The messenger is actually a Bodhisattva.
Like Ananda and Kasyapa, they were called Venerable Ones, but in reality, they were also Bodhisattvas.
In other words, after the Journey to the West ends, Buddhism will have two more Buddhas, two more Bodhisattvas, and one more Arhat.
This aligns perfectly with the aspirations of the flourishing of Buddhism.
The fruit position is the lower limit, just as the fruit position in the human immortal realm suppresses the fortune, the same is true for the fruit position in the primordial world.
Without attaining a high rank, you can cultivate to become a Golden Immortal, or even a Taiyi Golden Immortal, but you can never become a Daluo Golden Immortal.
