The abbot's unexpected attack caught Murong Junlan off guard, and he had to retract his thin rope for fear of injuring the old man.

"Come out, or I'll kill him here." The abbot had already fought Murong Junlan at Anqiao Temple. Luo Xie and Jiang He were no match for him, so his presence today was largely motivated by Murong Junlan. He had initially been suspicious, not wanting Murong Junlan to be in cahoots with the old man, as dealing with him had always been a headache. Adding such a powerful enemy would only increase the pressure. However, the reality was different. Murong Junlan was indeed with them. The abbot decided to kidnap the old man and take him to Anqiao Temple.

"Let him go." Murong Junlan walked out of the woods.

The abbot, supporting the old man, loudly commanded, "Vajra Formation!" He wanted to seize today's bargaining chip quickly. He swiftly struck the old man's pressure points and, under the protection of the Vajra Formation, retreated back the way they came. Because of the formidable enemy ahead, he had no choice but to abandon the abbot and instead kidnap the old man; both of them were valuable in his eyes.

"Withdraw." The abbot stood in the middle. The Vajra Formation lived up to its name. Even when Murong Junlan's thin rope struck it, it made a "clang" sound, as if it had hit a steel plate.

"Get out of the way, or I'll kill him right now!" The abbot frantically pressed his staff against the old man's neck, and the old man's face immediately turned bright red.

"Step back." Although Murong Junlan was certain that the abbot would not kill the old man, he still reached out to stop Luo Xie and Jiang He.

The abbot and his group abducted the old man and retreated up the mountain. Just as they were about to disappear around the bend, Jiang He anxiously urged, "Your Highness, what should we do?"

Murong Junlan calmly said, "You go after them alone; we can't start a war."

"Okay." Jiang He accepted the order and left, disappearing at the end of the winding path.

Murong Junlan turned to the old pine tree spirit and said, "Old man, come here. I have an important task for you."

Upon hearing this, the old pine tree spirit happily jumped in front of Murong Junlan, and, imitating Jiang He, bowed with both hands, saying, "I will obey Your Highness's orders."

Murong Junlan looked at the serious old pine tree spirit and couldn't help but chuckle. He instructed, "Transform yourself into a tree, and follow Guard Jiang. Make as much noise as possible, preferably so that the monks think we've caught up with you. But be careful, those monks are very skilled, so you must escape quickly."

The old pine tree spirit felt a warmth in its heart. "Thank you for your concern, Your Highness. I will go and do it right away." After saying that, the old pine tree spirit happily chased after Jiang He.

Murong Junlan was in no hurry. He straightened his clothes, took a long stride and sat down in the seat where the old man had just been sitting. He picked up the wine pot, filled a cup with wine, and began to drink it by himself.

"Stop." Murong Junlan shoved the cup in his hand at Luo Xie. "Drink it."

Luo Xie looked at the wine glass, unsure whether to drink it or not. He turned his head and stood there stubbornly, letting the wine glass flutter in the wind.

Murong Junlan repeated, "I drank it."

Luo Xie glanced back at Murong Junlan, then at the cup in his hand, suddenly snatched it away fiercely, tilted his head back and drank it all in one gulp, shouting back, "Are you satisfied now?"

Murong Junlan, in a very good mood, brought over the wine pot and filled another cup. "Drink it."

Luo Xie felt even more irritated. He grabbed the cup, glared fiercely at Murong Junlan, and then drank it down.

Murong Junlan handed the wine pot to Luo Xie and calmly instructed, "Take it inside and give some to everyone."

Luo Xie stood there motionless, the gas in his stomach swirling into a small whirlwind, about to erupt. He moved his foot and leaped out, but after only two steps, he was pulled back by Murong Junlan's silver ring phantom.

Luo Xie was furious and turned around to slash at Murong Junlan, but then the innkeeper's voice came from behind: "Young Master Bai said he wants to drink."

Upon hearing this, Murong Junlan casually tossed the wine pot over.

Just as Luo Xie was about to unleash his second move, he heard a loud "crack" behind him as the table, already chipped at one corner, shattered into pieces. Luo Xie felt a chill run down his spine. He turned around and saw the abbot leading several men, charging back menacingly.

The abbot shouted, "Tear it down!"
