When Cheng Ying returned after completing the mission and reported to the two regimental commanders, Regimental Commander Liu Yang and Captain Sun were both astonished, their mouths agape. Had she really accomplished it so easily? Was she lying to them? Regimental Commander Wei Jianjun was initially surprised as well, but then calmly considered Cheng Ying's abilities; it was entirely possible.

Captain Sun said, "Cheng Ying, say it again! You said you've already captured the soldiers inside the watchtower!" Cheng Ying smiled and said, "Yes, Captain, when have I ever lied to you? The best thing to do now is to capture the watchtower as soon as possible and then attack Zhuoxian. Otherwise, by the time the Japanese troops inside Zhuoxian realize something is wrong, we will have lost the initiative."

Upon hearing this, Regiment Commander Liu Yang finally snapped out of his surprise and immediately said to Captain Sun, "Captain Sun, immediately lead your men to capture the watchtower first, then send men to scout out the Japanese camp in Zhuoxian County, and then plan how to attack them." Captain Sun replied, "Yes, I'll do it right away."

Captain Sun led his men into the watchtower and was overjoyed to see everything inside. They had finally taken down this tough nut to crack. This was all thanks to Cheng Ying; without her, who knows how many of our men would have been sacrificed!

Captain Sun then sent men to Zhuoxian to investigate the enemy's situation, but the feedback was disappointing. His comrades reported that the civilians inside had been captured by the enemy, and it seemed they already knew the watchtower had been taken over. The enemy was trying to force the watchtower to be handed over using the lives of the civilians. Captain Sun immediately informed the two regimental commanders of the situation.

Upon learning of the situation, the two regimental commanders immediately convened an emergency meeting. Everyone's faces were grave, and they remained silent. At this moment, Cheng Ying stood up and said, "Commander, we cannot abandon the people; we must find a way to rescue them." Commander Wei nodded, "But we cannot easily compromise and hand over the watchtower. We need to find a way that benefits both sides." After some discussion, they decided that Cheng Ying would lead a small team to infiltrate Zhuoxian County and negotiate with the enemy. Meanwhile, the main force would remain on standby outside, ready to provide support at any time. Cheng Ying accepted the mission. She knew the journey would be fraught with danger, but for the sake of the people, she was resolute. As night fell, Cheng Ying led her team quietly into Zhuoxian County…

Upon entering Zhuoxian County, the surroundings were unusually quiet. Although most people should be asleep at this time, it shouldn't be this quiet. Cheng Ying led her team to observe the area. They tentatively entered a house, only to find it empty. They then split up and checked several other houses, confirming that no one was home. To avoid falling into an enemy trap, she arranged for her squad to hide nearby, while Cheng Ying herself stealthily entered the enemy's guarded area to investigate.

Cheng Ying entered the enemy camp while invisible, only to find it brightly lit and surrounded by enemy patrols. The patrols were well-organized and meticulous, leaving no hidden corner unchecked. If Cheng Ying hadn't been invisible, the enemy wouldn't have been able to detect her; normally, her movements would have been easily spotted. Thankfully, she had told her teammates to hide and not act rashly!

Cheng Ying continued her investigation under the cover of night. The enemy must have imprisoned the villagers somewhere. She had to find them as soon as possible to prevent their lives from being in danger!

The military camp was enormous, seemingly the county government's office. Cheng Ying surveyed the surroundings, circling twice before realizing that her fellow villagers weren't there. Where had the enemy imprisoned them? Just as Cheng Ying was worrying, two enemy officers approached, followed by three figures who appeared to be traitors.

All that could be heard were three traitors, one of whom said to the two officers, "Major General Suzuki has found a few nice girls among the common people. If the Major General and the Japanese officers are willing, I will arrange it, hehe!" Cheng Ying was furious when she heard this. These traitors should all go to hell, and these sellouts should not live in this world.

But from their conversation, it seemed that following them would lead to the place where the villagers were being held, so Cheng Ying decided to go with them. Cheng Ying quietly followed them to the gate of the military camp, and after walking a short distance, they arrived at a large-looking courtyard.

Cheng Ying thought to herself, no wonder she couldn't find their place of confinement in the military camp. The enemy was so cautious that they had imprisoned them in a civilian's courtyard. There wasn't even a guard outside the door. The enemy was cunning enough to deliberately leave no guards outside the door, but there were patrols in the courtyard, one after another. The guards were so tight that it was like a slack exterior but a tight interior, a way to confuse the enemy!
