All-around teacher at the magic academy
Chapter 62 Raphael
"Teacher Aiden, you are really amazing!" Elsa's eyes sparkled with admiration. When she saw Aiden return from the competition, she couldn't help but exclaim and ran over, as excited as a little fan meeting her idol.
"Yes, yes!" Others also gathered around, their faces beaming with admiration. Their voices rose and fell like waves of enthusiasm.
"As expected of Teacher Aiden!" someone exclaimed, shaking their head with admiration. In their hearts, Aiden was not just a teacher, but a hero who saved the academy.
“Yes, he can even summon magic,” another person exclaimed in amazement. He had just witnessed Aiden’s amazing performance from the stands and still found it hard to believe.
"Don't even mention it! I was terrified when the Storm Eagle came out!" another person said, patting his chest. His voice still carried a hint of lingering fear, clearly shocked by the Storm Eagle summoned by Aiden.
Aiden stood in the center of the crowd, listening to the praise. He simply smiled, a hint of shyness and helplessness in his expression. He gently shook his head, as if he didn't care about the compliments.
In fact, he didn't want to reveal his ability to summon magic so soon.
This is just the qualifiers; the real challenges and top players will be in the knockout stage. The real high-intensity competition begins in the knockout rounds. If he reveals all his cards now, what will he do in the knockout stages? This question weighed heavily on his mind.
Aiden's gaze deepened, and he began to worry. His goal had never been merely to pass the qualifiers; he harbored higher ambitions and dreams.
However, if they don't win this match, their college might not qualify for the knockout stage. Only if their college advances to the knockout stage can they have a bigger stage, go further, and gain wider recognition for their abilities.
"Sigh." Aiden couldn't help but sigh softly. Although his voice was small, it sounded particularly heavy in Elsa's ears.
"What's wrong, Mr. Aiden? You're not happy even though you won the match?" Elsa keenly noticed the change in Mr. Aiden's mood beside her. She turned her head, her eyes filled with concern and confusion, and asked softly.
Aiden looked up and met Elsa's concerned gaze. He smiled slightly and tried to make his tone sound relaxed: "It's nothing, nothing, I just need to think about some things."
He shook his head, as if trying to shake off his worries. "Forget it, I don't want to think about it anymore. We won this game, so getting into the knockout stage is practically guaranteed. I'll think about the rest later," Aiden told himself, trying to shift his focus to the joy in front of him.
"Come on, everyone said we should celebrate! We can't believe we actually made it to the knockout stage!" Elsa didn't ask any more questions. She excitedly grabbed Teacher Aiden's hand, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.
"Mhm." Aiden nodded, not wanting to spoil everyone's fun with his own emotions. After all, making it to the knockout stage was indeed something to celebrate for the entire academy. He decided to temporarily put aside his worries and share this joy with everyone.
...
"Brother, what are you doing here? I've been looking for you for ages." Aurora tiptoed up behind the figure standing by the garden outside and asked curiously.
The man slowly turned his head, looking towards the source of the voice. He involuntarily raised an eyebrow, a gentle smile flashing in his eyes. "Aurora, is there something you need?"
"Are you going to watch the game in place of Father this time, brother?" Aurora looked up at him, a hint of expectation in her eyes.
"Yes, Father is very busy with official duties and can't get away, so I have to go in his place," the man explained softly, his tone revealing respect for his father.
Then, as if he had suddenly thought of something, he raised an eyebrow slightly and asked, "By the way, did you participate in this competition?"
Aurora shook her head gently, a hint of sadness flashing in her eyes. "No."
“That’s true, you’re only in first grade, it’s still too early for you.” The man suddenly realized, his tone filled with tolerance and understanding for his younger sister.
"I can only say that I'm not good enough. Hansen is also a first-year student, and he was able to participate." Aurora sighed, her expression revealing deep regret.
"Hansen?" the man repeated the name, puzzled. "Which Hansen?"
“Who else could it be but Hansen Adams?” Aurora quickly explained, a complex emotion unconsciously flickering in her eyes as she mentioned the name.
"Oh, oh, oh, the son of Duke Adams. The Adams family is indeed full of good-for-nothings." The man said thoughtfully. After speaking, his hand unconsciously and gently plucked a flower from the flower bed next to him, as if afraid of disturbing the flower's tranquility.
As he recalled Eric Adams, his face darkened, his brows furrowing, as if he could feel the bitterness of that defeat.
"He is truly an exceptionally talented genius." The man's voice carried a hint of undeniable admiration, but also a lingering sense of frustration.
Aurora looked at her brother, knowing he was still bitter about losing to Eric in the competition. There was no way around it; Eric was simply too outstanding. Such excellence often breeds envy, and can even be difficult for the loser to accept.
Raphael Stewart, the eldest prince of the Kingdom of Odris, has lived in the spotlight since birth. His every move is closely watched, and he always performs impeccably.
However, the only blemish on his impeccable reputation was his defeat to Eric Adams. This has caused him to harbor resentment ever since, and he becomes emotional and turbulent whenever Eric is mentioned.
"The knockout stage should be starting soon, right?" Raphael turned his head, his gaze falling on Aurora, and asked.
“Yes, there are only 5 days left,” Aurora replied, a hint of anticipation in her voice.
"By the way, the teacher you mentioned before?" Raphael seemed to suddenly remember something, his eyes flashing as he broke the brief silence.
“Teacher Leon.” Aurora immediately understood what her brother meant and added an explanation.
“Yes, Leon Guern.” Raphael nodded, a hint of interest flashing in his eyes. “This trip to Barton City will be a good opportunity to pay him a visit and see what kind of person he is.”
"Did he participate in the competition?" Raphael then asked, showing great interest in the young teacher.
“I participated,” Aurora replied, a hint of pride on her face.
“It’s time to get ready to go to Barton City.” Raphael looked up, his gaze piercing through the clouds and looking at the distant horizon, as if talking to himself, or perhaps to Aurora.
