The socially awkward villain's furry superpower

Chapter 140 Spinning Nonstop, Yet Still at a Disadvantage

"Spin Winner" frowned; the entire security station was malfunctioning.

The computer not only crashed, but also crackled and popped, sparks flew from the side, and the screen shattered. The whole room was filled with the peculiar, sweet smell of burnt electronic equipment.

“Uh…” the agent sitting in front of the control panel said.

Just moments before, "Spinning Winner" had seen a considerable number of masked men storm into his building. Six masked men... and a bear. The ruthlessness they displayed towards their own men was truly worrying.

Seeing that someone skilled at making gadgets was clearly behind it all was even more unsettling. Their guns had all malfunctioned simultaneously, and now the security system was completely paralyzed.

"Communications have also been lost, sir," an agent said.

“Damn it!” he cursed. “Get out of here. Go out the back door, they’re too close to the front. Send someone to the basement… no, wait. Destroy all the data here, then get out of here. You.” He pointed to an agent. “Get out of here and see if you can contact the rapid reaction force to stall them.”

"Yes, sir." The agent said, grabbing a cell phone and rushing out of the room.

He had his own primary mission. This attack was hardly good news for his resume, but most of his superiors were reasonable. What could a masked man do against such overwhelming odds?

He snorted in disgust, strode out of the control room, and went into the adjacent restroom. He locked the door, then gripped the edge of the sink tightly and closed his eyes. His mind began to race.

This was more of a mental spinning sensation than an actual physical rotation. In his imagination, everything was spinning, and he gripped the sturdy sink tightly to ward off the sudden dizziness.

Using his superpowers can hardly be considered gentle, but these powers also have their advantages.

When he opened his eyes and looked in the mirror, he had a completely new face.

He straightened up, then jumped a few times to warm up his new body. It was a woman, brown hair, light green eyes. He estimated she was about thirty-five or thirty-six years old; he was very good at judging these things.

He adjusted his new chest, then reached under his coat, pulled his trousers up, and tightened his belt.

One of his secondary abilities is that after each rotation, any clothes he wears will change shape to fit his new body.

That's why he always wears custom-made suits as part of his attire; after all, as a masked person, such suits are basically unisex and very appropriate.

In addition, the bulletproof vest he wore under his jacket, made by a gadget specialist, was quite thick and padded to accommodate some changes in his body.

He was already used to changing bodies, but what he needed to adapt to was the change in superpowers that came with each change. He clenched his fist, and a ball of flame instantly erupted from it.

The flames licked his skin, but felt no hotter than the water he used to wash his hands. He also felt as if he had become a little stronger, and perhaps a little more agile.

So, it's a slight increase in physical strength combined with fire control. He can utilize this ability.

He pulled his now-long hair back to keep it from hitting his face as he walked out of the bathroom. "I'm going to the basement."

His voice was very different from what he was used to, but this was just another change he needed to get used to.

A few inexperienced agents glanced at him, but they had already been briefed on his capabilities. He simply ignored those who looked at him with suspicion. Now was not the time to concern himself with that.

"Do you need protection, sir?" the security chief asked.

"You come with me, and bring the people you can spare. The rest of you, get moving quickly, we need to evacuate as soon as possible, so be fast."

The agents sprang into action. Undoubtedly, some equipment had to be abandoned. There wasn't much else they could do. At least they erased the data from the computer hard drives.

Most computers contain miniature explosives; once detonated, they leave nothing but ashes.

An agent was spraying disinfectant around with a manual sprayer, and the smell of the disinfectant filled the room with a pungent odor.

This can remove fingerprints and even melt away loose hair and skin follicles.

He didn't want to stay in this room. Strictly speaking, his lungs were brand new now, and he didn't want the smell to linger on his clothes.

They ran down the corridor and then went straight down the stairwell to the basement. The automated defense systems down there should be… actually, he wasn't even sure if they were still working properly.

Once he reached the basement level, he moved to the side, away from the door, and patted one of the agents on the shoulder.

"You go in first."

He didn't want to be the first to risk attacking them if the automatic turrets turned on them.

The door opened, and the agent wasn't thrown to the ground by any force, so they filed in. "We'll take the prisoners and leave," he said.

Taking something with you is better than getting nothing at all.

A sudden thought struck him, and he nearly lost his footing. The masked group that attacked them were locals. The one called "Boss," and... he couldn't remember all the details about the others.

But the two children they took away must have been members of this group.

They came here not to save Aleya Iakta, but to save the remaining girl, the one who might cause one or two nightmares.

“Keep a close eye on the male prisoner and keep the girl,” he said.

There was no need to force the masked group to turn the rescue operation into a chase. Most of their escape vehicles were in the garage, right next to the entrance they had come in through.

This means they will have to rely on the trucks parked around the base.

As he was pondering this, he suddenly heard a crashing sound coming from the end of the corridor. The cell was in the middle of the corridor, which meant... the masked men were about to reach him.

"Hurry up!" he shouted, and then he ran down the corridor.

The security chief was the first to run to the cell, take a key out of his pocket, and open the cell door. At the same time, the other agents held batons and kept a close eye on the door at the end of the room.

That door led to another stairwell, and he was certain that the masked men had come from there.

The cell door opened, and the security chief grunted as a small fist suddenly shot out from the cell, striking him squarely between the legs.

Even though the body structure was different now, "Spin Winner" still frowned.

“Go to hell, you idiot!” the girl, who should have been locked in a cell, shouted.

He specifically sent people down to make sure she wasn't released. Were they distracted? Does that mean she still has a knife?

The girl tried to run away, but was tackled by his two agents. It really took two people to subdue this little troublemaker.

She twisted and kicked, and even headbutted an agent in the nose, causing the agent to scream in pain as his nose was broken.

"Grab her!" he shouted, then strode into the cell. Aleya Iakta had already loosened half of her restraints, and he pointed to his face, orange flames erupting from his hands. Aleya stopped and stared at him.

“Come with us,” said “Spin Winner.”

Immediately afterwards, the door at the end of the corridor crashed to the ground with a loud bang, and a bear began to squeeze towards it.

Fortunately, the bear got stuck there; its rump was too wide to pass.

The girl, pinned to the ground, began to giggle. "Your ass is too big!" she yelled at the bear, who roared back.

"The Spinning Winner" wasn't going to waste any time. He grabbed the prisoner's arm, then touched the ropes binding him to the chair and burned them off. "Let's go," he said.

The security chief limped behind him. The worst of the pain should have passed. "We should evacuate, sir," he said.

“Yes, we should—” He was about to agree when he suddenly felt a strange sensation, as if a force was pulling him from somewhere behind his navel, through his body, and toward the person he was holding.

It felt like the strangest case of indigestion he had ever experienced.

He released Aleya Iakta and then slapped the back of the head of the person behind him.

"Sir?" the security chief asked.

“He’s trying to steal my luck,” said “Spin Winner.”

“I think I need more luck than you do,” Aleya Iakta said. “Believe me, if you wanted to deal with Sienna, you would also want to be as lucky as possible.”

I've never seen her angry, but she still scared me half to death, buddy.

Now she's come to save me for free, I owe her so much. You two are the ones who kidnapped her kids.

"Shut up," he snapped, shoving him and pushing him faster down the corridor. The bear was tearing apart the door frame at the other end, and he didn't want to wait and see what would happen once it broke free.

"Oh, buddy, you're dead meat... Wait, weren't you a guy before? How come you've become sexy now?"

"Spin Winner" glared angrily. This day couldn't be worse.
