Traveling through Thailand

Chapter 8: Get a Pet

As I walked out of the coffee shop, I saw a petting zoo across the street. I stopped on my way to the station and headed to the Sriwi Petting Zoo when the light turned green.

"Welcome, how can I help you?"

"Do you have cats for sale?"

"This is a pet hospital, a place that specializes in treating cats and dogs, but if you want to keep a pet, I can recommend a few pet shops. Of course, if you don't have any breed requirements, I have a cat here that you can adopt. It was sent here by a kind-hearted person after a car accident. If you don't mind it being a local cat, you can go through the adoption procedures." After saying that, he took Xiao Yi to the treatment room.

Looking at the cat with several large pieces of stitched-up belly, although it looked seriously injured, Xiao Yi saw from its eyes its desire to survive.

"When it was first brought in, its internal organs were exposed to the air. I was worried several times that it wouldn't make it, but I didn't expect this little guy to pull through."

Xiao saw it trying to stand up, and its determined eyes strangely resonated with Sky's. They were both stubborn and unyielding, yet they were also extremely wary of everything around them. But when someone was recognized, they would reveal their vulnerable side and trust him wholeheartedly.

"This one will do. I'll come back and take it back when it's healed." He pulled out a black card and handed it over: "Top up."

The man took the black card and went to the cashier in a daze. The black bank card in his hand showed that this person was not simple.

"Fin, what are you daydreaming about? Oh my god, this is a black card!! Which big shot has descended here?"

Finn came to his senses and swiped his card successfully to top up before he came to his senses: "Oh my God! I actually recommended the local cat to a rich man!!!! Ah!!!"

"What? A country cat???" He immediately thought of the cat hanging in the treatment room: "You, you are awesome!"

Xiao Yi returned to the cashier and took the card: "I'll leave your contact information. Please call me when it can be discharged from the hospital."

"Ok."

After securing the cat, I was ready to go out when the clear sky was covered by dark clouds and then a heavy rain came down. The noisy barking of cats and dogs around me completely disappeared. The surroundings were so quiet that the only sound I could hear was the beating of my own heart.

I didn't hear the medical staff ask what name I was going to give the cat so that it could get used to this issue in advance.

After calling a few times without getting any response, they knew that the person in front of them must have suffered from sudden deafness.

Feeling someone poking him, Xiao turned around and saw words typed on his phone: Do you want to give the cat a name while you wait for the rain to stop?

Name? Xiao Yi took out his phone and found Sky's chat interface: I have an orange cat, what should I name it?

The next second, a reply came: Cat? Why did you decide to get a cat?! This apartment doesn’t allow animals!

It was then that Xiao Yi remembered that the apartment he rented didn't allow cats: "I forgot. But it's already booked. Why don't we move to another one, or I can buy it."

Sky saw the reply and said that the world of the rich is full of extravagance, and anything that can be solved with money is not a problem: If you want to raise a child, you might as well move back, which will be more convenient.

Xiao Yi frowned and refused, "That would require getting up half an hour earlier. I don't want to." "Sure enough, I'd better buy it. It's more convenient this way. I'll take care of this matter. Please help me think of a good name for the cat."

Sky looked speechlessly at the text message that unilaterally made the decision, put down the book in his hand and began to think about what name to choose.

After a few messages, the house purchase issue was temporarily resolved. The rain outside gradually subsided, showing signs of stopping. Before the rain stopped, Sky sent a text message: "My name is Shatangju."

Xiao Yi was puzzled as to why he had chosen such a name. He then asked, "I've recently become obsessed with tangerines."

Xiao Yi, who was not very good at naming, shrugged. "I understand. I'll bring back some tangerines. I'll also buy some apples and bananas." "Oh, I got it. Let's name the kitten Doubao. I just had it this morning. It was delicious."

After seeing the message, Sky only replied with six ellipsis.

Upon seeing the message, Xiao Yi headed to the fruit store in a cheerful mood. Needless to say, you could tell he was cursing profusely. After buying some fruit and taking photos, he brought a few photos of the bean buns with him: This is the new member we'll be joining. Are you happy? Are you surprised? Do you like it?

I know without even looking that the tone was definitely uttered in anger: If you have the guts, don’t ask me to help you raise it!!!

The next second, another heartbreaking message arrived: "Why are there so many long stitches on its body?" "Have you really decided to adopt it? That's great." "When will it be discharged from the hospital? I'll pick it up when that day comes."

I was replying to Sky's message while rushing back home. On the way, I received a message from a stranger on my phone. I clicked it and found it was a luxurious invitation. Needless to say, I knew who sent it.

Is this a sure thing that you will visit?

Lost in thought, Xiao Yimo rubbed his fingertips: Why would someone from both the black and white world come after me? If they were looking for someone, they should have gone to my dad.

After thinking about it, he felt that he couldn't bear this matter alone, so he called Xiao's father and asked, "Dad, do you know Parkin?"

"What's wrong with having heard of it?" Hearing his son mention this name, Xiao's father secretly perked up. After all, he knew exactly what he had done.

"His subordinate Cai personally invited me to meet with his boss tomorrow. I don't think this matter is something I, a freshman, should be involved in. How about you go and negotiate tomorrow?"

Hearing that his beloved son wanted to add more work for him, he said, "Ahem, your dad is not in Country T now. Why don't you take the trouble to go down and meet him?" As soon as Dad Xiao finished speaking, he wished he could turn back time and swallow back what he had said.

"Do you think your son is one of those college students with clear eyes?" Xiao Yi rolled his eyes. Three hours ago, he took a photo of himself accompanying his mother on her skincare routine, and now he's going abroad? Did he really think he didn't know how much time skincare takes? This was all thanks to that person who always complained to him about how much time skincare and beauty treatments took, complaining but always with a smug smile on his face.

"Ahem, that Yi Yi, dad is old, and now he wants to take your mom on a trip around the world. You've grown up, it's time for you to take over the business." Even if the truth was revealed, Xiao's father would pretend not to hear the disgust in his son's words.

Xiao Yizhi, who knew his father's temperament well, made a shocking revelation: "Was it your doing that he came to see me?"

"Well..."

"It seems I guessed it right."

"This... just listen to Dad covering it up for you, ah, explaining it. Dad is doing this so that you can take over the company as soon as possible, so that you won't be too busy when the time comes, right?"

His explanation is that if I believe what you say, I will follow you. No, I already have his last name. Ahem, if I believe what you say, I will take my mother's last name.

"The teacher has assigned a lot of homework these days, so I'm sorry to bother you with the backlog of papers." She hung up the phone before the other person burst into tears and walked into the apartment, carrying some fruit. She picked out some fruit for the apartment manager, Zhuo Yi, and listened to some gossip she had heard from others before heading to her room.
