Lin Wangshu's mood remained low until the day of the social gathering.

She kept wondering how serious Jiang Weidong's injuries were and why he hadn't told her.

Seeing her listless appearance, Shen Jiaojiao became anxious, "Hurry up and change your clothes, we'll be late!"

This was the first time she had seen Jiang Weidong in such a formal military uniform; he looked quite handsome, and she felt an urge to kiss him.

Jiang Weidong was noticeably thinner than before, so he must have been really injured. Lin Wangshu suppressed her smile; she was determined to teach him a lesson this time.

Jiang Weidong finally understood that Lin Wangshu was angry. He straightened his military cap, smiled, and followed her. It was okay; if she was angry, he could just coax her.

Qin Wangyuan stared blankly at the two people going back and forth, "What are those two doing?"

"They're dating!" Shen Jiaojiao said sourly, looking at Jiang Weidong's attentive manner.

Qin Wangyuan was so embarrassed he wanted to dig a hole and crawl into it. Lin Wangshu was actually Jiang Weidong's girlfriend!

He patted his chest as proof.

Lin Wangshu didn't believe it. She grabbed his hand and couldn't hold back her tears any longer. She burst into tears, pressed her forehead against his chest, and cried so hard that her shoulders trembled.

With a hint of pleading in his voice, he said, "Wei Dong, can you please stop? You're scaring me to death!"
