HP Star Shining
Chapter 79
Hermione's eyes flashed with a gossipy glint. She leaned in and whispered, "What do you think of Cedric?"
"He..." It seemed that the ambiguous words still had an impact, "He is a very good friend."
Hermione's eyes widened, "Just very good friends?"
"What else?" Su Xingchen was confused.
"Nothing else?" Hermione still refused to give up.
"Is there...anything else...should there be?" His tone was filled with doubt.
Hermione saw that Su Xingchen's confused look did not seem fake. "I mean..." She lowered her voice even more. "Do you think it's possible that he likes you?"
The air was silent for a moment.
"No." Su Xingchen's answer was as firm as if he was going to join the party.
Hermione wondered, "How can you be so sure?"
Because she knew who Cedric liked.
Admittedly, he was startled by Hermione's sudden words and had such doubts for a moment, but Su Xingchen quickly calmed down.
This was her third year at Hogwarts, and the fact that she had never met Qiu Zhang before had happened last night spoke volumes.
Or, a reminder?
After figuring it out, she put her hands on the back of her head to make herself more comfortable, "Anyway, he has a girl he likes, and it's not me."
I have to say, Cedric is a really nice person.
Fortunately, she had no thoughts of falling in love. The so-called girlish thoughts seemed to have never existed in her, either in the past or now.
Is it possible that she is destined to be alone?
"Okay." Hermione pouted.
Su Xingchen did not intend to tell Hermione that Cedric liked Qiu. She did not intend to talk nonsense about other people's feelings.
Not knowing what she was thinking about, Hermione began to stammer.
"By the way, Xingchen, I want to ask... do you know... that... me... that..."
Seeing that she looked constipated, Su Xingchen wondered if she had discovered that she knew about the time machine.
It's no wonder Hermione was suspicious. She had helped to make amends in front of Harry and Ron many times, so it was normal for her to notice something.
So he nodded.
Hermione's eyes widened even more than before, and she almost screamed out loud, but luckily she controlled her voice in time, "How did you know?"
"Guessed." Well, that's all I can say.
Hermione seemed a little uneasy. "I don't mean to hide it from you, but Professor McGonagall said it's best not to let anyone..."
"I know." Su Xingchen smiled and rested his head on Hermione's shoulder. It turned out to be more comfortable this way.
"Everyone has their own secrets. It's normal, don't feel sorry for it. If you want to tell us or can tell us, you will definitely tell us. If you don't, there must be a reason for it."
"Xingchen..." Hermione held her hand, tears welling up in her eyes.
"And..." Su Xingchen blinked mischievously, "I also have a secret, and I don't intend to tell you."
Hermione instantly became interested, drowning out her previous emotion. "What is it? Reveal a little... a little bit."
"No."
"About what?"
"I won't tell you." Su Xingchen smiled.
She has so many secrets.
The two of them laughed and played on the bed, and it seemed that even the cold wind outside the window was warmer.
For the next few days, the whole school had only one topic, and that was Sirius Black.
Su Xingchen was happy that almost no one teased her as "little darling" anymore, but she also felt very sympathetic towards Harry.
He was under strict surveillance, with professors finding excuses to accompany him through the long corridors, and Percy following him all the time.
Professor McGonagall wanted to stop his Quidditch training, but after Harry's insistence, Madam Hooch supervised their training instead.
As the first Quidditch match drew closer and the weather became worse, the Gryffindor team trained harder under the supervision of Ms. Hooch.
On a rare sunny Friday, Su Xingchen was basking in the sun alone in the front yard.
She covered her forehead with her hands and squinted her eyes, looking lazy and comfortable.
It’s good not to go to class.
It would have been more comfortable if she hadn't caught a glimpse of an angry figure approaching from the corner of her eye.
Pansy Parkinson came at her like a cannonball, yelling, "Star Sue!"
Su Xingchen was full of question marks on her face. Sister, what are you crazy about again?
She didn't like people calling her name like that, even though it was right. But she didn't like it.
"You don't have to act innocent. I'm not him. I won't be fooled by you!"
Su Xingchen continued to look puzzled. This girl was simply incomprehensible.
"That weed-like thing, and Draco even cast a 'Never Wither' spell on it. Goyle told me it was you who gave it to him..." Pansy glared at her hatefully.
Su Xingchen understood, but she didn't quite understand.
"You like Draco, right?"
"none of your business!"
"If you like him, you can go to him directly and tell him that you don't like him keeping the flowers and ask him to throw them away." Why would he go to an innocent passerby like her? Could she really be thrown away?
"Of course I went to see him. Do you think I didn't tell him? But he actually scolded me for meddling in other people's business." Pansy gritted her teeth when she thought about it.
This time Su Xingchen really understood. Does this mean that the confession failed?
I don't like you having other women's stuff, and if you like me too, then you will throw it away yourself.
She looked at Pansy inconspicuously. To be honest, this girl was really ugly, so it was normal that the rich young man didn't like her.
"It's all your fault! If it weren't for you..." Pansy was furious and raised her wand, "I'm going to teach you a lesson."
Su Xingchen was shocked.
No, what does it have to do with her if you failed to confess your feelings?
She quickly slapped Pansy's hand away with her left hand and quickly took out her wand from her robe pocket with her right hand.
Pansy stared in amazement as her wand fell to the ground and rolled to the side. She had never expected that this pretentious man would dare to fight back.
When she regained her sight, a magic wand was already right in front of her. Her pupils suddenly dilated.
"Did I give you some misconception? That's why you think you can bully me at will?" Su Xingchen's face was cold, and his voice was as icy as frost. "Let me remind you, I'm... just easy to talk to, not to bully."
The wand extended forward again, pointing at the tip of Parkinson's nose, "Pansy Parkinson, do you remember?"
Pansy's lips trembled a little, she couldn't speak, and nodded randomly.
This coward who seemed easy to bully seemed to have suddenly become a different person.
"Okay, now pick up your wand and go back to Slytherin." Su Xingchen lowered his arm, still holding the wand tightly in his hand.
Pansy cautiously took two steps back, picked up the wand on the ground and fled, glaring at her fiercely before running away.
