HP Star Shining
Chapter 102
Ron threw something on Hermione's runes homework.
Hermione and Harry hurried to see, and on top of the strange, spiky words lay a few long strands of ginger cat hair.
Ron was very angry because Hermione had never taken Crookshanks's desire to eat Scabbers seriously. Not only did she not look favorably upon it, she even claimed that it was innocent. She suggested that Ron look under the bed or in the corner.
Hermione also emotionally claimed that Ron had no evidence to prove that Crookshanks ate Scabbers. A few ginger hairs could not prove anything at all. Maybe they were left over from Christmas Day. She also said that Ron had always been prejudiced against him because Crookshanks almost hit him in the Magical Beasts Shop.
Su Xingchen had no recollection of this incident, but what was certain was that Peter Pettigrew could not have died.
She suddenly realized that this was almost exactly the same scene as when Minister of Magic Fudge described the capture of Sirius. He left behind some specious evidence to clear himself completely.
Sneer, that traitor's usual tactic.
However, Ron was extremely emotional right now, and her words of defending Hermione and Crookshanks would only add fuel to the fire.
The two of them had an unprecedented quarrel, and their friendship seemed to be over.
Harry had no idea how to reconcile the two of them.
He also privately believed that Crookshanks had eaten Scabbers, and when he told Hermione that the evidence did point to Crookshanks, Hermione also got angry with Harry.
"Okay, stand aside with Ron. I knew you would!" she shrieked. "First it was the Firebolt, then Scabbers. Everything's my fault, isn't it? So leave me be, Harry. I've got a lot of homework to do!"
Three out of the four people were in conflict, and Su Xingchen was really overwhelmed.
From their respective standpoints, Harry, Ron, and Hermione were all right.
Then the only one who is wrong is the one who started this incident.
Suddenly, she hated Peter Pettigrew even more.
At night, the Parvati sisters fell asleep. The wooden door made a slight creaking sound, and Hermione tiptoed into the dormitory.
"Hermione." Su Xingchen sat up from the quilt.
Hermione felt a little uncomfortable, "You're still awake, Xingchen."
"Well, I'm waiting for you." Su Xingchen said in a soft voice, as if any louder voice would wake up the other two sleeping people.
"You're blaming me too?" Hermione's voice rose involuntarily.
"What are you talking about?" Su Xingchen patted the quilt loudly. "Do you want to sleep together?"
Hermione looked at her with her lips pursed stubbornly.
"Please, please." Su Xingchen opened his pitiful little doe eyes, "I'm scared, I'm having a nightmare again."
Acting pitiful is a very useful trick, I learned that from the incident with Draco.
Living in the same dormitory, Hermione of course knew that Su Xingchen had frequent nightmares in the past year. She changed her clothes without saying a word and climbed into bed.
Su Xingchen hugged Hermione's arm and put his head close to her, as if sleeping on her fluffy curly brown hair.
"You need to take a few less classes, right?" She tapped her eyes. "Look at your dark circles. You look almost as ugly as Professor Lupin."
"You thought you were going to tell me about Scabbers." Hermione was a little stunned. She knew that the man who always felt sleepy at a certain time was still not asleep. He was waiting for her.
"I know it's definitely not Crookshanks. Banban must have run away on his own." Su Xingchen was telling the truth. Although some people thought Crookshanks looked ugly and fierce, she just liked this kind of round face, which was cute.
Of course, her little ball of fur is still the cutest now.
Tonight, in order to comfort Hermione, she put the little ball of fur in a cage and stuffed it under the bed.
"Yeah." Hermione responded softly. If you listen carefully, you can hear a hint of sob and grievance. To be honest, she herself is not sure whether it has anything to do with Crookshanks, but it feels great to have someone who can stand by her unconditionally.
"Ron just lost his pet, so he's inevitably a little impatient. Don't take what he said to heart. If the little fur ball is missing, I think he'll behave even worse."
"Hmm." Hermione's voice was muffled.
Su Xingchen suddenly raised half of his head and said, "By the way, I didn't speak up for you just now. You won't be angry, right?"
Hermione thought of her quarrel with Ron, and then her quarrel with Harry, and realized that Xingchen was right not to say anything at that time. She was too emotional and she might very well start a quarrel with her.
Or Xingchen quarreled with Harry and Ron over her.
She shook her head, "I'm not angry."
"That's good." Su Xingchen threw his head back onto the pillow. "Next time Ron bothers you about this, I'll scold him for you. I'm really good at scolding people."
Hermione sneered. She had never seen the weak Su Xingchen quarreling with anyone. At most, she would just lower her head and sulk. Where did she get such confidence from?
Seeing the person smile, Su Xingchen breathed a sigh of relief.
"Hermione, you have to seriously consider my advice. You don't even have time to be with me now." She complained in a resentful manner.
Hermione turned her head and looked at the exquisite profile without blinking.
Su Xingchen felt something and turned around to tease, "What? Are you mesmerized by my beauty? You can't be as beautiful as me if you don't sleep every day."
Hermione scoffed again, "What you said... I'll consider it."
Su Xingchen felt that Hermione looked very well behaved today, without any of her usual domineering attitude.
Her hand patted Hermione's arm intermittently. "I'll hum a tune for you."
The graceful and melodious tune hummed by Su Xingchen, coupled with her soft voice, inexplicably made people feel at ease.
Maybe too many things happened tonight, or maybe he was too tired from doing homework, but the person next to him fell asleep easily to the sound of this unknown little song.
After confirming that Hermione was asleep, Su Xingchen rubbed his eyes.
She was really, really sleepy. This wasn't her biological clock.
Ron really couldn't accept the departure of his rat and always had a depressed face. The twins' comfort made him feel even worse.
Hermione still didn't join them because she hadn't yet freed herself from her heavy homework.
Harry made one last effort to cheer Ron up.
He persuaded Ron to watch their last training session before the match against Ravenclaw, and promised to let him ride a few laps of the Firebolt after the training.
This did make Ron forget about Scabbers for a while, and the group set off for the Quidditch field in a mighty procession.
Su Xingchen, Ron and Ginny were sitting in the stands of the Quidditch field.
The Gryffindor players gathered around Wood to listen to his final instructions before the game.
Su Xingchen, who was originally uninterested, became lively after vaguely hearing a name.
