HP Star Shining
Chapter 35
Suddenly, the whole classroom was filled with screams, and Hermione winked at Su Xingchen again.
"Quiet! Quiet!" Snape roared. "Students who have been splashed by the potion, come to me and get the swelling reducer until I find out who did it..."
Half of the students in the class were crowded in front of Snape in a mess. Some of their hands were swollen like clubs, some of their noses were swollen like watermelons, and some of their mouths were so swollen that they couldn't speak.
In the chaos, Harry saw Su Xingchen sneaking back into the classroom and breathed a sigh of relief.
In order to look less suspicious, he and Ron were also splashed a little by the potion.
You know what, it really hurts a little.
After everyone drank the antidote and all the strange swellings subsided, Snape used a spoon to scoop out a twisted piece of black fireworks ash from Goyle's crucible, and the classroom suddenly became silent.
"As soon as I find out who did this," Snape said, staring at Harry fiercely and lowering his voice, "I will definitely fire that person."
Harry tried hard to look confused, and thankfully, ten minutes later the bell rang.
The four of them hurried to Myrtle's bathroom to "destroy the evidence."
Hermione excitedly threw the new ingredients into the pot and stirred, "It should be ready in two weeks."
"He knows it's me, I can tell." Harry said worriedly.
"Snape can't prove it was you," Ron said soothingly.
"You know he won't let this go."
"It doesn't matter. He will be even angrier soon. I hope he can find out later." Su Xingchen said quietly as he looked at the pot of bubbling potion.
It was the first time in his life that he stole something, and the person he stole from was Snape. It was like plucking hair from a tiger's butt.
These two materials seemed to be quite precious, and it would not be a good idea to just take them away. Su Xingchen thought that if he had a chance he would look for them and secretly return them to Snape, maybe he would not be so angry.
A week later, the four of them were walking through the hallway when they noticed a piece of parchment on the bulletin board.
A group of people gathered there with great interest, and Seamus Finnigan and Dean Thomas excitedly called them over to watch together.
"They're starting a duelling club," Seamus said. "The first meeting is tonight, and honestly, I wouldn't mind learning some fighting skills. It might come in handy."
"What? You think Slytherin's monster is going to challenge you to a duel?" Ron said as he read the notice with great interest.
"It will always be useful." Seamus followed Harry, Hermione and Su Xingchen to the Great Hall. "Are you going?"
Harry and Hermione both agreed to go, so Su Xingchen nodded as well.
To be honest, I'm still a little curious. Harry and Draco also made an appointment to duel last year.
At eight o'clock in the evening, when several people hurried into the auditorium, the long table had disappeared and a gilded stage appeared along one wall.
The ceiling became as black as velvet, lit by a hundred candles.
The auditorium was packed with people, as if all the students in the school were there. Everyone was holding wands and talking excitedly.
"I wonder who'll teach us," Hermione said as they sidled through the chattering crowd. "Someone told me Professor Flitwick was a duelling champion in his youth. Maybe it's him."
"As long as it's not..." Harry's words got caught in his throat before he could finish them.
Gerald Lockhart walked onto the stage, looking radiant in a purple gown.
Beside him was none other than Snape, dressed in his usual black robes.
My goodness, Su Xingchen, like Harry, is most afraid of seeing these two people.
and many more.
So... today was the day Harry would speak Parseltongue in front of many students and be mistaken for the Heir of Slytherin?
Su Xingchen seemed to be lost in thought. She remembered that watching the movie seemed to have happened during class, so when the topic of the fighting club came up today, she didn't think of it at all.
Fortunately, I didn’t say I couldn’t come today.
Lockhart waved for silence and shouted, "Come around, come around! Can anyone see and hear me?"
"Excellent," Lockhart went on. "Well, Professor Dumbledore has allowed me to start this little duelling club to fully train you all, should you ever need to defend yourself, as I have done countless times. For full details, please see my publications."
Seeing Lockhart start bragging again, Su Xingchen really wanted to turn around and go back to sleep.
But no, something's happening tonight.
"Let me introduce my assistant, Professor Snape," Lockhart grinned. "He told me he knew a thing or two about dueling and graciously agreed to help me with a little demonstration before class. I said, I don't want you little guys to worry. After the demonstration, I'll give you a perfectly intact Potions teacher, don't worry."
Su Xingchen looked at Professor Snape's expressionless face and admired Lockhart's ability to speak so confidently to such a face. Where did he get his confidence from? Didn't he know his level of skill as well as others?
"Wouldn't it be nice if they fought each other to the point of getting hurt?" Ron muttered to Harry.
The two began to demonstrate.
Snape and Lockhart turned to each other and bowed.
When Lockhart bowed, he made many different moves with his hands, which made Su Xingchen want to laugh. Snape frowned impatiently.
Then they held their wands to their chests.
"As you can see, we will hold our wands in the normal dueling stance," Lockhart said to the hushed students. "On the count of three, we will cast our first spell. Of course, neither of us will take the other's life."
"I wouldn't bet on that." Harry looked at Snape.
"one two Three--"
Snape and Lockhart both raised their wands over their shoulders, and Snape shouted, "Expelliarmus."
There was a sudden flash of blinding red light, and Lockhart was knocked off his feet. He flew backwards across the stage, hit the wall, and then slid to the ground, where he curled up.
The Slytherin students applauded. "Do you think he's okay?" Hermione covered her mouth.
"Whatever," said Harry and Ron at the same time.
Su Xingchen was shocked. It looked like it was in a lot of pain.
Lockhart stumbled to his feet, his hat off and his wavy hair losing its usual fineness.
"Well, you see," he said, staggering back onto the stage. "It's a Disarming Charm. As you can see, I've lost my wand. Ah, thank you, Miss Brown."
Lockhart took the handkerchief handed over by a little fan girl and continued while sorting it out, "Yes, Professor Snape showed us this trick. But don't mind me saying this, your intention to do this just now was too obvious. If I wanted to stop you, it would be effortless. I did this just to broaden their horizons. If you ask me..."
Snape looked murderous.
Lockhart probably noticed this, so he changed the subject. "Well, that's the end of the demonstration! I'm going to come over to you and divide you into pairs."
Huh? Not on stage?
Su Xingchen thought about it carefully and it made sense. If so many students went on stage one by one, they would not be able to finish the rehearsal until dawn.
So, one is a movie and the other is reality.
Snape and Lockhart moved among the crowd, dividing everyone into teams.
As soon as Lockhart asked Neville to form a team with Justin Fenrie, Snape walked up to Harry and Ron.
"I think the dream team should be disbanded." Snape showed a sneer on his face, "Weasley, you and Finnigan form a team. As for Potter..."
Harry subconsciously moved towards Su Xingchen and Hermione.
"I don't think so." Snape's face returned to its cold expression. "Malfoy, come here and let us see what kind of person you can make of the famous Potter."
Draco Malfoy came forward with a smile on his face.
Su Xingchen hadn't seen Draco for a long time.
Of course, her "never met" meant that the two of them chatted and met like they did when they were friends before.
Ever since the Hermione incident, the two had occasionally run into each other in the classroom or corridor but had never spoken. Of course, there were always other people present, and Su Xingchen didn't know if this was a reason.
Later, Draco would occasionally look at her with a hesitant look, wanting to go forward but hesitant. Su Xingchen saw this and chose to ignore it.
Her demands were not high. If Draco apologized to Hermione, they could still be friends.
Of course, for the "young master", it would be extremely difficult and impossible for him to apologize to Hermione.
Draco didn't mention it himself, and Su Xingchen wouldn't rush to make such a request. She is not a saint.
It had been a long time since the two of them had faced each other like this. Draco glanced at Su Xingchen cautiously. Su Xingchen turned his head away and patted Harry's shoulder, "We're nearby."
Harry nodded.
An unknown storm brewed in Draco's lowered gray-blue eyes, and the smile on his face disappeared.
He is still young and cannot fully control his emotions.
"Face your partners," Lockhart shouted as he returned to the stage. "Bow!"
Harry and Malfoy barely nodded, their eyes fixed on each other.
"Wands up, ready!" Lockhart shouted. "On the count of three, cast a spell to disarm the opponent. Just disarm them. We don't want any accidents."
"one two Three--"
Harry jerked his wand over his shoulder, but Malfoy struck at the count of two, his wand striking Harry so hard it felt as if he had been hit on the head with a frying pan.
He stumbled, timed it perfectly, pointed his wand directly at Malfoy, and shouted the spell.
A flash of silver light struck Malfoy in the stomach, and he doubled over, gasping for breath.
