HP Star Shining
Chapter 149
Portraits of wizards and witches lined the walls on either side, and opposite him a roaring fire burned, with Viktor Krum, Cedric Diggory, and Fleur Radcour gathered around it.
Against the backdrop of the flames, the three figures were particularly impressive.
Krum leaned against the mantelpiece, hunched over in thought. Cedric stared at the fire, his hands behind his back, lost in thought. Fleur Delacour, sitting in an armchair, turned at the sound, her long, cascading silver hair tossing.
"What's the matter? Do you want us to go out?" She thought Harry came in to deliver a message.
Harry didn't know how to explain what had just happened. He just stood there and suddenly felt that the three of them were so tall.
It seemed like a century had passed, and Harry didn't know how he walked out of the small room. His head was buzzing with Dumbledore's questions, Karkaroff and Madam Maxime's dissatisfaction, and Mad-Eye Moody's anger.
Is someone really trying to kill him through this competition? Or is this just Moody's paranoia? What will be the first test of his courage? Can he really complete it?
The hall was empty now, the candle flames burning low, making the grinning jack-o'-lanterns seem eerie.
The footsteps behind him quickened, and Cedric walked side by side with Harry.
"So, we're rivals again." He said with a smile.
"I guess so." Harry didn't know what to say. His mind was like it had been ransacked and was in a mess.
But he felt that Digory seemed to mean something else.
"Then tell me how you got your name in there." Cedric looked at him.
"I didn't." Harry looked up to his level. "I'm telling the truth." Even though he probably wouldn't believe it.
At this time, the two of them had already walked out of the auditorium door.
"Harry."
Hearing the familiar voice, Harry realized that Su Xingchen did not return to the Gryffindor common room, but was squatting on the side of the marble staircase. He was about to stand up when he saw them come out.
He ignored Digory and quickly walked over to help her, "Xingchen, why didn't you go back?"
"I'll wait for you." Su Xingchen rubbed his knees which were almost numb and said with a smile.
It's because I'm worried about him. He was suddenly involved in this kind of thing again. Everyone's reaction in the auditorium must have made him very nervous.
If we talk about unlucky people, Harry is the most unlucky.
However, the protagonist's bad luck is to gain experience points, which is different from her who is purely unlucky.
Harry couldn't describe what he felt at the moment. His Adam's apple rolled in a sluggish arc, and the panic and anxiety lingering in his heart seemed to have found a support and settled down.
Fortunately, the stars will always stand by him no matter what.
Su Xingchen didn't notice his abnormality because she found Cedric staring at her.
"It's not curfew yet!" she said immediately, her soft voice surprisingly firm... That was impossible. Even though it wasn't curfew, she shouldn't be here, otherwise she wouldn't have to squat by the stairs to avoid being discovered by the prefects.
She was obviously exploiting a bug, but Cedric would give her a break, right? Su Xingchen thought.
After all, it had been done before. Of course, it wouldn't work if it was a prefect like Percy.
Cedric looked at her with a half-smile, and Su Xingchen suddenly shuddered. This expression was very similar to the way Su Yuechen had tried to trick her before. She quickly said, "By the way, congratulations on becoming a Hogwarts warrior."
"Thank you, Potter is also one of the Hogwarts Knights." Cedric said in a light tone.
Su Xingchen blinked, not knowing what he meant by that. Was he unhappy that Harry was also called one of the warriors?
However, it is normal to be unhappy. There is a new competitor for no apparent reason, and it may be an opponent who has been created through trickery.
The little girl had an ignorant look in her eyes, and her long eyelashes seemed to tremble under the flickering candlelight. Cedric sighed imperceptibly. Forget it, what else could he expect from her?
"Go back quickly," he said.
"Okay." Su Xingchen was a little excited. She knew Cedric wouldn't be too picky. "Good night."
"Good night," Cedric said, and walked towards the door to the right of the stairs.
After his back disappeared, Su Xingchen and Harry slowly walked up the stairs back to Gryffindor.
She didn't ask Harry any more questions or comfort him.
Judging by herself, when encountering such a thing, she hopes that there is someone by her side, who will not say anything, ask anything, but just accompany her quietly.
Of course, if Harry needed comfort, she would not hesitate to ask.
But hadn't he said a word? That proved they were of the same mind. Talking too much would have been cumbersome, and besides, giving advice wasn't her strong suit.
Harry actually had something to say.
He wanted to ask Xingchen why she believed him, did she "see" him? After all, Hermione and Ron both looked dumbfounded when they heard his name, or was it that she simply trusted him completely?
He then thought that the stars could only see things related to Voldemort, so they probably couldn't see him being chosen as the Champion of the Goblet of Fire. Even if they saw it but didn't say anything, it only proved that it didn't pose any danger to him.
He felt like his brain was splitting apart.
While wanting to know more "inside information", I also warned myself to overcome this opportunistic idea and not become dependent on it. Whenever something happens, I always think of asking Xingchen if he "saw" it.
He thought too much and didn't know which sentence to say first.
Harry looked at the person beside him. She seemed to be thinking about something, with a calm smile on her face.
He suddenly calmed down again and thought it was nice to just walk quietly.
Su Xingchen finished her mental activity and found that Harry was looking at her.
"What's wrong?" she asked.
Harry turned his head back, "It's okay."
When the Fat Lady's portrait was opened, Harry nearly fell over at the sudden uproar, and was dragged into the common room by a dozen hands, where everyone was screaming, cheering, and whistling.
"You should have told us you signed up!" Fred shouted, looking half excited and half annoyed.
"How did you get through without growing a beard? That's amazing!" George exclaimed.
"I didn't," said Harry. "I don't know what happened."
Angelina rushed over like a whirlwind, "Even if it's not me, at least he's a member of Gryffindor."
"You can avenge Diggory for that last Quidditch match, Harry," screamed Katie Bell.
"We have food ready, Harry, come and have something."
"Thank you, I'm not hungry."
But no one wanted to hear him say he wasn't hungry, and no one wanted to hear him say he didn't put his name in the goblet. No one seemed to notice that he was in no mood to celebrate at all.
