Me at two years old, a queen!

Chapter 24 I'm not Da Ya, I'm Fang Liting

Hearing those familiar "humph" sounds, Qin Feng couldn't help but wonder if this thing was really that good-looking.

Hearing the noise at the door, An'an turned her head and saw the person being stopped at the door by the bodyguard. She looked at him curiously and asked, "Hmm?"

Qin Feng, who had been sitting next to the little girl with his eyes closed, turned to look at the door when he heard footsteps. Seeing it was the girl, and remembering the family, he said nothing and didn't let them in.

"Um... little sister~, can... I have some?" Being directed by the old lady to ask for food, perhaps a girl's innate sensitivity made her feel somewhat embarrassed.

Looking at the little girl sitting on the luxurious sofa in her clean, pretty dress, and the man beside her who seemed constantly on guard, Fang Liting stood at the door, stammering and unable to speak.

"Sister~, is that my name?" An'an looked curiously at the girl hesitating at the door. This was the first time someone had called her little sister, and An'an was a little excited.

"I'm An'an~, what's your name?" This was the first time An'an had seen a child, especially one who was talking to her, so she couldn't help but feel excited.

"Um, little sister, I...I...my name is Fang Daya." Fang Liting looked at the doll-like little girl and the tall, roguish man beside her, then suddenly remembered something and excitedly said, "No, no, I'm not Daya, I'm Fang Liting."

"Oh, Sister Liting~, your name is so pretty~" An'an skillfully paused her phone call and replied with a grin, "It's as pretty as An'an's name!"

"This is the name I gave myself when I was in school," Fang Liting said hesitantly, clutching the hem of her ill-fitting clothes.

An'an didn't react much, and even happily praised her for being amazing. Qin Feng, on the other hand, raised his eyes upon hearing this unbelievable answer.

"Hey, do you want to watch Peppa Pig together? It's so good! I love George the most!"

Fang Liting looked at the little dumpling who was gazing at her with such genuine, sunny eyes, and a lump formed in her throat. Even though she was about to enter her first year of high school, she understood that this was a shameful thing to do, but otherwise she would be beaten by her grandmother when she got home.

She finally mustered her courage and asked, as if something had shattered in her young heart: "Could my little brother have a bite of the food you have? He...he's never had any before."

An'an glanced at the candied hawthorns in her hand. She had already licked the strawberry one, and she wanted to save the other, a hawthorn one, for her father.

Seeing that the little girl hesitated and didn't speak, Qin Feng assumed she didn't want to, and was about to help her shoo her away when he heard the little girl's clear voice: "Sister~, do you want to eat?"

Fang Liting was taken aback by the question. "She...she can eat it too?" She instinctively turned around and saw the old woman staring intently at her not far behind, as if she would kill her if she didn't get it back.

She looked at the little girl in front of her who was looking at her with concern, and at the candied hawthorns in her hands, which were wearing pink wool gloves. The bright red strawberries were covered with sweet sugar. As if she had made up her mind, she closed her eyes and shouted loudly, "Yes! I want to eat candied hawthorns!"

Even Qin Feng looked at her in surprise. Thinking of this wretched family, he finally sighed. He didn't do anything, but his cold gaze fell directly on the old woman who had been watching from outside the door. The old woman's legs trembled guiltily.

"Here you go, sister! Everyone can have a candied hawthorn."

An'an handed the untouched candied hawthorn skewer, originally intended for her father, to the older girl, explaining sweetly, "This one is strawberry, I've already eaten it, so here's the one you haven't tried yet! Is that okay, sister?"

Fang Liting hesitated, reaching out to take it, when she heard the man dressed in black beside her say coldly, "You'd better want to!"

An'an, standing to the side, didn't understand anything, but Fang Liting grasped the deeper meaning. When their eyes met, Fang Liting saw the cold threat in the man's eyes and guiltily lowered her head, avoiding his gaze.

She slowly reached out her chilblain-covered hand to take the plump, round candied hawthorn skewer coated in a transparent sugar coating. Head bowed, she felt as if she were being pierced by the shadowy gaze from the side, realizing that he could see right through her—her own baseness, darkness, and wretchedness. At that moment, Fang Liting deeply regretted stepping through that door.

"Sister~, you eat it." An'an looked at this strange little sister and simply handed the candied hawthorn to Fang Liting.

Seeing this, Qin Feng subtly separated the little cutie and stood in front of An An.

Upon noticing this, Fang Liting felt the last wall in her heart suddenly collapse. Clutching the candied hawthorn skewer tightly, tears welled in her eyes: "I didn't do anything! My grandma originally told me... told me..."

She was still just a teenage girl. Although she grew up in a closed-off rural area with a strong preference for sons, her feudal traditions prevented her from uttering those two words: "I haven't listened to her at all! I just want a..."

Qin Feng, who was standing to the side, had expected this, but he didn't want the young girl to have any more contact with her, so he wanted to send her away as soon as possible.
