heart leaped into his throat, and he unconsciously tightened his grip on the armor behind him. Little did he know that this slight movement had attracted the attention of the space pirates.

"Captain Lin, that bug seems to be protecting something behind it." Suddenly, a short, round-headed space pirate pointed a tranquilizer gun at Eros.

The dark muzzle of the gun was pointed at Eros's head. Eros's pupils contracted sharply, and his back stiffened instantly.

The lead pirate chuckled coldly, pointing his gun at Eros: "These bugs have really rare purple eyes. If they were on the black market, they'd fetch a good price."

"You think you can get a share? He'll just become another specimen in Admiral Rowling's laboratory."

Just as Eros froze, too afraid to move, Kamehameha, who had been hiding behind him, struggled to jump out and shouted, "Don't hurt Eros! He's mine!"

Eros was startled and exclaimed, "Crap!!"

The little insect cub, oblivious to its surroundings, angrily berated the space pirates, but the next moment, it was terrified to find a gun pointed directly at its forehead: "I...I'm a male insect cub, you..."

Before the little bug could finish speaking, the leader of the space pirates had already pulled the trigger.

Blood and glass shards exploded into a spray, blood splattered on the ground, and two translucent eyes landed on the ground, bounced a few times, and rolled into an unknown corner.
