Qin Cang didn't answer immediately. He stared at the note in his hand, a sense of alarm building within him. Something exposed so directly to his view wasn't always a good sign. His fingers gently rubbed the edge of the note, tentatively feeling for any hidden needles or other traps.

After finding nothing unusual, he slowly unfolded the note, his eyes fixed on the handwriting on it. There were only a few lines of text written on the note, the handwriting was crooked, as if it had been hastily written before death.

Qin Cang's eyes quickly scanned the contents of the note, his brows gradually furrowed, and his eyes revealed a complex emotion: anger, vigilance, and a subtle hint of surprise.

Liu San leaned over to take a look, only to find the words were nearly obscured by sweat and blood, and he could only barely make out a few key phrases. "...Beware... Traps... Do not trust... Target..."

"What does this mean?" Xiaohu was puzzled. "Who left this behind? Was it the enemy? Or was it someone else..."

"Stop guessing." Qin Cang folded the note and stuffed it into his pocket, his eyes darkening as he said, "We don't have time to verify this right now. Just remember one thing: this area is more dangerous than we imagined. Any situation could be a trap set by the enemy."

Liu San opened his mouth and wanted to say something, but Qin Cang raised his hand to interrupt him: "No need to discuss, just keep going."

"But, Captain Qin, you're already very tired, your feet..."

"You two are talking too much nonsense." Qin Cang's tone was cold and stern, and a cold light flashed in his eyes. "I can still leave, and I must leave. Now is not the time to hesitate."

Xiao Hu and Liu San exchanged a glance. Although they were still a little worried, they both nodded silently. They knew that Qin Cang had already entered a state that no one could change. He must have his own plans in mind.

As they continued forward, the atmosphere grew increasingly oppressive. The wind in the woods rustled through the leaves, creating a low, invisible murmur. Qin Cang walked in front, occasionally pausing to survey his surroundings. His ears echoed with the sound of his own footsteps and the faint thump of his heartbeat.

"What does the note mean? Is it a warning from the enemy, or a request for help from another force?" His mind raced with thoughts, but his face remained silent. He knew that now he had to focus on the situation, not indulge in speculation.

Liu San muttered quietly in the back, "This place is so weird. The appearance of the corpse is not right. Captain Qin, is this really the direction of our target?"

Qin Cang didn't look back, but said coldly: "The direction is correct. If we give up the pursuit, the enemy will take advantage of this environment to counterattack, and we will die faster."

"But that note..." Xiao Hu couldn't help but speak, but was stopped by Qin Cang's eyes. He closed his mouth, lowered his head and continued to move forward, but the uneasiness in his heart became more and more intense.

They walked silently, time seemed to stretch out, and the air around them was filled with a suffocating tension. Suddenly, Qin Cang in front stopped and raised his hand to signal everyone to squat.

"There are people ahead." Qin Cang said in a low voice, with a chill in his tone, "Xiao Hu, Liu San, hide."

Xiaohu and Liu San quickly lay down, hiding behind a bush. Their breathing almost stopped, their eyes fixed on Qin Cang's back. They both knew that Qin Cang must be silently calculating his next move at this moment, and they could only wait for orders.

Qin Cang held his breath, his gaze piercing through the shadows of the trees as he spotted several enemies not far away. They were patrolling cautiously, their weapons on alert at all times, clearly searching for their target.

"There are only three of them. They can't be the main force." Qin Cang quickly analyzed the situation in his mind. He slowly raised his hand and pointed the gun at one of them, but he didn't pull the trigger immediately. He was waiting, waiting for a better opportunity, a moment to strike the enemy with one blow.

The air was filled with a dangerous atmosphere. Time seemed to stand still at this moment, but Qin Cang's heart had never been so clear. He knew that this decision would directly affect their ability to escape safely.

Qin Cang's hands were steady as a rock, his eyes sharp as an eagle's. He held his breath, his gaze following the movements of the three enemies. Their positioning wasn't ideal; a single shot that killed one would instantly alert the others. Qin Cang's mind raced. The enemies were clearly well-trained, but their movements betrayed a hint of laxity, suggesting they hadn't detected the true threat.

"Time is running out. We can't let them leave their patrol area." He thought to himself, then lowered his voice and said to Liu San and Xiao Hu behind him, "Xiao Hu, go around to their side, find cover and wait for an opportunity to act. Liu San, stay where you are, cover Xiao Hu, and be ready to open fire at any time."

Xiaohu nodded slightly and, like a nimble civet cat, slithered through the brush. His movements were so light that the fallen leaves and hay clung to him, making almost no sound. Liu Sanze held his gun, his eyes fixed on the enemy. His face was tense, and he didn't even dare wipe the sweat from his forehead.

Qin Cang remained motionless, his eyes fixed on every detail of his enemy. His heartbeat pounded in his ears, yet he remained remarkably calm. The three enemies' steps gradually approached each other. Though their coordination seemed casual, their actual spacing was incredibly precise. Qin Cang knew that behind this training lay a wealth of experience and deadly murderous intent.

"If we fail, we'll be surrounded and killed here." He felt a surge of pressure in his heart, but this pressure made his thoughts clearer. He glanced at Xiaohu's position out of the corner of his eye and found that the guy had successfully circled the enemy's flank, and a thick tree provided him with natural cover.

"Xiao Hu, get ready." Qin Cang said in a very low voice, his voice was like a breeze, and it could be swallowed up by the rustling of leaves at any time.

"Roger that." Xiaohu's response was as low as it could be, yet it was filled with a tense fighting spirit. He raised his gun and pointed it at one of the patrolling enemies, holding his breath, waiting for the signal.

Qin Cang took a deep breath, his gaze roaming over the enemy, searching for the best point to strike. His finger rested lightly on the trigger, like a venomous snake poised to strike, ready to bite its prey. However, the enemy suddenly stopped, and one of them tilted his head and whispered something, as if he had noticed something was amiss.

Oh no! Qin Cang's heart tightened, and then he shouted in a low voice: "Do it!"
