The three men walked into the hallway, and there were no frenzied executioners at all.

On the way back to Gryffindor, Su Xingchen found a reason to leave the team. Hermione's absence made it easier for her to leave.

The vestibule. It was another snowy and windy vestibule.

Harry arrived a little later than Su Xingchen expected.

She trembled and spat at herself secretly. She was such a bad-mouthed person.

On this day last year, why did I think that it would be cold outside this year?

During the day, Harry whispered to her that he would give her a birthday present at the old place after dinner.

Because his age was a secret, he had been secretly giving her birthday presents for the past two years without telling anyone else, including Ron and Hermione. The crystal hairpin he gave her last year was still in her box.

Su Xingchen originally wanted to tell Harry to change the "transaction" location, such as Myrtle's bathroom, or the secret passage leading to Hogsmeade.

Although, this place with wind and snow is indeed the safest.

Because no fool would deliberately run out into the snow and ice to eat snow and drink wind!

Unfortunately, they were too late, as Ron came over and asked them to go to the Great Hall for dinner.

From afar, in the vestibule of Hogwarts Castle, a small black dot was jumping around in the white snow, muttering something.

If you lean over and listen carefully, it seems as if what is being said is: Next Christmas I must be in a warm house, warming myself by the fire, eating a delicious meal, and never freezing outside again.

And so it went on, over and over again, like a second Professor Trelawney.

"Sorry..." Harry hurried over.

Su Xingchen shook off the light snow on his body, and the two walked into the hallway. "What's wrong with you?"

Harry hesitated, "It's okay."

Although he tried his best to hide it, Su Xingchen could still see that he looked a little worried.

Well, she wasn't the type to ask too many questions.

"Where's the gift?" someone asked as a matter of course.

Harry lifted the invisibility cloak, and saw a cage covered by the cloak. He raised his arm and opened the cage door.

cage?!

Su Xingchen instinctively took two steps back. Although Harry knew she was timid and probably wouldn't give him anything scary, she was really scared of wizarding animals. What if something Harry thought was cute was actually scary? Just like Hagrid thought his scary animals were cute.

Such a small cage definitely doesn't hold an owl or a cat. Could it be a mouse or a toad?

No, no, Harry knew she didn't like Scabbers.

Su Xingchen prepared himself mentally and reached out his hand towards the cage tremblingly under Harry's expectant gaze, but stopped just when he was about to touch it.

In the dim light, the entire cage was pitch black and it was impossible to tell what was inside.

As if hearing the noise, the animals in the cage slowly poked their heads out.

A little fur ball with round eyes was sniffing around the edge of the cage door.

Huh? White and furry.

Su Xingchen took it out of the cage, and Sui Ran opened his eyes wide after seeing it clearly.

Is it a rabbit?

"I wrote to the Magical Creatures Shop, but I didn't expect it to still be there..."

As Harry finished speaking, the little white ball of fur in his palm suddenly turned into a hat.

Su Xingchen smiled. This little thing was afraid that he didn't recognize it.

"I know it's you. Change back quickly." Whether it was a coincidence or he really understood, the hat turned into a little white rabbit again and rubbed her palm affectionately.

Harry breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Su Xingchen smile.

She was reluctant to buy the magic rabbit at first, but it was clear that she liked it. She didn't know why, but a gift should always please the recipient.

"Strangely enough, it's been in the Magical Creatures Shop for half a year. Maybe..." Harry joked, "It's waiting for you."

Su Xingchen picked up the rabbit and held it in front of him. He scratched its chin with his index finger. It was soft and fluffy. "Are you waiting for me?"

The rabbit didn't speak. Rabbits can't speak.

It half-closed its eyes and enjoyed the massage of the fingers.

All right. Take it as an admission.

"You will be mine from now on." Su Xingchen hugged the rabbit and rubbed it against his cheek for a long time. The fur was so comfortable that it warmed his face a little which was cold from the wind and snow.

Because of her experiences, she never keeps any living things, including flowers and plants. In fact, it is just that she does not want to experience the feeling of loss again, not that she does not want to.

Now, because of the sudden "accident", she has her own comfort, which will accompany her. Unlike friends, it is a real 24-hour companion.

Therefore, she was filled with joy.

"I will take good care of you." Su Xingchen held the rabbit carefully in his arms with a gentle look on his face. It was different from the tenderness he had pretended to have in the past. It was a tenderness that was truly engraved in his heart.

After holding the rabbit and making sure it wouldn't fall, she looked up at the boy who had given her the gift and smiled brightly, "Thank you, Harry. I like it very much."

"As long as you like it." Harry liked looking at Su Xingchen's shining eyes, which were as bright as her name. "Happy birthday."

The two of them chatted leisurely as they walked back to the common room. Su Xingchen, holding the little white rabbit, "firmly" demanded a change of "trading location" next year. Harry openly waved the cage in his hand, listening to the girl's chatter with a smile.

Rather than a harsh complaint, it was more like a soft, coquettish grumble. It didn't feel threatening at all, even when she was saying it.

After entering the Gryffindor common room, Su Xingchen found that it was empty.

"Where are Ron and Hermione?" she asked curiously.

Harry's cheerful expression darkened. "He should be in the dormitory."

Going to bed so early? That doesn't suit their style.

"Then, I'll go back to the dormitory first?" Su Xingchen said.

Harry looked at her, hesitant as if he wanted to say something, but finally nodded and said, "Get some rest early."

Something's wrong? Su Xingchen thought as she walked up the spiral staircase back to the girls' dormitory. What could have gone wrong?

"I did that for his own good! What if there's some evil curse on it?" Hermione paced back and forth in the dormitory excitedly.

Su Xingchen was almost dizzy from her guessing. She sat on the edge of the bed like a fool, hugging her pillow, listening to her muttering about the serious consequences. It must be said that Hermione guessed it right.

But she didn't expect that Hermione actually told Professor McGonagall, and Professor McGonagall confiscated the Firebolt. No wonder Harry looked so unhappy at night.

She had no idea that the Firebolt had been confiscated; that didn't happen in the movie.

It cannot be said that Hermione was wrong. She did the same thing in her first year. Hermione was indeed thinking about Harry, and the Firebolt was indeed given by Black. It's just that he was unexpectedly a good person.

Su Xingchen admires Hermione very much for always being able to stay rational.
