HP Star Shining
Chapter 50
Harry went in, trembling all over.
This is a long, dimly lit room. Each stone pillar is carved with a coiled and entangled giant snake, towering and supporting a ceiling that melts into the darkness. The entire room, which is filled with green light and a mysterious atmosphere, casts a long and eerie black shadow and exudes a chilling silence.
Su Xingchen shuddered unconsciously. She could also hear the "thumping" heartbeat of Harry beside her. After all, he was not "Long Aotian", so it was normal for him to be afraid.
Unfortunately, even if she wanted to give Harry courage, she was powerless. What's more, she was even more afraid and had to rely entirely on herself for support.
Harry drew his wand and advanced slowly between the pillars where the giant snakes were coiled.
Was the basilisk hiding behind one of the pillars? Where was Ginny? Every cautious step he took echoed hollowly and loudly in this haunted room, making him tremble with fear.
Harry kept his eyes narrowed, ready to close them tightly at any moment if he heard any movement. He always felt that the stone snake's eyes were following his steps, and more than once he thought he heard something, and he was so nervous that his stomach was cramping.
When Harry and Su Xingchen walked to the last row of stone pillars, a stone statue as tall as the room suddenly appeared in front of them, tightly attached to the dark wall behind it.
The two had to look up high to see the huge face above.
It was an old, monkey-like face with a sparse long beard that almost reached the hem of the wizard's robe carved from stone, and two large feet standing on the smooth floor.
Su Xingchen curled his lips, so ugly.
Could this ugly old man be Salazar Slytherin?
"Ginny!" Harry saw a small figure in black robes, with hair as red as fire, lying between the feet of the statue, and he hurried over.
Su Xingchen floated over.
"Ginny." Harry knelt down beside Ginny and whispered, "Ginny, don't die! Please, don't die!"
Su Xingchen raised an eyebrow. Why did this feel a bit like an idol drama? So the CP was already apparent at this moment?
Harry threw his wand aside, grabbed Ginny's shoulders and turned her over.
Her face was as cold as marble, bloodless. Her eyes were tightly closed, which meant that she was not petrified but perhaps...
"Ginny, please wake up!" Harry begged in a low voice, shaking her body continuously.
Ginny's head just drooped lifelessly.
Su Xingchen restrained her desire to watch the fun. If she didn't know the plot, she would have thought that she was dead if she saw Ginny also thought so.
The lifeless look of the little girl was heartbreaking, and Harry's desperate and helpless tone was also heart-wrenching, making Su Xingchen a little annoyed at his own powerlessness.
After she calmed down, she no longer felt wronged. After all, Ginny hadn't asked her to leave. She could only blame herself for bad luck and her curiosity.
Su Xingchen forgot that she was floating around again and subconsciously wanted to pat Harry to comfort him.
To her surprise, this time her hand patted Harry's shoulder firmly. Of course, Harry still didn't react at all.
Su Xingchen stared at her palm in confusion. She had tried many times yesterday, but couldn't touch anyone or anything.
She tried to put her hand on Harry's shoulder again, and unlike before, it didn't disappear as soon as it touched him, but she actually put it on him.
Su Xingchen withdrew her hand. In this situation, the only thing that came to her mind was the ghost cultivators in the cultivation novels?
Then she suddenly realized that her body flickered like an incandescent light bulb with poor contact, flickering between transparent and milky white.
Su Xingchen knew the difference between her and the ghosts in Hogwarts. The ghosts were all milky white, while she was almost transparent white like fog.
She suddenly woke up and wanted to smash her head.
This is totally off the mark. What kind of ghost cultivator is this? The longer she is away from her body, the greater the probability of her death will be. When she completely turns milky white like the ghosts, she will be dead!
Fortunately, fortunately, she will be "resurrected" tomorrow... no, maybe tonight.
Su Xingchen's mood was up and down like a roller coaster. A soft voice came over, startling her and Harry and turning around at the same time.
"She won't wake up."
A black-haired boy was leaning against the nearest stone pillar, staring at them. Or rather, staring at Harry.
"Tom? Tom Riddle?"
The boy's features were oddly blurred, as if he were looking through a foggy window, but Harry had a feeling it was him.
Riddle nodded, his eyes never leaving Harry.
Su Xingchen moved a few steps carefully, and seeing that Voldemort did not react at all, she couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. It seemed that Voldemort couldn't see her either, which was good.
"What do you mean? She won't wake up?" Harry's voice was a little exasperated. "So she hasn't..."
"She's still alive," Riddle said, "but she won't be for long."
Harry stared at him blankly.
Tom Riddle was a student at Hogwarts fifty years ago, but he looked only sixteen years old standing here now, with a strange misty glow all around him.
"Are you a ghost?" Harry asked uncertainly.
"It's a memory," Riddle replied calmly. "It's been kept in a diary for fifty years." He pointed to the toes of the statue, where lay the diary that Harry had found in Myrtle's bathroom.
It’s a lie, it’s obviously a remnant soul, Su Xingchen thought.
At this point, she couldn't help but sigh that the protagonist is the protagonist. If it were her, she would probably believe Riddle's nonsense that it was just a memory. Fortunately, Harry's senses were extremely sharp, and he finally destroyed him with the basilisk's fangs.
Su Xingchen's thoughts began to wander unconsciously again.
"You have to help me, Tom." Harry held up Ginny's head. "I have to get her out of here. There's a basilisk..."
"It won't come unless it's summoned." Riddle had a strange smile on his face.
Harry, sweating profusely, half-lifted Ginny. Her weight made his knees weak. "What do you mean?"
"Harry Potter, I have waited a long time for the opportunity to meet you and talk to you." Riddle's slender fingers were casually playing with a wand.
Harry recognized it as his wand and held out his hand, "Thank you for picking up my wand. I might need it. The Chamber of Secrets is too dangerous. We might as well talk about it later."
"We must talk now." Riddle's smile widened as he slipped his wand into the pocket of his robes. "Besides, you won't need it."
Harry finally realized something was wrong and put Ginny back on the floor.
"Why did Ginny become like this?"
"That's an interesting question," Riddle said cheerfully. "It's a long story. The reason she became like this is probably because she opened her heart to a stranger and revealed all her secrets."
"For months, Ginny has been pouring out her troubles and sorrows in my diary, how her brothers teased her, how she had to wear old robes and carry old books to school, and..." Riddle's eyes twinkled cunningly, "she believed that the kind, great Harry Potter would never like her."
As he said this, his eyes never left Harry's face, and there was a greed in his eyes.
Su Xingchen secretly remembered in his heart that the magical world cannot be open and honest to people, otherwise it is easy to confuse their minds.
"It was so boring, listening to an eleven-year-old girl talk about her childish troubles, but I was patient and answered her with understanding. In the end, Ginny opened her whole soul to me."
Riddle let out a cold, shrill laugh that didn't sound like something coming from a sixteen-year-old child at all, and it made the hairs on the back of Harry and Su Xingchen's necks stand up.
Oh, Su Xingchen has no hair now.
"And her soul is exactly what I need. I devour her darkest fears and deepest secrets."
Su Xingchen nodded secretly as she listened. It sounded like a demon king, a demon, or something like that. Indeed, consuming fear and evil thoughts was a standard villain trait. Before this, the movies hadn't told her how Voldemort became so powerful. She'd thought he'd absorbed Ginny's vitality.
"I grew stronger, much stronger than Miss Weasley, and I opened a small part of my soul to her."
"What did you say?" Harry was a little incredulous, and he felt like his throat was about to burst into flames.
"Didn't you guess it, Harry Potter?" Riddle said slowly, "It was Ginny Weasley who opened the Chamber of Secrets. It was she who strangled Hagrid's rooster, wrote those scary words on the wall, and released Slytherin's monster, causing the four mudbloods to be attacked. Oh, and that Squib's cat."
Su Xingchen was furious. What did "four" mean? Didn't she count as a human being?
"Why attack Xingchen? She's a pureblood," Harry asked.
Riddle didn't answer the question, and the silence was deafening.
After a while, he spoke softly, "It was an accident."
Right? So she's just a cannon fodder NPC, right? Su Xingchen was completely speechless.
Harry clenched his fists so tightly that his nails dug into his flesh. He was furious. How could Riddle say such a thing so calmly? He had to work hard to keep his tone calm.
"Why do you want to see me?"
"Oh, it's like this. Ginny told me about you, all your fascinating and thrilling past, so I had to talk to you in person. And as time went on, she began to doubt me and tried to throw the diary away." Riddle's eyes passed over the lightning-shaped scar on Harry's forehead, and the expression on his face became more hungry. "Luckily, the person who saw the diary was you, Harry Potter. So I let you see how I caught the stupid Hagrid to gain your trust."
