Chapter 103 Breaking the Monkey's Chaos and Destroying the Vajra Formation, Flying Stones Confr

The rascal came back with the cup in his hand.

Hmm, what's going on? The gorilla had no idea what the Diamond Formation was; it was still chasing the cup around, playing by itself.

With a "crack," the cup flew over and hit the staff, shattering it. The gorilla was displeased and took its anger out on the staff, chasing after it and attacking it again. The abbot had no choice but to deal with the gorilla alone once more.

Those who were reciting the Vajra Sutra stood there, unsure whether to stand still or not, and ultimately formed a Vajra Formation to watch the gorilla and the abbot fight. The abbot, exasperated, shouted, "A bunch of useless trash, come up here!"

The monks then swarmed towards the gorilla. Enraged, the gorilla charged at the monks. The monks, however, were no pushovers; their attacks were sharp and effective. The gorilla was quickly hit several times, howling in pain. Finally, the gorilla gave up, threw down its staff, and fled with the monks.

With no one left to attack, the abbot turned his attention back to the old man. He slammed his cane on the table, shattering a corner of it.

The abbot said fiercely, "Hand over that dead man, or I'll raze these outhouses to the ground. Do you believe me?"

The old man took a sip of the wine in his glass and slowly said, "Trust."

The abbot grew impatient: "Where's that dead man?"

The old man said, "I don't know, no one has died here."

The abbot was furious: "Guards, demolish the house!"

The old man remained as unhurried as ever: "Demolishing is easy, but rebuilding is difficult."

"Men, get to work!" The abbot didn't want to waste any more words with the old man, so he gave the order directly, and several monks immediately grabbed their tools and started demolishing the house.

"Who dares?" Luo Xie was the first to step forward. He had no weapon in his hand, so he grabbed a carrying pole from behind the door.

"Heh, you've even been harboring outsiders?" The abbot looked at Luo Xie, as if he had found a new handle against him.

Luo Xie snapped, "Monk, you bunch of people bullying an old man, don't you feel ashamed? You claim to be compassionate monks, what a load of rubbish!" Luo Xie pointed his carrying pole at the abbot, "You, as abbot, are setting a bad example. Do you deserve the staff you hold? This staff looks rather interesting, why don't you lend it to me to play with for a few days?"

"What are you saying?" The abbot was furious. His eyes blazed as he glared at Luo Xie, raising his staff and sweeping it across Luo Xie's face. The two fought for dozens of rounds without a clear victor. At this moment, some of the monks behind finally remembered the fight and surrounded Luo Xie, starting a brawl.

How could Luo Xie possibly withstand a group of monks by himself? As he fought, he shouted back, "Jiang He, aren't you coming out yet?"

Jiang He smiled and immediately responded loudly, "Okay!" before joining in. It wasn't that he didn't want to help, but he wanted to see how Luo Xie and the others were doing, and also get a general understanding of the abbot's group of monks' martial arts skills.

"Lord Luo, I'm here to help you." The old pine tree spirit rolled over as well.

The abbot glanced at the old pine tree spirit, snorted, and thought to himself that since it came in all shapes and sizes, its strength was probably just so-so. Full of confidence, the abbot swung his staff, creating a whooshing sound.

Indeed, Luo Xie and his companions were no match for the monks. The monks possessed a lot of hardness and strength, and even when Luo Xie and Jiang He struck them, it sometimes felt like a tickle. The abbot was even more smug when he saw this.

"Pfft!" A pebble flew by, nearly hitting the abbot's eye. He broke out in a cold sweat, and what was even more frightening was that he hadn't even seen where it came from. It seemed that there was another unseen master on the other side. Suddenly, the abbot feinted with his staff, abandoning his previous attack, and turned to pounce on the old man who was leisurely drinking wine.

The old man was completely unprepared for the abbot's sudden action. By the time he threw the cup in his hand at the abbot, it was too late. The staff shattered the cup with a snap, and then the staff was placed against the old man's neck.
