Ultra: Dragon Sword Journey

Chapter 22 Dagu's Childhood White Moonlight

The next morning, sunlight streamed through the window into the Victory Team's headquarters. Captain Iruma Kei sat at his desk, a document in his hand and a sly smile on his face.

The members of the Victory Team walked into the command room one after another. When they saw Captain Iruma Kei's expression, they couldn't help but feel an ominous premonition in their hearts.

"Captain, our report..." Dagu asked tentatively.

Captain Iruma Hui raised his head, looked at the team members, and said slowly: "Oh, the report, I forgot to write it."

The team members were stunned when they heard this. They had thought the captain had already written the report, but they didn't expect him to deliberately forget it.

"Captain, what should we do? We have to submit a report today." Xincheng said anxiously.

Captain Iruma Hui smiled and said, "It's okay, just rewrite it."

The team members sighed helplessly and started writing their reports again. As they wrote, they complained about the captain's "prank".

While the team members were busy writing their reports, Captain Iruma Hui quietly left the command room. She went to a quiet place, took out a document, and began to read.

At a construction site, a sphere was unearthed thirty meters underground. Decades ago, the area was once an ocean, and they were unable to determine its origins. They reported the discovery to the Victory Team headquarters early that morning.

When the members of the Victory Team finally finished their busy tasks, the team leader, Ikuma Kei, looked at Daigu and Lina with a serious expression and gave orders in a serious tone: "Dagu, Lina, you two go immediately and conduct a detailed scan of the mysterious spherical object. If the situation is complicated, bring it back to the base first"!

After receiving the order, the two men did not hesitate at all and quickly got into the Sherlock car parked at the entrance of the underwater tunnel. With the low and powerful roar of the engine, the vehicle rushed towards the target like an arrow.

Dagu, sitting in the passenger seat, stared at the instrument screen in his hand intently, his fingers nimbly operating various buttons and knobs, muttering to himself: "Okay, the PDI scanning program has been successfully installed. When we get to the site, Lina, you will be responsible for the testing." As he spoke, he raised his head and looked at Lina beside him.

However, Lina seemed to be lacking interest at the moment. She hung her head listlessly and muttered, "Talking about work while driving is so boring!"

Hearing this, Dagu couldn't help but be slightly stunned, but then he regained his usual straightforward appearance and continued to respond seriously: "This is not a drive, Lina, we are now carrying out an important mission"!

After hearing this, Lina's dissatisfaction became stronger. She rolled her eyes in annoyance and couldn't help complaining: "It's really boring to carry out missions with you! Really, it's a rare opportunity to go out together in Sherlock's car, but all you think about is the mission"!

"Can't you be a little more romantic?" Lina turned her head away angrily and looked out the window. She thought of how Zhao Ming and Maya were always so sweet and affectionate, and how Dagu was just like a piece of wood, completely unable to understand a girl's mind!

As the scenery around them continued to advance, the two of them soon arrived at a construction site. Following the guidance of the construction site manager, they saw a strange spherical device standing upright in a triangular shape on a table.

"It looks like a time machine. What is this? Could it be metal from outer space?" Lina asked Dagu a series of questions after taking the instrument for a preliminary scan.

"I can't tell anything based on the refractive index of light, so I'll use an ultrasonic detector to check the internal structure." Dagu also used instruments to record the data of the sphere for secondary confirmation.

At this moment, both seemed to sense something and turned to see a girl in a black dress with a strange golden necklace on her chest. When she looked at the spherical device, she blew the instrument around her neck. A strange sound rang out, and the sphere trembled.

"It's moving!" Lina suddenly reminded

The girl suddenly screamed "Ah" and fainted. Dagu quickly walked over and helped her up. When he got closer and looked at the familiar necklace, Dagu felt that it looked familiar and seemed to remember where he had seen her before!

"Dagu, do you know this girl?" Lina said casually with sharp eyes.

"Of course, this is the white moonlight of Dagu's childhood," Zhao Ming's elusive figure appeared and suddenly made a sound. Of course, his presence is indispensable in such a Shura field.

Dagu was about to explain when Zhao Ming interrupted him: "Oh~ So this is what your childhood white moonlight looks like, she is really beautiful." He smiled maliciously as he injected some life magic into the girl's body.

After hearing this, Lina's jealousy erupted like a volcano. Her beautiful eyes glared at Dagu fiercely, as if about to burst into flames. Dagu, helpless, could only reach out and gently support his forehead, silently complaining, "Oh, Zhao Ming really knows how to pick the right time to cause trouble. He's always bringing up things that are not relevant to the topic!" The atmosphere became extremely awkward and tense, and the three of them remained frozen in place.

At that moment, the unconscious girl suddenly twitched her fingers slightly, then slowly opened her eyes, which had been closed for a long time. As her gaze gradually focused, finally landing on Dagu, a hint of surprise flashed across her eyes. Then, she couldn't help but blurt out, "Brother Dagu, is it really you?" This sudden cry startled everyone present.

Lina, in particular, lost her composure after hearing the words "Brother Dagu." Her expression darkened instantly, and she angrily shouted at Dagu, "Dagu, explain to me what's going on!" Facing Lina's questioning, Dagu hesitated at first, but then, as if determined, he took a deep breath and began to recount a distant past.

When Dagu was very young, he went out for a ride on his beloved bicycle. He was so engrossed in the fun that he found himself so far away from home. As the sun set and the sky darkened, Dagu couldn't find his way home. Just as he felt panic and helplessness, luck struck him: he stumbled upon this girl by the sea. She kindly showed the way home to the lost Dagu. Although they never met again, Dagu never forgot this kind sister. He never expected that they would meet again, many years later, in such a miraculous way!

After Dagu finished telling the story of the past, Lina's jealousy disappeared for the most part.

"I see...it's truly a wonderful fate," Lina said with a smile.

"That's not right. How could she be so youthful now, the person you met as a child?" Lina asked suspiciously.

"Lina, apart from those special people who possess the art of maintaining their youth, the only ones on Earth who can maintain their appearance for a long time are probably aliens. After all, their physiques are completely different from those of Earthlings," Zhao Ming explained.

"Yes, aliens. No!" Lina suddenly had an idea, and then looked at the girl in front of her nervously.

"Miss, please come out and explain," Zhao Ming looked at her.

"My name is Saki. I came to Earth a long, long time ago, but I have never been able to find the device that can send a signal to let me go home. So when I saw a report about it in the news, I rushed here without stopping," Saki said.

"I see," Daiko and Lina nodded in sudden realization. "Don't worry, we'll definitely help you get home," Daiko declared firmly. He quickly reported to Iruma Kei and brought the signaling device and Saki back to base.

After returning to the base, everyone immediately conducted a comprehensive examination of Saki, so as to distinguish the difference between alien life forms and earthlings. Then they tried various methods to open the device.

"I've even shot it with laser, but there's no trace on the surface. It looks like a lid. But I just can't open it!" On the screen, Jujing studied it for a long time but still couldn't figure it out.

"This is an alien communication device. I wonder if you can figure it out!" Zhao Ming said, looking at Iruma Kei. "Captain, I think we should find an open space and let Saki play with this device herself."

"I have reported this to Director Sawai. This is the first time we have dealt with alien life forms that have no hostility towards the Earth. I expect there will be results soon," Iruma Kei responded.

The next day, the Victory Team placed the signal device on a flat surface. As Saki played the instrument, the sphere slowly opened with a melodious sound, emitting a bright light that shot straight into the sky. It seemed to be signaling something, calling it over.

"The signal has been sent. Machina will be picking me up soon," Saki said cheerfully. "A massive meteorite is heading towards Earth. Significant life activity has been detected on it. It's expected to reach your coordinates in fifty minutes," Nori said over the comms.

Fifty minutes later, a fireball streaked across the sky and quickly fell down. After the light of a huge stone dissipated, a huge figure appeared in front of everyone.

"Is this Machina?" Dagu muttered to himself as he looked at the monster in front of him.

Makina's body is silver and covered with a hard shell. It has a pair of huge horns on its head and its eyes glow red.

Saki took a deep breath and once again placed her lips close to the delicate flute at her chest. A melodious, ethereal sound suddenly emanated, as if flowing slowly through a tunnel of time and space. With light steps, she approached Machi's massive form, step by step. With each step, the excitement and joy in her heart grew stronger.

"Makina!" Saki's voice was clear and melodious, a smile as bright as the warm spring sun breaking across her face. At that moment, the eyes of man and beast met, and where their gazes met, a thousand words seemed to flow. Time had flown by, centuries had passed since they'd been apart, but in this moment, all the longing and anticipation had melted into the joy of reunion.

Tears welled in the eyes of this young woman, centuries away from home, finally embarking on her journey home. Turning to face the crowd, she said affectionately, "Goodbye, everyone! Thank you for your help. Without you, I wouldn't have been able to fulfill this long-cherished wish." Then, her gaze rested on Dagu, and she softly uttered two words: "Goodbye."

Machina extended its two enormous paws and carefully placed them together, forming a stable platform. At the same moment, the flute on Saki's chest suddenly shone with a dazzling white light, like a beam of warm sunlight, instantly enveloping her entire body. Then, she was gently lifted up by the light and landed steadily on Machina's paws.

Machina raised his head to the sky and let out a deafening roar. Then, the hard shell behind him slowly closed, like a tightly closed door, tightly and seamlessly. Soon, Machina transformed into a giant egg, its surface smooth and round, without any flaws, looking almost flawless.

The giant egg slowly rose, gradually accelerating towards the sky. It flew higher and higher, becoming smaller and smaller, until it finally turned into a tiny dot and disappeared into the sky, speeding towards their distant homeland.

"Another touching story. That day you told me the way home, and today I'm protecting you from Earth and returning to your homeland, isn't that right, Dagu?" Zhao Ming said as he looked towards Dagu, who was still gazing at the horizon.

Dagu retracted his gaze and turned to look at Zhao Ming, a smile on his face: "Yes, she's home." His voice was full of emotion.

"Are you particularly reluctant to see your childhood sweetheart go?" "If you're really reluctant, why not transform into Tiga and catch up?" Zhao Ming said, looking at Dagu with a sly smile.

"Haha," Dagu laughed and shook his head. He knew it was just a joke.

After watching Machina bring Saki back home, the members of the Victory Team returned to the base and resumed their usual busy life.

Daiko and Ryukendo stood on the beach, the sea breeze blowing across their faces. Daiko raised his transformation device, and with a flash of light, he transformed into a human-sized Tiga.

Tiga and Long Jiandao exchanged a glance, then simultaneously released countless dazzling, colorful rays of light into the sea. The rays pierced through the water, illuminating the entire seabed and creating massive waves.

Tiga and Ryukendo continued to fire their beams, their target being a huge reef on the seabed. The beams hit the reef, making a huge explosion, and the reef was blown into countless small pieces.

After Dagu and Zhao Ming finished their light training, Tiga and Long Jiandao returned to their human forms. Dagu looked at the fish carcasses floating in the sea and began to enjoy their grilled fish feast. They sat by the sea, savoring the delicious grilled fish while admiring the beautiful sea view.

After Dagu and Zhao Ming had their fill, they lay contentedly on the beach, staring blankly at the sky. This was such a comfortable life, it was good that no monsters appeared!
