HP Star Shining

Chapter 150

Lee Jordan dug out a Gryffindor flag from nowhere and forced it on Harry. People surrounded him, constantly asking him to drink another glass of butterbeer or stuffing biscuits and snacks into his hands...

Everyone wanted to know how he had tricked Dumbledore's age into putting his name in the Goblet, and no one paid any attention to him saying over and over again, "I don't know how this happened."

Su Xingchen was completely dumbfounded. If she had known this would happen, she would not have sneaked out of the team and waited there at the risk of her life.

It's very Gryffindor to celebrate no matter what.

It seems that at least the Gryffindor classmates still support Harry very much. She is not isolated by everyone as she thought, which makes her feel a little relieved.

As for the other half of her breath, she looked at Angelina who was half hugging her.

Angelina, who is so tall and strong, is asking for comfort because she is "emotionally hurt" because she was not selected. Why is her statement not so trustworthy?

There is a reasonable suspicion that she was mistaken for Abebe.

Harry saw Su Xingchen comforting Angelina with a helpless smile. He especially wanted to find Hermione and Ron at this time, but neither of them seemed to be in the common room.

Finally, after repeatedly insisting that he needed to sleep and almost knocking down the Creevey brothers who tried to intercept him at the stairs, he finally got rid of the crowd and hurried upstairs to the dormitory.

It’s not that I don’t want to say hello to Xingchen, but only when he leaves can this farce end completely.

To their relief, the dormitory was occupied by one person, Ron, lying in bed fully clothed.

"Where have you been?" Harry asked, struggling to untie the knot of his banner.

"Oh, hello." Ron smiled, but it was a very awkward, forced smile as he lay there motionless, watching his best friend work alone with his mind.

"Congratulations, then," said Ron, when Harry had finally untied the banner and thrown it into a corner.

"What do you mean?" Harry noticed that something was wrong with Ron. His expression was very similar to Malfoy's sarcastic one.

"Nothing, an age line no one else has crossed. How did you do it? Did you use an invisibility cloak?"

"There's no way the Invisibility Cloak would get me across that line," said Harry.

"That's right. If it was an invisibility cloak, you could tell me. It would cover both of us, right? But you found another way."

"Look," Harry explained, suppressing his anger, "I didn't put my name in there. Someone else did."

Ron raised his eyebrows, "Really? What good would that do to them?"

"I don't know." Harry remembered what Mad-Eye Moody said. Only someone with extremely high magical powers could deceive the Goblet of Fire. "Maybe it's to kill me."

This was a ridiculous statement, sounding more like a boast than anything else, and Ron's eyebrows rose even higher, nearly disappearing in his hair.

"It's okay. You know you can tell me. I don't understand why you lied? Because you can get a thousand Galleons bonus and don't have to take the annual exam..."

"I said I didn't put my name in the goblet," Harry said louder, Ron's words irritating him more than anyone else's.

"Yeah, okay." Ron obviously didn't believe it, and the tone he spoke was exactly the same as when Cedric doubted Harry tonight.

"You said this morning that if it were you, you would put your name in in the middle of the night so no one would see it... You know, I'm not stupid."

"But you do leave me with that impression now," Harry said unhappily, unable to contain himself any longer.

"Really?" Ron's smile, whether genuine or forced, had vanished without a trace. "I think you'll want to go to bed, Harry. You might have to get up early tomorrow for press interviews and photo shoots and stuff..."

He jerked the curtains over him, covering the bed completely.

Harry stood alone in his dormitory, staring at the crimson bed curtains. One of the few people he thought would believe him was hiding behind the curtains.

When Harry woke up on Sunday morning, it took him a while to remember why he felt sad and anxious.

He sat up, wanting to talk to Ron, to convince him to trust him—but found the bed empty.

He got dressed and went downstairs. As soon as he appeared, his classmates cheered enthusiastically again. Harry was scared when he thought about entering the Great Hall and the Gryffindor students treating him like a hero.

But if he didn't go, the Creevey brothers were waving excitedly at him, motioning him to come over.

Harry walked towards the door decisively and happened to meet Hermione and Su Xingchen.

Hermione held up a piece of bread wrapped in a napkin in her hand, "I brought this for you. Want to go for a walk?"

"Good idea," Harry agreed without hesitation.

The three of them went downstairs, quickly crossed the hallway, and strode onto the lawn by the lake.

Durmstrang's large ship lay at anchor on the lake, casting a large shadow on the water.

It was a cold morning, and as they walked and munched their bread, Harry told her exactly what had happened in the little room the night before.

To his relief, Hermione accepted his statement without any problem.

"Of course I know you didn't sign up, Harry. Moody was right, no student could do that. No student could cheat the Goblet of Fire, and no student could cross Dumbledore's line..."

Su Xingchen nodded secretly. See, talking to smart people is worry-free.

"Have you seen Ron?" Harry interrupted Hermione.

"Uh..." Hermione looked at Su Xingchen hesitantly.

"He's eating in the auditorium." Su Xingchen answered for her.

"So, he still thinks I signed up myself."

"...Probably." In fact, Su Xingchen knew that when Ron became friends with Harry, he actually had a bit of an inferiority complex because of his family situation and various other reasons.

This time, Harry became the center of attention again, and he seemed to be always a follower.

But after making up after this quarrel, maybe the knot in my heart has been untied?

"Don't you understand, Harry?" said Hermione. "He's jealous."

"Jealous?" Harry couldn't believe it. "Jealous of what? Would he want to make such a fool of himself in front of the whole school?"

Yes, Harry felt that whether it was last night's game or the games to come, they would only make him look foolish.

"Think about it," Hermione explained patiently. "You know, it's always you who gets all the attention."

"Ron has to compete with so many older brothers at home. You're his best friend and a famous figure, but every time people see you, they leave him out. I think this time he just couldn't stand it anymore."

Su Xingchen thought of his outstanding brothers and felt that Ron was also very miserable.
