"Frequency resonance successful!" Maple Leaf's fingers danced across the device, leaving afterimages, and the waveform on the quantum display screen vibrated violently.

The metal casing of the control device began to crack, and a ghostly blue arc of electricity danced within the cracks, casting flickering light on Sienna's face.

The Shadow Leader's maniacal laughter abruptly ceased. Smoke suddenly billowed from his mechanical prosthetic limb beneath his black robe, and he collapsed to the ground as if his skeleton had been removed.

The entire castle began to tremble, and the Gothic stained glass on the dome shattered into crystal dust, refracting eerie rainbow light under the moonlight.

"Something's wrong!" Athena suddenly clutched her temple; her forehead was burning hot. "There's an energy fluctuation coming from the direction of the city..."

Before she could finish speaking, a muffled, thunderous roar echoed from afar. Sienna rushed to the castle terrace, and the sight before her froze her blood—a dark purple vortex, over three hundred meters in diameter, stood in the center of Auclair, with countless pieces of building debris suspended at its edge, like building blocks carelessly discarded by a child.

The crowd on the street was running in eerie slow motion; some people suddenly regressed to their actions five minutes earlier, while others aged twenty years in an instant.

Trinity's clones suddenly froze, and she collapsed to her knees: "The spacetime structure is collapsing... I can feel countless versions of myself screaming in parallel worlds..."

"Evacuate immediately!" Sienna was about to turn around when the marble floor tiles beneath her feet suddenly twisted into a Möbius strip. Teddy opened his arms, trying to hug his boss, but was instantly sucked into a two-dimensional plane, his entire arm becoming a flat projection like a mural.

At that moment, three shuttles bearing the HRF logo pierced through the clouds. Meraton's cold, stern face appeared in the holographic projection: "Sienna Isabella, you have triggered a spacetime catastrophe. Pursuant to Section 17 of the Paranormal Events Response Act, I hereby declare you under emergency arrest."

“Wait!” Maple Leaf held up the still-smoking jammer. “We have evidence of the Shadow Council manipulating things! This vortex is their doing…”

A crimson beam of energy grazed Maple Tower's hair, melting a bubbling crater in the castle's outer wall.

A woman who appeared to be in charge leaped from another shuttle, her nanotech armor generating an anti-gravity field: "We'll discuss the evidence once we reach the containment facility. Now, disarm immediately!"

Teddy's pupils suddenly turned vertical. She tore through the incoming electromagnetic mesh with her bare hands, her voice carrying a double reverberation: "Idiot! Look towards City Hall!"

Following her gaze, everyone saw a black, asphalt-like substance seeping from the city hall's dome. Where the viscous liquid dripped, the concrete instantly weathered away, and several members who couldn't escape, their expressions of terror fading, gradually grew younger until they disappeared completely. Even more terrifying, all the clocks were spinning counter-clockwise, and the koi in the fountain were regressing into tadpoles.

“It’s an entropy reversal reaction.” Meraton’s tactical goggles flashed wildly. “The Shadow Council is draining the entire city’s temporal entropy! They’re turning Auclair into a lawless land outside of causality!”

Suddenly, everyone felt a chill. A screeching sound like gears clattering echoed from the void, and each person's most terrifying memories flashed before their eyes—Sienna seeing her sister burning in a car accident, and even the HRF agents froze in place.

"Mental pollution attack!" Mothman was the first to regain her senses; the pendant of faith around her neck was burning hot. "Activate cognitive filters on everyone! This isn't an ordinary supernatural phenomenon; it's a meticulously calculated consciousness virus!"

She is the Mothman of this year's HRF, a title given to the main leaders of the HRF, who all call themselves Mothmen.

Maple Leaf suddenly let out a painful whimper. The twelve emergency USB drives she carried simultaneously crackled with electricity; the quantum chips storing evidence of the Shadow Council's crimes were being formatted by some force. "They're... they're altering reality..." she coughed up blood, "We must find the anchor point..."

The entire city suddenly fell into absolute silence. Sienna saw her left hand becoming transparent.

"The time anchor is in the basement of City Hall!" Trinity's multiple clones suddenly exclaimed in unison. "One of my clones saw it in a parallel universe... they're using human brainwaves as receivers..."

Meraton and Yezebel exchanged glances, and the HRF agents immediately adjusted their formation.

As Sienna and her team rushed toward the city hall, they noticed that the official agents did not stop them; instead, they were clearing away the spacetime rifts that suddenly appeared along the way.

“Don’t misunderstand.” Meraton shattered the skull-like energy entity that emerged from the ground with a single shot. “After we deal with these time-wasting scum, we’ll still take you for memory purification.”

The square in front of the city hall has become a living hell. The fountain statues have come to life, their marble eyes darting around; dinosaur skeletons that should be in a museum are now gnawing on police cars; and a group of ghostly citizens dressed in 20th-century clothing are dancing an endless waltz.

The most terrifying thing is the sky—where countless mirrors float, each reflecting a completely different image of Auclair.

"Welcome to the Endgame Theater." The Shadow Leader's voice came from all directions.

Sienna turned around abruptly and found the man who should have been knocked down standing on the steps of the city hall. His body was pieced together from countless clock parts, and a control device that was still running was embedded in the location of his heart.

"What do you think you destroyed? Counterfeit goods?" He spread his arms, and the dome of the city hall was suddenly lifted, revealing a giant ring-shaped device with a diameter of 100 meters.

Countless citizens floated within like puppets, their temples connected to glowing nerve ducts. "This is the true weapon of causality—when the clock strikes twelve, the entire city will become the eternal territory of the Shadow Council!"

Mothman clutches the pocket watch left by his predecessor, the only timer that remains unaffected.

As her thumb traced the bloodstains on the watch cover, she suddenly understood the meaning of Trinity's "anchor point"—in the turbulent flow of time and space, only objects that carry strong emotions can remain real.

“Meradone!” She tossed the pocket watch to the HRF commander. “Use this to calibrate your quantum clocks! The rest of you, clear the battlefield and break through!”

The Shadow Leader chuckled as he pressed a button on the control panel, and the entire city hall seemed to begin folding into the structure of a Klein bottle.

As Sienna rushed into the vortex of the building, she saw Meraton press his pocket watch into the reactor on his chest, and a bright blue light pierced the scarlet sky like a lighthouse.

Heroic Response Force (HRF) members Meradon and Jezebel were the first to intervene in the investigation. Meradon's tactical goggles scanned the unknown metal fragments buried beneath the clock tower's foundation, the surface patterns of which matched the Shadow Council's symbols.

Yezebel, through her psychic perception, discovered that the energy released by the fragments resonated with "folding points" in higher dimensions of the universe, suggesting that the Shadow Council was attempting to lock the "anchor point" of the endgame event by distorting the timeline.

The city's eastern district has been transformed into a chaotic "mosaic"—buildings have been cut into geometric fragments by an invisible force, and otherworldly afterimages float on the streets: burning ancient battlefields, frozen deep-sea temples, and even flashes of runestone ruins from Quel'Thalas Forest.

HRF reconnaissance teams captured a member of the Shadow Council at the edge of the rift. Interrogation revealed that the Council had mastered the core of the "Night of the Protoss" ritual—stabilizing the rift into a permanent channel through the brainwave spectrum of the sacrificed.

If the rift expands to a critical point, Euclair will become the 'crossroads' of the multiverse, where wars from all planes will converge.

As dusk fell, a purplish-black energy storm gathered in the sky above the city. Within the eye of the storm, lightning twisted and coiled like living things, and the shockwaves it released instantly reduced a skyscraper to dust.

HRF scientists analyzed that this was highly similar to the energy fluctuations of the "Night of the Protoss" event: the imbalance between magical and physical attributes caused the aether particles to go berserk. The Shadow Council apparently set up an "inverted pentagram array" at the eye of the storm, using the fear of the citizens as fuel to accelerate energy absorption.

The Shadow Council's strategy gradually became clear: they would create chaos through time distortion, bring in reinforcements through spatial rifts, and weaken the HRF defenses through energy storms, thus creating an "anti-entropy effect."

An intercepted recording of the high-ranking council member, "Obliteration Throat" Kaldorei, reveals: "The endgame is not destruction, but reconstruction—we will use Auclair as an altar to plunge reality into an eternal state of chaos."

During the war council, the Mothwoman pointed out that the council's actions would betray and devour allies, transforming itself into a higher-dimensional being. She added, "Their goal is not to rule, but to become the agents of 'entropy' itself, and this endgame is more intractable than ever before."

After the meeting, HRF initiated the "Sky Protocol" and began to utilize all resources.

They deployed anti-gravity field generators around the clock tower to counteract distortion with distortion, and used phase stabilizers to gradually close the spatial rift. They also reverse-engineered the Shadow Council's Protoss incantations, channeling storm energy into abandoned underground nuclear bunkers, converting it into controllable energy.
