Sienna pressed the small button on her cane, and with a crisp "click," the cane instantly extended to its full length, a sound that reminded her of two billiard balls colliding.

The cane was entirely matte black, with only a small silver tip at the bottom and no other decorations. The handle was slightly curved, fitting her hand perfectly, but that was all.

This is just a cane that can extend and retract quickly. It looks like it can't be stored inside the user, but it can.

It's still a gun. Maple noticed a slight problem when Sienna used her homemade railgun based on the toaster principle... so Maple specially crafted this smaller, more compact railgun for Sienna.

The gun can fire a metal rod (Sienna suspects it is a pen cap) at an “extremely fast” speed, as Maple Leaf says.

She never dared to try.

Sienna was never one to sit still, but at this moment she couldn't help but repeatedly press the button to extend and retract her cane.

She had a great time at the campsite that day. She encouraged Teddy, Trinity, and even the more reserved Athena to run around.

They played hide-and-seek and chase games, getting themselves all dirty while exploring the woods.

Athena got lost along the way, but the "Sister Teleportation" came in handy, easily bringing her back without any mishaps.

They also practiced using tools made from maple leaves. Trinity had to learn how to coordinate her movements while partially invisible.

Teddy had to master the timing of swinging the hammer, while... well, Athena didn't take long to figure out how to use her monocular telescope, after all, her tools were relatively simple.

Maple Leaf made something else, but this time she didn't box it or wrap it in floral paper.

It was a small device. Sienna recognized the remote control parts, and a small metal box from which several metal rods extended, bent at odd angles. The entire device was held together with hot glue and numerous rubber bands.

This is a shockproof device for maple leaves.

"It prevents things from shaking," Maple Leaf said with a smug smile. "But don't worry, I'm sure it won't affect the shaking of the human body, because I don't know if that would be harmful to you. Do certain parts of the brain need to shake to function properly?"

“Yes, that’s a good idea,” Sienna said. Then, because Maple Leaf hadn’t created something that could accidentally kill everyone around it once activated, she patted Maple Leaf’s head again as a reward.

Sienna loves all her sisters, but she's also a little afraid of them. The sheer power concentrated in these tiny, clueless little creatures is quite frightening.

Returning home from this short trip was much easier than setting off.

Maple Leaf had exhausted her social energy and was unusually quiet, while the other sisters, who had been running around for hours, were hungry and tired, making the drive back to Auclair a pleasantly quiet one.

“We should let them run around like this more often,” Sam said in a low voice.

“Yes,” Sienna agreed. “It’s great.”

She turned around in her seat and looked at the back of the truck.

The girls were all asleep. At least a few were. Teddy's head was tilted back so far that her neck would be killing her if she were Sienna's age. Her mouth was wide open, and she was snoring softly.

Trinity lay on Teddy's lap with one of them, rested her head on Teddy's shoulder with another, and lay on the floor, curled up between Athena's knees.

Athena and Maple Leaf were more or less awake, talking in hushed tones, but Athena was the main one doing the talking. Even so, her head kept drooping forward and then suddenly lifting up, trying hard not to fall asleep.

Sienna took out her phone, leaned back on her headrest, and snapped a picture. Her mother would love it, even though the girls' legs were covered in mud.

They arrived home quickly, and Sienna had to herd her sleepy sisters back to the underground bunker. Despite their complaints, she insisted that everyone take a shower.

As she cooked a large pot of macaroni and cheese, she said goodbye to Sam, then fed her sisters and put them to bed.

Sienna found herself standing in the living room, a wave of exhaustion washing over her, but she still had so much to do. She needed to check schoolwork and verify her plans. So she sat down at her computer, opened YouTube, and started watching cute animal videos.

She especially enjoys watching videos of kittens trying to jump but failing because they are too small and cannot accurately judge the distance.

When Sienna glanced at the time and realized it was already 10:30, she was startled. It was difficult to keep track of time in their underground bunker, especially since there were no windows to see outside.

She slammed her laptop shut, annoyed that she hadn't done anything productive in the past few hours. She quickly took a shower and returned to her bedroom to find all her sisters crammed into her bed.

She rolled her eyes, found some extra blankets, grabbed a soft sweater to use as a pillow, and went back to the sofa.

A few hours later, she was awakened by the pain of a knee hitting her kidney. She moved and suddenly realized that there was a heavy pile of things on her leg, and several warm bodies squeezed between her and the back of the sofa.

It's a miracle she didn't roll off the sofa while she was asleep, as she was so close to the edge.

Sienna groaned, struggling to pull out an arm, found her phone, and stared sleepily at the screen. It was almost 6:30. She thought it was about time to get up.

The problem is how to break free from this group of people, but she has recently gained a lot of experience in this regard.

She stumbled to the bathroom, brushed her teeth (she had to set an example), then quickly finished her morning routine before starting to prepare breakfast.

She usually lets her sisters make their own breakfast. Eating cereal isn't a big deal (unless Maple Leaf gets involved), although her sisters always manage to create a new mess with milk and Lake Owen cereal every morning.

But today is an important day. So she cracked a few eggs, took out a box of pancake batter, and a few breakfast sausages.

For a moment, she turned around and found a group of little ones, still half asleep, quietly walking to the dining table and watching her cook.

The food was served one serving at a time as it was prepared, so this breakfast was not perfect, but they still devoured it like a pack of hungry wolves who had found leftovers.

“Alright.” Sienna sat down with her breakfast in hand. “Today is a big day, we have many goals to achieve, so do you have any questions?” She slapped away Teddy’s hand that was reaching for the sausage in her breakfast.

"It's nothing, we all know," Teddy said confidently, flicking his fingers.

Sienna didn't believe her. "Anyway, let's review," she said. "Trinity, what's the goal for today?"

“Uh,” Trinity said in unison, “get stronger?”

"Mostly right. The goal is for all of you, including myself, to complete a few small tasks so we can have more opportunities to upgrade our skills. Teddy, what do we do?"

Teddy rubbed the area below his nose. "Should we do a charity event?"

“Yes,” Sienna said. “Go on.”

"We want to persuade people to donate money for something, and then steal the money."

“Mostly correct,” Sienna said. “Maple Leaf, what are your and your sisters’ tasks in the charity event?”

Maple blushed, stared at the table, and then suddenly exclaimed, "Oh! Sam said we just need to look cute!"

“That’s right,” Sienna said.

Maple Leaf raised her hand, as if to ask a question. "Big Sister Sienna, how can we look cute?"

“Don’t worry about that,” Sienna said. “Just be natural. You’ll be fine. Athena, what are some contingency plans?” This was a tricky question; she wasn’t sure if her other sisters remembered.

“If other villains appear, we'll stick together and run away. If anyone lays a hand on us, we'll kick their shin. If anyone asks too many questions, we'll go find you or Sam,” Athena said.

“That’s great,” Sienna said. “It sounds like you’re all ready for today.”

In fact, they were not prepared at all.

But she felt that even with a year to prepare, she still felt unprepared for what was happening today. So, being reasonably prepared was her biggest hope.

Moreover, this event was relatively simple, and she didn't think anything major would go wrong.
