Cheng Ying followed the group of people to a cell. It wasn't really a cell; it was more like a warehouse, otherwise it wouldn't be able to hold so many people. Right across from this warehouse was another warehouse, both roughly the same size. One side held women and children, while the other held young, strong men.

The civilians, regardless of age or gender, huddled together in fear. Several men in the warehouse holding the men glared angrily at the Japanese soldiers, gripping the warehouse door tightly. They stared at the Japanese soldiers outside the window but remained silent. It seemed some of these civilians still had some backbone, but even with their courage, they couldn't fight against the enemy and could only endure it for the time being.

The traitors led the major general to the area where women and children were being held. One of the traitors ordered the door opened, and a soldier came over with the key and opened it. A moment later, the door opened, and two traitors went in and dragged two young girls out. Immediately, a cacophony of voices erupted from inside. Some were holding the girls' hands, trying to stop them from leaving; those holding their hands were probably the girls' relatives, but it was all in vain. Finally, one of the traitors kicked him to the ground and forcibly dragged the two girls out. The two girls wept uncontrollably, tears streaming down their faces, but they also knew that their fate was no longer in their own hands.

Two traitors dragged the two girls to the two officers, who each grabbed one and started to walk away. The civilians were being detained, and both sides were shouting, some begging them not to take the girls away, others cursing them as beasts and not human, but all their efforts were in vain. They could only watch helplessly as the officers dragged the two girls away.

At this moment, Cheng Ying almost lost her temper and hit him, but she gritted her teeth and clenched her fists, knowing that now was not the time. She had to wait a little longer. She needed to act quickly. She had to rescue the local people first, and then go and rescue the two little girls. Hopefully, it was still not too late.

After the gate was closed again, she observed the enemy troops left behind. There were about 20 enemy soldiers, not too many; she could handle them by herself. The key was how to get so many civilians out of here safely. Never mind that for now, she'd take out these enemy soldiers first!

Cheng Ying acted swiftly. While invisible, she pulled out a dagger and slit the throats of the men one by one. They didn't even have time to react before realizing how quickly and efficiently Cheng Ying had taken them down. Then she found the keys and opened both warehouse doors. Of course, before opening the doors, she had told the villagers not to make a sound and to come out one by one without crowding. The villagers cooperated well; in fact, when the soldiers fell one by one for no apparent reason, they knew someone was coming to rescue them.

Although Cheng Ying released the villagers, she did not let them leave through the main gate. She knew that no matter how careful they were, it would be impossible for such a small group to reach the city gate safely. So, Cheng Ying devised a plan. She placed a ladder next to a low house that connected to several main houses. She wanted the villagers to climb the ladder to the roof. Halfway up, Cheng Ying repeatedly told the villagers not to make a sound, to take their time, and not to rush. She instructed them to climb up one by one, and once they reached the roof, to lie down on it and not to stand up.

Although this method was a bit outrageous, it was the best solution Cheng Ying could think of. These large houses were all tiled roofs, very sturdy, and wouldn't be afraid of so many people climbing up and crushing the roof. Quickly, the villagers orderly climbed onto the roof one by one, quietly lying down on it. Even the children had their mouths covered by adults to prevent them from making a sound. Before this, the families of the two girls who had been taken away earlier had begged Cheng Ying to rescue them. Cheng Ying assured them that she would come to rescue them, telling them not to worry and to hide there and try not to make a sound. Cheng Ying said that she would hide the ladder after she went down and would come back to get them when it was safe.

The villagers cooperated well with Cheng Ying's arrangements, trying their best not to cause her any trouble. Once Cheng Ying had made the arrangements, the villagers quickly climbed down the ladder and hid it. As soon as Cheng Ying stepped outside, she used spatial concealment again, fearing that someone might be watching her from the shadows. By becoming invisible, Cheng Ying was no longer worried about being discovered!
