The daily life of the crew of "Beasts".

Chapter 44 is not completely resolved.

A ray of morning sunlight fell upon a small, gold and white Pixiu, the gentle light highlighting the golden patterns on its body, making it appear dreamlike and beautiful.

"Ugh, why aren't they here yet? I should have known better than to get up so early." Bai Jie yawned and wandered around the entrance of Caiyun Village listlessly.

Today is another filming day. The crew agreed to meet at the village entrance to head to the filming location, but it seems the three Pixiu have arrived early.

"If you're feeling restless, come and sleep on my back for a while," Tianlu said caringly as he moved closer to Baijie.

Upon hearing this, Bai Jie shook his head, "No need, it will be fine in a while."

Suddenly, a gust of cold wind blew by, and Bai Jie shivered violently, his previously hazy consciousness becoming much clearer.

Following the direction from which the yin wind was blowing, Bai Jie turned his head and saw Di Ting walking over with a bunch of ghost assistants.

"Huh? A mythical beast I've never heard of." When Bai Jie saw Di Ting, Di Ting also saw Bai Jie. He looked at the golden Pixiu in surprise. As Di Ting, who was famous for knowing everything, there was actually a mythical beast in the world that he did not know about.

"Ask the earth." When in doubt, ask your mother. Di Ting decisively lay down on the ground.

"Hey!" Bai Jie was genuinely taken aback by Di Ting's sudden action, but then he realized that Di Ting had probably gone to find the Earth again.

Even though he knew what Di Ting was doing, Bai Jie couldn't help but say, "Isn't it unnecessary to perform such a grand ceremony on our first meeting?"

The ghost assistants covered their faces: Lord Di Ting, please mind your image!

"Oh, I see." After communicating with the earth, Di Ting stood up.

"Um, what did the Earth say to you?" Bai Jie asked, full of curiosity.

"It's nothing, Dadi only told you your basic information."

"Did she say why she created me?" Bai Jie pressed.

“Uh… she didn’t say.” Di Ting spread his paws.

"Ah...!" Bai Jie let out a disappointed "ah," he had thought he could get some clues about his time travel from Di Ting.

"Boss, second-in-command, third-in-command!" The sudden voice startled Bai Jie. He turned his head and saw Yue Tian running over at some point.

"Why are you here?" Bixie asked, pressing down on Yuetian, equally bewildered.

"Hehe, because Sister September said you guys are here."

"Sister September?!" x2

Both Bai Jie and Tian Lu had question marks appearing above their heads.

"Ahem, I'm here."

The three Pixiu looked up at the sound. Their attention had been on Yue Tian until now, when they realized that Jiu Yue was standing behind them.

"Why did you bring him here in September?" Tianlu said, pointing at Yue Tian with dissatisfaction.

"I had no choice, he insisted on coming along." September looked helpless. When Yue Tian recognized him last night, he thought he was doomed. But he didn't expect that this guy would not only not be angry with him for the Pixiu, but also inquire about the situation of the three Pixiu. It wasn't until he asked September that he understood that this guy had actually recognized Bixie as the leader.

"What are you talking about?" Puss in Boots' voice came from not far away.

All the beasts looked over at the same time and saw Puss in Boots Xiaohang leading a large group of crew members and extras toward them.

“We were just discussing what to do with this extra beast,” Bai Jie said, pulling Yue Tian over.

"Oh, it's you." Puss in Boots glanced at Moonlight and recognized him.

"Director, do you know him?" Bai Jie asked in surprise.

“I know him. When I first came to this village, many beasts warned me to be careful of this guy.”

"Ah, this..." Bai Jie opened his mouth, not knowing what to say.

"So what exactly did you do in the village?" Bai Jie couldn't help but ask Yue Tian.

"Cough cough, there are too many to remember," Yue Tian said with a dry cough.

Bai Jie's lips twitched as he retorted, "You really are a talent, oh no, a beastly talent."

"Hehe, Third Master, you flatter me." Yue Tian scratched his head sheepishly.

Bai Jie: I wasn't praising you, you know!

"Alright, alright, he's already come along, so let's take him along. We won't miss his mouth." Seeing that Bai Jie was about to continue chatting with Yue Tian, Puss in Boots quickly interrupted: Now that everyone's here, if we don't leave soon, it'll delay the filming schedule.

"Yay! Boss, I can go to the film set with you guys!" Yue Tian cheered as she looked at Bi Xie.

Bixie's expressionless face (JPG): Taking care of two younger brothers isn't enough, now there's another one to watch over.

After Yue Tian was allowed to join the film crew, the group of beasts set off for the filming location. Soon, they arrived at a deer-man shop on a mountainside.

This shop wasn't originally on the mountain; it was actually built by someone hired by Puss in Boots. To be honest, it was very expensive. But after it was built, besides taking photos, you can also rest inside in your spare time. Having a shelter from the wind and rain in the deep mountains is quite nice. So, it shouldn't be a bad deal, right?

After the crew of animals arrived at the location, a group of staff members set up the venue, while Puss in Boots led Tianlu Jiuyue and the extras to rehearse in advance.

With the Four-Unlikes gone, the task of demonstrating how to pet a Pixiu naturally fell to September.

"I'm warning you, I only let you touch me for filming. If anyone dares to get out of line, I'll eat them up!" Tianlu bared his teeth and brandished a fierce expression, but it had no deterrent effect whatsoever.

"Stop messing around, Pipi, it's about to start," Puss in Boots shouted from the sidelines.

"Hmph!" Tianlu snorted and glared at the extras before finally settling down.

"Alright, 3, 2, 1, Action!"

"Then, let me demonstrate the correct way to pet a Pixiu." September said, reaching out her devilish claws to Tianlu.

The rest of the story unfolded exactly as scripted, but a small mishap occurred during the final scene.

"Ouch! Haven't you touched me enough? Get away!" Tianlu couldn't stand it for more than two seconds before he got angry: These bastards are really daring! Don't I, the Pixiu, have any dignity?!

Off-screen, Bai Jie watched Tian Lu grinning at the extras, silently thinking to himself: Tian Lu seems to have been molested.

"Hey! Pippi, calm down, let's try again." Puss in Boots wiped her sweat; she knew there would be problems filming this part.

Under the director's persuasion, Tianlu reluctantly continued to reshoot, but each time he was still touched so much that he got angry. Finally, just before Tianlu could no longer stand it and started to hit back, the extras finally knew when to stop.

Time passed, and after the Four-Unlikes and Rabbit God arrived, the crew's filming for the day officially began.

Outside the Deer Man store, a group of small animals were noisily lining up at the door, their expressions a mixture of excitement and anticipation, as if something good was about to happen.

At the very front of the line of beasts, a conspicuous gold sign was displayed, with the words "Wealth-Bringing Pixiu, Five Yuan for Touching" written in bold, large characters.

Suddenly, Tianlu's voice, filled with shock and anger, rang out from inside the Deer Man shop: "Hey?! Wait! What's going on?! What are you trying to do?!!"

The view shifted to a spot out of the camera's view, where Bai Jie and Bi Xie were watching the filming together, while Yue Tian filled the empty spot for the Three Beasts Group.

"Hey, look! They're charging in!" Yue Tian shouted, pointing at the horde of beasts surging into the deer-man shop.

“I saw it, you don’t need to tell me,” Bai Jie replied casually, her eyes glued to the filming location.

The two beasts had barely exchanged a few words when Puss in Boots' shout rang out from the arena, followed immediately by Tianlu's furious roar: "Bastards! I'm going to eat you all!"

"Run! The Pixiu has gone mad!"

"Don't eat me! Look how plump that rabbit is, go chase after it!"

"Help!"

Amidst the chaotic noise, the herd of beasts rushed out of the deer-man's shop and scattered in all directions, with Tianlu, furious, right behind them.

"What? What happened?" Yue Tian was completely bewildered.

"Hmm...maybe I ran into a pervert," Bai Jie said seriously.

"Huh?" Yue Tian asked with a question mark face.

"Bai Jie, you stay put. I'm going to check on Tian Lu." Bi Xie glanced at Tian Lu, who was chasing after the beasts, then turned back to give him a word before running off.

Watching Bixie run away, Baijie blinked: Do I look like the kind of beast that would cause trouble? I'm obviously very well-behaved, okay?

"Hey, Third Master." Yue Tian poked Bai Jie.

"What?" Bai Jie turned around.

"What drama are you filming? I'd like to see it," Yue Tian asked curiously.

"The movie is called 'There Are Beasts,' and it's not available yet, but I can give you some inside information: the director plans to release it during the Chinese New Year."

Is it really okay for you to tell this kind of thing to outsiders?

The sudden interruption startled Bai Jie. He turned around and realized that Jiu Yue had somehow appeared behind him.

"So what if I said it? What's the big deal? I'm the sugar daddy anyway."

"Uh..." September's lips twitched: I'm so envious of you rich and willful beasts.

"So, what brings you here?" Bai Jie tilted his head in confusion.

"Ah, well..." September rubbed her hands together, her eyes shining. "Can I touch you?"

"Huh?" Bai Jie was confused. "Didn't you touch Tianlu's before?"

"Ahem, two are always better than one, right? I can pay for it." September said shamelessly, while thinking to herself: If it weren't for the red one looking unapproachable, I would have petted it too.

"Uh... okay then." Bai Jie thought about it and decided that he wouldn't lose out anyway, so he agreed.

"Let's begin." September casually took out five yuan and put it aside before picking up Bai Jie.

Bai Jie was speechless: Don't bring the prices from the script into this! Am I really that worthless?!

September was obviously unaware that Bai Jie was internally ranting about her, but even if she did, she probably wouldn't care.

"Smell—ah, it smells so good!"

“Hey…” Bai Jie used one paw to press against September’s face, “I don’t think I agreed to let you suck it.”

"Don't worry about the details." September pried open Bai Jie's claws and continued to bury her head in absorbing the Pixiu.

Bai Jie was even more speechless: Why does it feel like I've lost out? Oh well, it's not that bad.

A little while later, just as September was enjoying her massage, the two of them were suddenly surrounded.

"There's a Pixiu here too!"

"It looks like you can touch it."

"Look at him, he seems to be enjoying being touched, so he probably doesn't mind being touched, right?"

Bai Jie looked up in bewilderment at the horde of beasts surrounding him, a bad feeling creeping into his heart: I seem to have... dug myself a huge hole!

The next second, a pitiful cry of "Aaaaaah! Help!" came from the encirclement of the beasts, a tragic cry of a beast powerless to resist.

As for where September and Moon Sky went, they ran away long ago when they sensed something was wrong, since these beasts weren't targeting them.
