The next morning, Cuiling said that Doudou had been a bit fussy the night before and she had barely slept. Xiaomeng told her to catch up on her sleep in the room while she took Doudou out to play.

"And what about these horses?"

"These are horses that our boss specially kept to entertain guests. They are not the racehorses of the past, but horses with better temperaments."

The steward had five or six tall, fine horses brought in for them to choose from.

This puppy—no, this pony—is cow-colored, with large black patches on its body. Its head and legs are white. It has big eyes with long eyelashes, and a pink, moist nose.

"So, this horse is very old?"

I never imagined that this seemingly small horse was already a middle-aged or elderly one. This breed would make a great pet; it can be cute from a young age to old age.

Xiaomeng took Doudou's hand and touched Xiaoma's face. The child immediately became bolder and dared to touch Xiaoma himself.

After bribing the rider with a carrot, he encouraged him, saying the horse was ready and the child could be put on the saddle.

Children seem to be naturally appealing to animals. This miniature horse was already very docile, and with a carrot in its mouth, it became even more obedient, moving when told to move and stopping when told to stop.

Because of the perfectly fitting saddle, even though DouDou couldn't walk yet, she could already hold onto the handles on the saddle and sit steadily on the horse all by herself. When riding, she could even sway naturally along with the pony's stride without any instruction.

Of course, the adults wouldn't dare let go. Xiaomeng held onto Doudou's collar tightly the whole time, so that if the horse suddenly went berserk, she could pull her niece off in time.

After walking the whole thing, she realized she had worried too much; the horse was indeed docile and would be an excellent ride for children.

This little creature is so adorable that Xiaomeng is tempted to buy one. "It's so cute! Do you sell these ponies? I want one too. Do they need to be imported?"

“Our boss also has partnered horse farms in mainland China, so they might have some stock. You can ask Dr. Lang to help you make some contact, and we should be able to buy it,” the butler suggested.

Xiaomeng thought about it and realized it made sense. Many cities in mainland China now have horse farms around them, so maybe she could just ask around and buy one.
