HP Star Shining

Chapter 147

"I guess she will stay. Ms. Maxime will still be here as a referee, right?"

A clanking sound behind them announced that Hermione had returned with her badge, and Harry and Ron dropped the subject.

As they approached Hagrid's hut, Ron's doubts, which he had been wanting to ask but hadn't had time to ask, were answered. The Beauxbatons' powder-blue carriage was parked not far from Hagrid's hut, and the huge silver-winged horses were grazing in a makeshift pasture.

Harry knocked on Hagrid's door, and Fang inside immediately cried out.

"Finally," Hagrid said, opening the door. "I thought you little fellas had forgotten where I lived."

"We're just too busy, Ha..." Hermione stopped mid-explanation and looked up at Hagrid, speechless with surprise.

Hagrid was wearing his best, and also very ugly, furry brown suit, with a yellow and orange checked tie.

But that wasn't the worst of it. He had obviously tried to smooth his hair out by using a lot of machine oil or something, so his hair not only smelled weird but was also combed into two slicked-back bunches.

He probably wanted to have a ponytail like Bill, but he had too much hair so he had to tie it into two, which obviously didn't suit him.

Hermione stared at Hagrid blankly for a moment, her mouth opening and closing, before deciding not to comment.

Ron wanted to complain, but Hermione stopped him in time.

Su Xingchen knew exactly why Hagrid suddenly became like this.

She couldn't help but sigh that love is great, but also blinding.

The four of them spent the day in Hagrid's hut, which was a pleasant enough day except that Hermione found a claw in Hagrid's beef stew.

The four learned from Hagrid that he obviously already knew the content of the game.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione tried every possible means to coax him to tell them, but this time Hagrid remained tight-lipped.

"I don't want to spoil your fun, but the Warriors have a lot to do," he said.

It started to drizzle in the afternoon and everyone sat in front of the warm fire.

Raindrops tapped against the pane as Hagrid darned his socks and flatly refused to join Hermione's Spew Society after seeing the badge.

"It's not a good thing for them, Hermione." He was unusually serious, threading yellow yarn through a thick needle. "It's their nature to take care of people. They like it, don't you understand? They would be miserable if they weren't allowed to work, and it would be an insult to them to pay them."

"But Harry freed Dobby, and Dobby is so happy!" Hermione retorted, "And I heard he's asking people to pay him now."

"Yeah, every creature has its freaks. I don't deny there are a few oddballs out there who would love to be free, but you can't convince the vast majority. Seriously, Hermione."

Hermione looked annoyed by Hagrid's words and slammed the box of her badges into her robe pocket.

Su Xingchen secretly felt that Hagrid was right. How did the saying go?

If you are not a fish, how can you know the joy of a fish?

It was getting dark. Hagrid, who had just said that they were going to the Halloween party together, forgot about the four of them in an instant after seeing Ms. Maxime.

His eyes were misty and his expression was infatuated. This was the second time Harry had seen him look like this, the first time being when Charmander Norbert was born.

"He's going to the castle with her," Hermione said angrily. "He completely forgot about us here."

Hagrid never once glanced back at his hut, and had no recollection of the four people he had left in it.

Fortunately, his house doesn't have a door that can't be opened once closed.

"He's in love with her!" Ron seemed incredulous. "Well, if they have children in the future, each one will weigh at least a ton. I'm not kidding."

Su Xingchen was amused by Ron, "Okay, let's go."

They left the cabin by themselves, shut the door behind them, and, wrapping their cloaks tightly around themselves, walked up the slope of the lawn.

"Look, they're coming," whispered Hermione.

The Durmstrang group was walking from the lake to the castle, with Karkaroff and Krum in the front, and the others following sparsely.

Ron looked at Krum excitedly, but he reached the main door and entered the hall ahead of the four people who were not looking away.

When the four men entered the candlelit auditorium, it was almost full.

The auditorium also has new changes because of Halloween.

A swarm of live bats flitted across the enchanted ceiling, and hundreds of pumpkin figurines squinted at everyone from corner to corner.

They went to the Gryffindor table, and both George and Fred's chins were smooth again.

"I hope it's Angelina." George said after they sat down, as if he had accepted the reality.

"Me too!" Hermione held her breath. "We'll find out soon enough."

Su Xingchen recalled the scene in the morning when Angelina put her arms tightly around her neck and said that if she was elected as a warrior, she would definitely cheer for her. Being too enthusiastic can also be a trouble.

"The Hufflepuffs are all talking about Diggory," Seamus said. "I wouldn't say he'd want that handsome face of his to be hurt."

Su Xingchen leaned over to take a look out of curiosity. Seamus's expression was clearly one of disdain. He had never heard that Cedric had any conflicts with him?

"I think so," Fred continued. "How can he attract the attention of girls if he's disfigured?"

I see, it’s because he’s handsome.

I didn't expect that boys would be jealous for this reason. Su Xingchen straightened his clothes and sat down again.

"Xingchen." Fred called her from across the crowd. "I heard you seem to have a good relationship with Diggory, but don't be fooled by his face."

Su Xingchen was so scared that he waved his hands repeatedly, "I don't have that idea."

She paused, "Besides, he's a very good person. He probably doesn't have the thoughts you say."

Fred curled his lips, with an expression that said, "Look, you still say you weren't fooled by him."

Su Xingchen was not going to argue with him. There was no need to explain such things.

But who said she had a good relationship with Cedric?

Putting aside the three things about eating, the World Cup and Flint, the only connections between them can be said to be few and far between, and there are only a few people who know about these three things. Su Xingchen turned to Ron with suspicion. Could it be that he is such a big mouth?

Although Xingchen didn't say it explicitly, Harry knew she was defending Diggory.

It seemed that after the previous two incidents, he had also been put into Xingchen's circle. She was always like this, even if she wouldn't argue with others until her face turned red, she would not stand by and listen to others talk bad about her friends.
