Parents' Love: My Childhood Sweethearts with Jiang Weidong

Chapter 56 Lin Wangshu and Jiang Weidong reconcile

Things had gotten serious. Jiang Weidong was so upset by her crying that his hands and feet went numb. He hadn't meant to upset her, but now he had only made things worse.

Looking at the dark head in his arms, Jiang Weidong felt a mix of emotions, a bittersweet feeling. As he piloted his plane through the blue sky, there was a girl who worried about him day and night.

He was wrong; he shouldn't have kept it from his little moon.

Jiang Weidong gently lifted her small face; Lin Wangshu was crying so hard that she had no regard for her appearance.

Tears streamed down her face, but her eyes, washed clean by the tears, remained bright and clear, filled with anger, dissatisfaction, and a barely perceptible hint of grievance.

But Jiang Weidong didn't care. He saw the fear deep in Lin Wangshu's heart, looking into those bright, shining eyes.

He couldn't help but lower his head, kiss away the tears from Lin Wangshu's eyes, look directly into her red eyes, soften his voice, and show her weakness.

"Little Moon, I lied. I'm really in pain."

With just that one sentence, Lin Wangshu's anger instantly dissipated. She reached out and touched his body, her tone anxious and distressed.

"Does it still hurt? Where exactly are you injured? Let me take a look!"

Seeing her posture, as if she was about to strip him naked, Jiang Weidong quickly grabbed her hand, but he was in a very good mood, smiling broadly.

"And one more thing, if you could kiss me, it wouldn't hurt at all."

Seeing that he was still in the mood to joke, Lin Wangshu paused, glared at him angrily, and slapped him hard on the chest.

"Then you'll just have to suffer the pain!"

Jiang Weidong clutched his chest and cried out in pain, then bent down, took her hand, and pressed it against his face, looking at her pitifully.

"Little Moon, don't you really want to kiss me?"

Even though she knew he was faking it, Lin Wangshu still couldn't resist looking at Jiang Weidong's face, which appeared even more handsome due to his thinness.

She tiptoed, wrapped her arms around his neck, and gently kissed him on the lips, pouting as she softly hummed, "Is that okay?"

Of course not! The soft lips touched briefly before parting, and Jiang Weidong licked his lips, his eyes full of dissatisfaction.

He wanted to lower his head and go further, but his hat blocked his way. Jiang Weidong took off the hat, handed it to Lin Wangshu, and said in a hoarse voice, "Take it."

Lin Wangshu took it blankly, then felt herself being pushed against the wall, and then everything went black as Jiang Weidong pressed her against the wall and kissed her.

Jiang Weidong, having removed his hat, seemed to have been unleashed, his movements becoming hurried and somewhat rough. Lin Wangshu felt her lips ache from his rough handling.

Clutching the brim of her hat tightly, Lin Wangshu timidly stuck out her tongue to gently soothe him. Jiang Weidong was like a hungry wolf that hadn't eaten meat in a long time, which frightened her a little.

Jiang Weidong sensed it, and his grip on her waist tightened, but his movements softened.

In this deserted corner, two people who haven't seen each other for a long time express their longing through a kiss.

When they returned, the barrier between them had disappeared. Lin Wangshu pursed her swollen lips, trying her best to appear calm.

On the other side, the regimental commander watched as Jiang Weidong, looking refreshed, sat next to Lin Wangshu, peeling peanuts for her with great enthusiasm. The two were getting along very well.

The battalion commander was puzzled. "This kid has this trick up his sleeve? He managed to appease her so quickly."

The regimental commander's wife gave him a disdainful look, then smiled knowingly, "Men only know a few tricks to woo women, don't they?"

"This won't do! We're not even married yet! This is a mistake!" The battalion commander understood when he saw the look in his wife's eyes.

"What could they possibly be doing in broad daylight? Just leave it to me," the regimental commander's wife said, stuffing a peach shortbread into his mouth with a disgruntled tone.

Lin Wangshu and Jiang Weidong hadn't seen each other for so long, and she had a lot to say to him. Jiang Weidong was peeling peanuts and melon seeds for her, watching her talk to him with a smile.

He listened attentively, occasionally offering a few comments, and when she got tired of talking, he would hand her the nuts he was holding.

With such an attentive listener, Lin Wangshu spoke even more enthusiastically. When she talked about how Jiang Weimin was still foolish enough to be schemed against after she left, she angrily took a few gulps of orange soda.

Jiang Weidong squeezed hard, and the walnut shell on his hand cracked. "That idiot, he used up several months' worth of my allowance to raise a pig. You shouldn't have bothered with him. Just let him fend for himself."

Lin Wangshu smacked her lips, savoring the sweet and sour soda. She wasn't really angry anymore. Hearing him say that, she stammered, "Don't say that about him. Weimin is quite pitiful too."

Jiang Weidong fed her the walnut kernels in his hand and praised her, "Our little moon is so smart and kind."

Chewing on a walnut, Lin Wangshu's eyes crinkled with delight at his compliment, but she humbly replied, "I'm not that good."

Jiang Weidong felt a warmth in his heart when he saw her so happy that her tail was practically wagging. His little moon was so cute. Just as he was about to say a few more words of praise to her, he felt a weight on his back.

Turning his head, Jiang Weidong saw Qin Feng again. He was furious. He had finally managed to get a chance to be alone with Wang Shu, but Qin Feng kept interfering.

"You'd better have something important to say!" Jiang Weidong squinted at him, his tone unfriendly.

Qin Feng chuckled awkwardly and forced a smile as he asked Lin Wangshu, "Sister-in-law, what's the name of the comrade who came with you?"

Lin Wangshu raised an eyebrow and told the truth, "She is my comrade-in-arms, her name is Shen Jiaojiao, but..."

Seeing Qin Feng's expectant eyes, Lin Wangshu still said, "She already has someone she likes. Look, it's Qin Wangyuan."

Lin Wangshu looked at Shen Jiaojiao, who was smiling and saying something to Qin Wangyuan, but Qin Wangyuan just kept his head down and drank water, not paying much attention to her.

"Hey, we're not married yet, and it seems like our company commander isn't interested."

Qin Feng waved his hand nonchalantly, seemingly unconcerned.

"Alright, alright, are you done asking?" Jiang Weidong said impatiently.

Seeing that Qin Wangyuan had stood up and left, leaving Shen Jiaojiao sitting alone sulking, Qin Feng quickly went over with a big smile.

Lin Wangshu, holding her drink bottle, looked at him with a smile and suddenly asked, "Weidong, I remember you were pretty good at math, weren't you?"

Jiang Weidong was taken aback by her question, then nodded. "Why did you suddenly think of asking this?"

Lin Wangshu leaned closer and whispered to him, "Jiaojiao's family is in Beijing. I heard her say that the college entrance examination will be reinstated soon. I want to start studying first."

Jiang Weidong understood, "Can't learn math?"

He remembered that Lin Wangshu was quite good at math when she was in elementary school, but she struggled a bit as she went on to higher education, so he often tutored her after class.

Lin Wangshu nodded shyly, then tugged at his sleeve and pleaded, "Wei Dong, please help me."

Her sweet voice melted Jiang Weidong's heart. He took her hand, thought for a moment, and said, "Leave it to me. Next time, you can come with me somewhere."
