EROS [Zerg]

"Big monster, where are you taking me?" Luo Lan grabbed Eros's trouser leg.

Unlike human clothing, the insectoid clothing had a strange feel to it, and Luo Lan clung to Eros's pants with both of her small hands, unwilling to let go.

Eros looked down at the male insect cub in front of him, bent down and picked it up: "I'll take you somewhere to protect you."

Eros awkwardly communicated with the insect cub using a few grammatically incorrect human phrases he had learned from Roland.

"But I want to go home, my mom is waiting for me." Luo Lan put her little hands on Eros's shoulders: "Will you take me home?"

"Uncle Lüliang has monsters like you too. You can say hello to them, and they should like you too."

As she spoke, Luo Lan took out a beautiful light blue crystal from her pocket and handed it to Eros: "This smells wonderful. If you take me back, I'll give this to you."

Eros thought it was just another toy from the male insect cub and lowered his head, intending to refuse. But when he saw the pale blue crystal lying in the male insect cub's hand, his pupils suddenly contracted and the color drained from his face.

Eros used its claws to pick up the blue crystal from Roland's small hand, brought it to its nose and sniffed it gently. A faint ripple traveled through the tentacles hidden in the golden hair.

This is an insect core!

An insect will only have one nucleus in its lifetime. The nucleus is equivalent to the insect's brain, and the insect's memories and soul are stored in the nucleus.

The insect nucleus dissipates as the insect dies.

Eros looked at the insect core held in Luo Lan's hands. There was only one way to extract such a complete insect core: live dissection.

"Where did you find this?" Eros's voice was hoarse, but he tried his best to calm himself down.

"I secretly took them from my mother. Lorraine's mother has so many, and I took a few that she can't find out about." Luo Lan was obviously unaware of the turmoil in Eros's heart. His childlike mind made his smile so innocent and pure.

Eros looked at the insect core lying in his claws, his heart churning. He put the male insect back on the ground and gripped the dark blue insect core tightly in his claws.

Luo Lan was far away from Eros, but she could clearly sense that the departing female insect was in a bad mood... even though she was fine just a moment ago.

"Hey! What are you so sad about?!" Luo Lan was worried that this big monster in front of him might not take him back if it got upset.

Eros walked alone to a secluded corner where no insects would bother him. Looking at the faintly glowing insect core in his claws, large tears involuntarily rolled down his cheeks.

Eros could not explain the pain and fear welling up inside him, and his tear ducts seemed to be an outlet, allowing him to vent the emotions that he could not express in words.

This feeling of sadness, like past dreams, comes unexpectedly and disappears without a trace.

When tears can no longer fall, the painful feeling disappears completely.

Eros wiped away the tears on his face, and was just beginning to wonder if he was going to have a mental breakdown when the terminal on his wrist beeped.

"This is Eros."

"Eros, where have you been? We can't find you. The ship is about to land. Come to the control room immediately to prepare for landing."

"Yes."

Eros put down the terminal on his wrist and immediately headed to the control room.

After identity verification, the automatic metal door slowly opened.

When Eros went inside, he found that the other female insects had already arrived, and even Lan and Luo Lan had put on their landing suits and were sitting in the seats on the side.

Eros took a landing suit out of the cabinet, put it on, and found an empty seat to sit down.

The spacecraft was ready to land when, with a violent jolt, the hatch opened.

Eros and several other female insects disembarked from the spaceship one by one. Outside the spaceship, military females were already waiting for them, along with a medical team that had been waiting for some time.

As soon as the hatch opened, the medical team, ready to go, surrounded them. As their target, Luo Lan, carried by Lan, was the first to emerge.

Eros walked behind, watching as Luo Lan's expression changed from confusion to terror, and she stretched out her two little arms, waving at him repeatedly.

“Let me do it.” Eros walked to the side and took Luo Lan’s small body from Lan’s arms: “Don’t worry, I’m just checking your body.”

Luo Lan clung to Eros's neck, on the verge of tears: "So many monsters~~"

Eros tapped Rolan's nose with his paw and chuckled softly, "They are monsters, I am a monster, and you are a little monster too."

"I am not a little monster, I am a human being."

"A human?" Eros shook his head with a smile. "You're not a human, you're an insect."

"Insects?" Luo Lan's eyes widened as images of strangely shaped insects crawled through his mind. He had seen those ancient Earth creatures called insects in his mother's collection room; they were bizarre in shape, some beautiful, some particularly ugly, but none of them resembled human beings.

"I'm not a bug! I only have two arms and two legs!" Luo Lan protested, waving her limbs.

“Male insects don’t transform into insects.” Eros touched the short hair on Roland’s head, then carried him to the female insects of the medical team.

Luo Lan was frightened and clung tightly to Eros, unwilling to be hugged by the female insect in the white coat behind her.

Eros reassured him, "I assure you, it's just a medical check-up, nothing else."

Luo Lan raised her head slightly, her purple pupils meeting Eros's violet eyes, and murmured softly, "You have to stay with me."

Eros had no choice but to tell the female insects of the medical team about the male child's request. The medical team leader nodded and signaled Eros to calm the male child down and take them to the medical vehicle.

Eros watched as the doctor in the white isolation gown stuck a pretty sticker on Luo Lan's arm. Luo Lan opened her eyes in confusion, suddenly yawned, and then slumped limply onto Eros's shoulder.

"Leave the rest to us." The doctor gently took the little boy from Eros's arms.

Eros nodded, turned and got off the medical vehicle, then walked back into the group of female soldiers outside. After handing the little boy over to the professional doctors, Eros felt relieved. He wasn't worried at all that Luo Lan would wake up and cry if he didn't find him by his side; the professional team would take care of him.

"Have you calmed them down?" Eugene glanced at Eros.

“Hmm.” Eros nodded, then followed Eugene into the aircraft, with Lan sitting in the back seat.

The military and medical teams that picked up Xiao Xiongzi quickly withdrew, their destination being the Academy of Science and Technology, while Eros and Lan were now heading to the military headquarters, where General Rand was waiting for them.

The military headquarters was located on the main star Themiler in the sixth star system. After traveling in the air for several tens of star minutes, the spaceship landed at the military headquarters' airfield.

After Eugene handed his identification to the guard, a female soldier quickly came to meet them.

"Colonel Xue'ang."

Eugene saluted the approaching female soldier. Hearing Eugene address her as "Colonel," Eros also saluted him, saying, "Colonel."

"You are Lan and Eros...?!"

Xueang knew that the female insect that Eugene brought was the one that General Rand had specifically wanted to meet. He lightly glanced at the faces of the two female insects behind Eugene, and finally his gaze stopped abruptly when it passed over that jewel-like violet color, and his eyes showed an extremely incredulous expression.
