HP Star Shining

Chapter 104

"Hermione, are you going to the game?" Harry saw the two of them walking towards them.

"Of course I did." This time Hermione didn't even look up. "I'm glad we won, and I thought you did a really great job, but I need to finish the book by Monday."

Harry glanced at Su Xingchen, and she curled her lips, indicating that she couldn't.

"Come on, Hermione, come and have something to eat." Harry said while looking at Ron over there, wondering what his mood was today and whether he could reconcile with Hermione.

"I can't, Harry, I still have four hundred and twenty pages to read!" Hermione's voice sounded a little hysterical. "And..." She glanced at Ron, "He doesn't want me to come either."

Harry had no way of saying anything to that, because Ron just happened to say, "If Scabbers hadn't been eaten, he'd have had some taffy. He used to love it."

Without waiting for Harry to say anything, Hermione tucked the book under her arm and ran towards the stairs of the girls' dormitory and disappeared.

"I'll go see her." Su Xingchen quickly stood up and followed.

"Can't you just go around her?" Harry whispered to Ron, returning to the center.

"No," Ron refused. "Even if she showed a little sadness, she would never admit she was wrong. That's Hermione."

Su Xingchen was hurriedly woken up in the middle of the night when he was half asleep. It was not long after Professor McGonagall forcibly stopped the Gryffindor celebration.

Ron's expression was still utterly horrified when she entered the common room.

"What's wrong, Ron?" Su Xingchen had never seen Ron look so scared, even when facing the spiders he feared the most.

"Black! Sirius Black! He took a knife and pierced my bed curtains!" Ron kept repeating.

It was rare that Su Xingchen didn't think he was nagging, and it looked like the child was scared.

She reached out and gently patted Ron's back, saying softly, "It's okay, Ron. It's okay, we are all here, we will be with you."

Ron still looked a little dull, staring at her blankly for a moment, "Yes, it's okay, you're all here."

That night, no Gryffindor went to sleep; everyone was waiting in the common room.

Another castle search.

Su Xingchen learned from the scattered words pieced together by others that someone had indeed passed Sir Cadogan with a note with a password written on it for a week.

The original owner of the password-written note that was accidentally lost was undoubtedly the unlucky and amnesiac Neville Longbottom.

It turns out that Sirius even came into Gryffindor to look for Harry. He was so brave.

Su Xingchen admired him more and more.

Yes, how could it be easy to escape from Azkaban which is full of Dementors?

Students from all the houses were waiting in their respective common rooms. At dawn, Professor McGonagall brought the news to the Gryffindor students: Sirius Black had escaped again.

That morning, security at Hogwarts was tightened again.

Professor Flitwick was teaching the castle gate guards how to identify Black's photo, and Filch was busy walking up and down the corridor trying to plug all the gaps, even the cracks in the walls and the rat holes.

Sir Cadogan was dismissed from his post and sent back to the deserted landing on the eighth floor. The Fat Lady was restored to her post by experts, but she was still a little nervous. A group of rude trolls were hired to protect her. They walked around the corridors in groups of three or five, dragging huge wooden sticks and occasionally comparing the size of the sticks in their hands.

Harry accidentally noticed that the one-eyed witch statue on the fourth floor was still unguarded and not sealed.

It seems that George and Fred were right. They were the only ones who knew that there was a secret passage inside. Of course, now there were also him, Ron, Hermione and Su Xingchen.

"What do you think, should I tell them?" Harry asked Ron and Su Xingchen.

"He couldn't have come from Honeydukes," Ron shrugged. "If he'd broken into the candy store, we'd have definitely heard about it."

Harry was glad Ron thought so; if the one-eyed witch was sealed away, he wouldn't be able to go to Hogsmeade anymore.

Ron was the main victim this time, and he thought if it was okay, then it was okay. As for Xingchen, she was definitely on his side. The only unstable factor was Hermione.

I hope she's so busy with her studies that she forgets about it.

Ron became famous.

For the first time in his life, he received more attention than Harry when walking on the street.

He liked this feeling very much, and even though he was still in shock, he was willing to tirelessly tell people about the scene.

"But why?" Su Xingchen felt it was time to start taking precautions. "Why did he run away when Ron called him?"

Harry was puzzled too.

Black had walked into the wrong bed. He could have just killed Ron to silence him and then come back to him. The incident twelve years ago proved that he didn't care about killing innocent people at all. This time, he was facing only an unarmed and sleeping boy.

"Maybe he knew that after Ron woke everyone up by yelling, it would be difficult for him to escape from the castle." Harry thought, "He would have to kill all the Gryffindors and would also meet the professor." This was the most reasonable explanation he could think of.

Su Xingchen smiled and did not comment on Harry's answer.

The unlucky Neville not only received a howler letter from his grandmother, but was also put in detention by the furious Professor McGonagall, who did not allow anyone to tell him the password.

Even though Neville rushed out of the hall with the letter as soon as he received it, there was still a sound like an explosion in the hall, with people shrilly accusing him of bringing shame to the family.

The Slytherin table erupted in laughter.

Su Xingchen glanced at him, and Draco accidentally met her gaze. He immediately stopped smiling and turned his head away as if nothing had happened.

I almost forgot, besides Neville, there are four other people in solitary confinement.

Harry was so busy feeling sorry for Neville that he didn't notice he had a letter too, until Hedwig pecked him hard on the wrist.

Harry tore open the envelope and saw Su Xingchen gave Hedwig some cornflakes.

It was from Hagrid.

Dear Harry and Ron,

Will you have tea with me this afternoon at six? I'll pick you up at the castle. Please wait for me in the hall and don't come out.

"He might want to hear about Black," said Ron.

Su Xingchen took the letter and read it. He specifically mentioned Ron's name but did not include her or mention Hermione. This was not like Hagrid's style.

"Xingchen, are you coming too?" said Harry.

Su Xingchen shook her head. Hagrid obviously had something to say to the two boys, and she felt it was related to Hermione.

She and Hermione had no conflict, so she wasn't going.
