Ultra: Dragon Sword Journey

Chapter 23: Underground Monster Gadi

There have been no unusual incidents recently, so the Victory team members started taking turns to rest. Dagu and Lina made an appointment to go to the amusement park, and Xincheng was also pulled out by her sister Mayumi.

The amusement park was bustling with activity. Daiko and Lina walked in front, while Shinjo and Mayumi followed behind. As they walked, they admired the surrounding scenery and laughed happily.

Zhao Ming and Maya were enjoying a happy time together at the amusement park when they suddenly met Daiko, Lina, Shinjo, and Mayumi. Mayumi suggested that they go explore the horror house together, and everyone agreed.

The moment they stepped into the horror house, a gloomy atmosphere surged over them like a tidal wave. The terrifying sound effects, like the roar of evil spirits from the depths of hell, instantly gripped Xincheng's heart with fear. He clutched Dagu's arm tightly as if it were a lifeline, his eyes closed like two tightly closed city gates, and he kept muttering, "I'm so scared, I want to get out!"

Mayumi laughed at his cowardice. Zhao Ming and Maya were like two steady mountains. They comforted Xincheng softly while walking forward cautiously. Suddenly, a terrifying figure flashed past them like a ghost, and Xincheng screamed like the wail of a night owl throughout the haunted house. Dagu and Lina were also frightened and trembled all over, but they quickly regained their composure. Only Xincheng was scared and sat on the ground, shouting, "It's so scary, it's so scary...", as if his soul had been completely devoured by fear. In the end, Xincheng turned around and fled the haunted house like a frightened rabbit.

After a while, everyone gradually arrived at the neatly arranged rows of seats in the amusement park. Shinjo plopped down on one of them with a gloomy expression on his face. His eyes were strangely fixed on his sister, who stood before him, constantly mocking him. He felt as if his very dignity had been profoundly insulted.

He was a pilot who fearlessly piloted the Swallow, battling ferocious monsters! Yet, today, he had stumbled horribly in a haunted house. He was filled with remorse and vowed to himself: Never again would I try such a shameful ride, or I would be too embarrassed to appear before people again.

"Hahaha, the Xincheng team members are too timid! They were scared to death by an ordinary dummy!" Lina laughed so hard that she fell backwards, shouting mercilessly.

"Okay, okay, stop making fun of him. After all, everyone has something they fear in their hearts." Dagu quickly stood up to speak up for Xincheng and tried to calm the farce.

"You are just laughing at me so unscrupulously? This is really too much!" Xincheng stared at his sister who was still laughing at him mercilessly, and shouted indignantly.

"Who told you to act so miserable just now? Not only were you frightened and panicked, but you also kept shouting 'It's scary'." Mayumi not only did not restrain her smile, but laughed even harder. She even laughed and danced to imitate Shinjo's terrified look at that time. "You are a member of the Victory Team, but you have really brought shame to our Victory Team!"

Seeing his sister's words becoming more and more outrageous, Xincheng was furious. He rolled up his sleeves and was about to reach out to grab her so that she would remember what it meant to respect her brothers. But the little girl was very clever and dodged Xincheng's outstretched hand with a slight move.

"What do you care? My entire day's vacation is ruined. And how can you hit someone like that and still want your brother to take you to the amusement park?" Xincheng was a little fed up with his sister today and kept complaining.

"Why do you say that? You don't have a girlfriend. You just stay at home and sleep all day during the holidays. You are my elder brother, and I felt sorry for you. That's why I asked you to come out and play. You should thank me." Mayumi immediately retorted without any hesitation, and the brother and sister continued to love and hate each other.

Maya and Zhao Ming, who had just finished buying ice cream, walked over and piqued Mayumi's interest. "Xincheng, last time you argued with Horii about girlfriends, how come you don't have a girlfriend, even though you have a handsome face?" Zhao Ming delivered a fatal finishing blow.

Xincheng scratched his head and said a little embarrassedly: "Actually... I don't know. Maybe I'm too busy with work and don't have time for love."

Xincheng said helplessly, but in his heart he was thinking: I also want to find a girlfriend, but it’s not that easy... (By the time Dijing was with Dyna, he already had two children, but Xincheng was still single)

A noise from the front interrupted their conversation. Following the sound, they discovered a giant unicorn suddenly emerged from a patch of grass in the amusement park and stood there.

A flash of light suddenly flashed from the monster's horn, emerging from the ground in the distance, like a meteor streaking across the sky. Then, a pale yellow beam erupted from its tip, rising into the sky like a brilliant rainbow. The egg-yolk-like light burst into life in the air like fireworks, radiating outward. Finally, they transformed into a transparent energy barrier, like a giant, inverted bowl, enveloping the entire amusement park.

Those trying to escape were thrown into the air like headless flies, then fell to the ground in dismay. Zhao Ming witnessed this scene and instantly realized that this was the monster hidden underground, Gadi. Xincheng acted decisively, quickly pulling out his PDI and calling headquarters to urgently report the situation and request support. Upon receiving the news, Zongfang and Horii quickly set off in their fighter jets.

Time was running out and there was no time to waste. Zhao Ming moved quickly through the amusement park and finally found a secluded and deserted place.

He paused, took a deep breath, and then raised his right hand. A ball of orange-red fire slowly formed in his palm. Like a rising sun, the fireball burned fiercely, emitting a fiery aura that seemed to ignite the surrounding air.

Zhao Ming stared at the fireball and said softly, "Thunder explosion!" Before he finished speaking, he used all his strength to throw the fireball in his hand out fiercely.

The fireball, like an arrow shot from a bow, like a blazing meteor, streaked across the sky, hurtling towards the energy barrier created by Gadi with the force of thunder. In the blink of an eye, the fireball collided with the energy barrier with a resounding, earth-shattering roar.

The powerful impact force generated by this collision was like a raging storm, causing the originally indestructible energy barrier to begin to tremble violently, and the light on it flickered, sometimes bright and sometimes dim.

Then, a blinding flash of light suddenly flashed, like the brightest fireworks in the night sky. Along with this light, a huge channel was blasted through the energy barrier.

Seeing this, Zhao Ming gave orders to Dagu and Xincheng through the communicator without hesitation: "Quick! Evacuate the crowd immediately. Before the monster can attack, let everyone escape through this passage!"

After receiving the order, Dagu and Xincheng did not dare to delay for a moment. They acted quickly and rushed towards the panicked and fleeing crowd. While shouting loudly, they worked hard to guide people to evacuate the scene in an orderly manner.

However, when most people were fleeing nervously and hurriedly, there were a few naughty and ignorant children who refused to leave and stayed to play and frolic at the place where the giant horn appeared.

Suddenly, Gadi's thick, powerful, and slimy tentacles burst out of the ground and reached out to the disobedient children at lightning speed. In the blink of an eye, the poor little guys were tightly grasped by Gadi's tentacles and quickly dragged deep into the ground.

Seeing its prey dwindling, it let out a deep roar. Then, Gadi suddenly emerged from the ground, causing the earth to shake. A massive creature emerged, with a sharp horn and two powerful claws centered on long tentacles. Gadi's body was completely exposed to everyone.

Zhao Ming's eyes fixed, and he suddenly drew the mysteriously gleaming Dragon-Slaying Sword from his waist and shouted, "Dragon-Slaying Transformation!" Instantly, a powerful force erupted from the sword. Accompanied by a dragon's roar that resounded through the heavens, a dazzling flash of light appeared, and the normally sized Dragon-Slaying Sword suddenly expanded dramatically, transforming into an immensely gigantic form in the blink of an eye. This was the enlarged form of Dragon Sword Dao!

Without hesitation, Long Jiandao raised the gleaming Dragon-Slaying Sword in his hand and charged towards Gadi with the force of a thunderbolt. The blade traced a sharp arc through the air, and with two crisp "cracks," Gadi's two long tentacles snapped, blood splattering everywhere. However, Long Jiandao's attack didn't stop there. With a flash of his body, he appeared before the monster Gadi like a ghost. At this moment, the Dragon-Slaying Sword in his hand flashed with a chilling, cold light that seemed to rip through the very void.

In a flash, Long Jiandao swung his mighty sword once more. Two more flashes of cold light flashed, and Gadi's two massive hands were severed in an instant. Gadi let out a heart-wrenching roar of agony, his entire massive body trembling violently in the excruciating pain. But Long Jiandao clearly wouldn't give Gadi any respite. He gripped the Dragon-Slaying Sword tightly in both hands, unleashing a masterful set of swordsmanship, engaging Gadi in a thrilling close-quarters combat.

Long Jiandao's movements were agile and swift, each swing of his sword carrying overwhelming momentum and unstoppable force. His strikes were incredibly precise, landing unerringly on Gadi's vital points, sending Gadi reeling back, unable to defend. Though Gadi desperately tried to counter with destructive beams from its horns, its clumsy, charged attacks paled in comparison to Long Jiandao's, either easily dodged or abruptly blocked by his sword. Then, leaping up and delivering a powerful blow, it severed its horns.

At this moment, the Dragon Sword Path was like a raging storm, and the Dragon-Striking Sword in his hand became the master of this storm. His sword skills were like a torrential downpour, uninterrupted and unstoppable, leaving Gadi no room for a fight. Under such a fierce attack, Gadi could only retreat step by step.

Long Jiandao's figure darted past like lightning, appearing in front of the ferocious monster like a ghost in an instant. His right arm muscles tensed, his fist clenched tightly, as if concentrating all his strength into this single blow. With a furious roar, his immense power suddenly erupted, forming a dazzling ball of light from his fist.

The next moment, he swung his right arm without hesitation, and the powerful, heavy punch roared out like a wild horse, bringing with it a gust of extremely fierce wind. Even before the fist arrived, the terrifying momentum contained in it made the surrounding air tremble. When the punch firmly struck the monster's massive body, a loud "bang" was heard, as if the entire world trembled.

The power of Ultra's Penetrating Fist was truly astonishing. With a single strike, it easily pierced the monster's impenetrable frame. The severely wounded monster let out a piercing roar, twisting its body desperately in an attempt to escape the fatal blow and launch a counterattack. However, how could Dragon Sword Dao give it such a chance?

While the monster was still struggling, Long Jiandao suddenly exerted force with his feet, and his entire body shot up into the sky like a rocket. In the air, he tightly grasped the sword that emitted a cold light with both hands, and his body spun like the wind, diving down towards the monster at a speed as fast as lightning and thunder.

When the distance between Long Jiandao and the monster was within a few inches, the blade in his hand suddenly shot out a dazzling light, like a meteor streaking through the night sky, slicing straight into the monster's body. With a chilling slicing sound, the monster's huge body was actually split in two!

The two halves of the monster collapsed with a thunderous thud, slamming heavily onto the ground, sending up a cloud of dust that obscured the sky. The immense force of the impact caused the earth to shake violently, as if a terrible earthquake had struck. When the dust settled, the monster's bloody remains lay strewn across the ground, a horrifying sight.

After completing this series of earth-shattering attacks, Long Jiandao landed lightly on the ground. As soon as his feet touched the ground, he stood firmly, motionless. His eyes revealed an unwavering faith and the joy of defeating a powerful enemy.

The terrified people around them, upon seeing this scene, burst into joy. They danced with excitement, chanting Long Jiandao's name non-stop, their faces filled with admiration and praise for the hero. At this moment, everyone felt immensely proud of Long Jiandao's heroic performance.

Long Jiandao himself stood quietly, his head tilted back, basking in the crowd's cheers. He closed his eyes, savoring this hard-earned victory, his heart filled with joy and satisfaction.

Seeing the Victory Team's fighter jets descending like steel eagles to rescue the crowd not far away, Long Jiandao nodded slightly and vanished like a meteor. The Victory Team members looked at Gadina's bisected body and couldn't help but sigh. Like Tiga, magic users have recently become increasingly violent. While their methods of dealing with monsters may be brutal and ruthless, deep within them, a trickle of kindness still flows.

Dagu gazed thoughtfully at Gadi's plight. He knew he needed to work harder on his combat skills, especially his ability to dismember monsters with beams of light, and he humbly sought guidance from others. The members of the Victory Team busily cleaned up the aftermath, successfully rescuing several children trapped in a cave by a monster. Dagu, Lina, and Xincheng's vacation came to a complete end. Zhao Ming and Maya continued their stroll through the amusement park, like a sweet couple. Later, they boarded the Ferris wheel together, enjoying a romantic journey for just two.
