Isabella's home was peaceful and serene.

Sienna had been on tenterhooks all week, waiting... for something to happen, but nothing did. Everything was calm.

Well, things were relatively calm. She was diligently doing her homework, her legs propped up on a footstool that had suddenly appeared in the living room, her laptop resting on her lap. The girls were all doing their own things in different parts of the house, but it wasn't any noisier than usual.

"Teddy, stop choking Athena," Sienna said, her eyes still glued to the screen.

"How did you know?" Teddy asked from somewhere behind the sofa.

Sienna sighed. In fact, Athena hadn't uttered anything sarcastic for several minutes, but she wouldn't say it aloud. "I can hear her gasping for breath as she's being choked, and I have 'Sisterly Communication Magic.' Let her go."

“How boring,” Teddy muttered. A moment later, she screamed and fell heavily to the ground with a thud. Sienna could imagine that Athena had just kicked her leg away.

Sienna looked up and scanned the room. Trinity sat on either side of her. It felt pretty good. The girl was watching TV—the volume was turned down low—and using Sienna's body as a pillow while biting her thumb. "Where's your third clone?" Sienna asked.

"She's with me!" a voice came from the kitchen. It was Aurora, who was currently preparing something to eat.

It's a blessing to have an older girl in the family. "Thank you!" Sienna replied. Then there's... Sienna sighed, sat up straighter, and turned her head as far as she could to look at Maple's bedroom. "Maple, what are you doing?" she asked.

A few minutes later, Maple Leaf finally poked her head out of the room. Her hair was a mess, as if she'd been electrocuted. "Doing scientific research?"

"What kind of scientific research is it?" Sienna asked.

“I built a machine that would allow us to better conceal our identities,” Maple Leaf said, “but I’m having a hard time getting it working properly.”

"What exactly does it do?" Sienna asked.

“It can make people forget the first letter of your name!” Maple Leaf said.

“So… what, I went from Teddy to Eddy?” Teddy asked. “That’s silly, people will still know who I am! Because I’m too outstanding.”

Maple Leaf puffed out her cheeks. "I guessed so?"

"Does this machine only start working from the moment it's turned on?" Athena asked. "Because if it does, the records are still the same. If many of our records suddenly show the same error, it will make it obvious that something is wrong."

“No, no, I made it go back in time,” Maple said, smiling. “That’s why I needed an old clock! I wanted it to only work with our names, but I feel like I’ve set it to work with everything except our names?”

Sienna blinked. "So...what, it changes the names of everything?"

“Uh,” Maple Leaf said, “I guess so?”

“Well, we’re still living in Auclair, so obviously it’s not working,” Teddy said.

“I know!” said Maple Leaf. “If it worked, it would be too obvious. I mean, actually it’s not that obvious, because it goes back in time, but it still does!”

“I don’t understand,” Trinity said. “Am I going to become…Rinity from now on?”

“No, honey, you won’t,” Sienna said. “Maple Leaf, next time, before you build a machine that can change such a big thing, ask everyone first, okay? Even if the intention is good.”

“Okay,” Maple Leaf said.

Sienna shook her head. Sometimes, Maple Leaf really made her anxious. But so far, she had been able to spot the girl's actions in time, preventing irreversible consequences. Sienna shook her head and continued doing her homework.

A few minutes later, Aurora emerged from the kitchen carrying a plate of hot dogs, instantly silencing Sienna's sisters. She had to wipe the stains off the sofa and her little face, which was covered in ketchup, but it wasn't too bad.

She had just sat down again, intending to continue her homework, when she received a text message from Sam marked "urgent".

Sienna frowned, opened her text message, and then looked up at the television. "Trinity, would you mind if I changed the channel? Oh, where's the remote?"

This sparked a new round of searching for the remote. It wasn't among any of the sofa cushions, under the sofa, or in the kitchen or bathroom. Finally, Sienna found it completely dismantled in Maple's room. Maple stared at the floor, her face flushed, and Sienna couldn't bring herself to scold her. She instead switched the television to the news channel.

An advertisement is playing.

Sienna waited impatiently for the commercials to end so she could watch the breaking news on the hour.

A man stood in a field, several vans behind him, and soldiers who appeared to be from the Heroic Response Force (HRF) running around setting up roadblocks. He held a microphone to his mouth. “It looks like the perimeter is still being set up. The evacuation of the city has only just begun, and the early post-apocalyptic conditions are making the process even more difficult—”

The announcer's words were interrupted by a torrential downpour.

It wasn't a drizzle, but a torrential downpour like a burst dam, as if someone had emptied a lake overhead. He coughed, spitting water from his mouth, then pulled his coat over his head to shield himself from the rain.

“I just said!” he shouted through the rain, “It looks like the first ‘Endgame’ event in years is about to begin in O’Claire! Heroic Reaction Force—”

Sienna muted the TV.

She stared blankly at the television.

Teddy curled up in the blanket, staring at the television screen that only showed a picture, his eyelids starting to droop.

This... could mean a lot of trouble. But it could also be an unprecedented opportunity.

Regardless, she had a bad feeling.

[Final Mission!]

[Shadows Approach]

Beneath the peaceful surface of Auclair City lurks a dark force seeking to overthrow everything. They now possess a mysterious artifact that can plunge the city into endless rainy nights. Stop the heroes from seizing this artifact and help the villains complete their plan.

[Reward: For each day you successfully prevent an attack, you can upgrade one skill to its maximum level. If you obtain a mysterious item, you will gain the ability to freely change the displayed faction.]

“Oh my God—” Sienna said, looking at the words in front of her, “There is simply no choice.”

Sienna isn't a good villain; she longs to be a hero, a villainous hero, and now her chance has come.

"Boss, what's wrong?" Trinity noticed Sienna's unusual behavior.

"The final mission has begun."

"Yay! Finally, I can show off my skills! This time, I definitely won't get knocked down again!" Teddy was eager to try. She still couldn't forget the embarrassment of being knocked down by Ruttles before.

"Don't sleep like a sleepy bear every day, or you won't be defeated then," Athena said, looking at Teddy who had just been dozing off.

“A bear that doesn’t want to sleep is definitely not a good bear. I’m just conserving my energy,” Teddy retorted.

"Boss, I will definitely protect you and help you complete the mission." Aurora had learned from her sisters about the difficulties they had faced in dealing with Ruttles. As a new sister, she wanted to try her best to prove herself to her boss.

"Yes, I believe you." Sienna said with some relief.

For someone as socially awkward as her to have such a group of friends—no, wait!—is truly remarkable, and she's very grateful for that.
