HP Star Shining
Chapter 67
In the second Transfiguration class after Divination class, everyone seemed listless.
"What's wrong with you?" Professor McGonagall, who had just transformed into a tabby cat in front of the whole class, suddenly changed back to her original form. "It's nothing, it's just that my transformation didn't win the applause of the classmates for the first time."
Su Xingchen tried hard to suppress the upturned corners of her mouth. What a proud little old lady.
The classmates all turned to look at Harry, and no one spoke.
Hermione raised her hand. "Professor, we just had a divination lesson on reading tea leaves, and the result was..."
"No need to say, Miss Granger." Professor McGonagall frowned, "Tell me who among you will die this year?"
Everyone looked at her in surprise, as if they didn't understand why Professor McGonagall could guess what happened in the Divination class.
"Me." Harry raised his hand.
"I see." Professor McGonagall stared at Harry with her sparkling eyes. "I think you should know, Potter. Since Professor Sybill Trelawney came to this school, she has predicted the death of a student every year. She likes to use the omen of death to welcome a new class. Of course, so far, no one in the prophecy has died."
Professor McGonagall paused, and everyone saw her face darken a little. Then she calmed down and continued, "Divination is the least rigorous branch of magic. To be honest, I have very little patience for it. True prophets are few and far between, and Professor Trelawney..."
Su Xingchen understood that divination was a magic that required great talent, not just hard work, and Professor Trelawney just didn't have this talent.
Professor McGonagall looked at Harry again. "You appear to be perfectly healthy, so I won't exempt you from your homework. Of course, if you were to die, you wouldn't have to hand in your homework either."
Everyone laughed.
Su Xingchen was a little surprised. She didn't expect that this arrogant old lady would tell such a joke, easily making everyone forget their fear.
Harry felt more relaxed. If Su Xingchen had resolved most of his worries before, then Professor McGonagall's words now completely relieved him.
It's hard to be scared by a pile of tea leaves once you're away from Professor Trelawney's classroom, with its hazy red light and numbing aroma.
However, not everyone was relieved, and Ron still looked worried.
After the Transfiguration class, everyone went to the auditorium to eat in a noisy manner.
"Ron, cheer up." Hermione pushed a plate of stew in front of him. "You heard what Professor McGonagall said."
Ron ladled the stew into his bowl with a large spoon and picked up his fork but didn't eat it.
"Harry," he whispered gravely, "you haven't seen a big black dog anywhere, have you?"
"Yes, I saw one the night I left the Dursleys'."
Ron's fork dropped with a clatter.
"Maybe it's a stray dog," Hermione said calmly.
Ron looked at Hermione as if she were crazy.
"Hermione, if Harry saw an omen, that would be terrible! My uncle Bill saw one and he died twenty-four hours later."
"Coincidence." Hermione poured herself a glass of pumpkin juice nonchalantly.
"You have no idea what you're talking about!" Ron fumed. "Most wizards would be terrified by the sight of something ominous!"
Ron and Hermione started arguing again, and Su Xingchen poked at the few pieces of stew on her plate in a daze, feeling worried... Missing Aqui's second day.
"Professor Trelawney said you don't have the right aura. You're just used to being stubborn and unwilling to fail at anything!"
Ron's words touched Hermione's sore spot.
She slammed the arithmetic divination textbook onto the table, and the splashing minced meat and juice scared Harry and Su Xingchen.
"If being good at Divination means I have to pretend I see death omens in a bunch of tea leaves, then I might as well not take it! Compared to my Arithmancy class, it's just garbage."
Hermione said as she grabbed her bag and stormed off.
Ron frowned and looked at her back. "What is she talking about? She hasn't even taken a Divination class yet."
Su Xingchen thought that Hermione had used the time-traveling device to travel through time and space to attend the other two classes at some point she didn't know about. She suddenly felt a little creepy and got goose bumps on her arms.
It's one thing to know, it's another to feel it when it actually happens.
No wonder she didn't want anyone to know. Even though she knew Hermione was just attending class and wouldn't do anything else, she still felt fear because of the unknown that she couldn't control.
Su Xingchen shook his head violently, saying that he couldn’t think about it. The more he thought about it, the more scared he became.
Harry and Ron looked at each other. Why were both girls acting weird today?
After lunch, the students happily came to the outside of the castle to attend their first magical creature protection class in their lives.
The morning rain had stopped, the sky was a very refreshing light gray, and the grass underfoot was wet and very springy underfoot.
The air was mixed with the scent of soil and grass. Su Xingchen took a deep breath of satisfaction. The reason she chose this class was because it was held outdoors. All classes that were not held in the classroom made her particularly happy.
And Hagrid's class certainly wouldn't be that stressful.
It must be mentioned that Hermione and Ron stopped talking to each other again. Harry and Su Xingchen followed them silently, as they had become accustomed to it.
It turned out that the two of them had the kind of noisy and bickering style of bickering lovers seen in movies and TV dramas, which Su Xingchen never expected.
Walking down the grass slope towards Hagrid's hut, when Harry saw the three heads in front of him that he was very familiar with, he realized that they would have to attend this class with Slytherin this semester.
He turned around and looked at Su Xingchen, who was really annoying.
Su Xingchen pretended not to see anything. She didn't see Harry looking at her, nor did she see the three people in front of her. It would have been better if her movements were not so stiff.
Hagrid was waiting at the door of his cabin in his moleskin coat, with Fang the hound standing at his feet.
The Slytherin and Gryffindor students stood on each side. When their eyes met, Su Xingchen waved and greeted Draco first, and then he turned his head away to talk to Goyle, pretending not to see her.
Good guy, Su Xingchen kept calling him good guy, it seems he is really angry.
"Come on, hurry up." Hagrid looked eager to get going. "I have a lesson for you today. It's going to be fantastic. Is everyone here? Let's go."
Harry thought Hagrid was going to take them into the Forbidden Forest, and he felt a panic in his heart. He had many unpleasant experiences in the Forbidden Forest that he would never forget.
Fortunately, they were only walking along the edge of the woods.
