HP Star Shining
Chapter 101
"Don't forget to eat. I was too close to the stove and it melted a little." When they reached the stairs of the girls' dormitory, Su Xingchen turned back and reminded them.
Harry nodded silently. He squeezed the chocolate in his hand. It was a little soft, but not to the point of melting.
It doesn't look like it was melted by a stove, but more like it was softened by body temperature.
He tore open the wrapper and put the chocolate in his mouth.
It’s sweeter than Lupin’s, maybe because it’s softer, or maybe because girls like chocolate to be sweeter.
During the first week of school, Slytherin and Ravenclaw played their first Quidditch match.
Slytherin won.
According to Wood, this is good news for them. If they can also beat Ravenclaw, they will get second place.
So he increased his Quidditch practice to five times a week.
As soon as Harry took out the Firebolt, he attracted everyone's attention, and they surrounded him excitedly.
"Where did you get that, Harry?"
"Can you let me try?"
"Have you ever ridden one, Harry?"
"Ravenclaw is hopeless. They're all riding the Sweeping Seven Stars."
The team passed the Firebolt around, admiring it from every angle.
"Thank you, Wood." Harry stood beside Wood.
"What? Why are you thanking me, Harry?" Wood asked in confusion.
Harry was stunned, "Didn't you talk to Professor McGonagall before returning her to me?"
"That matter..." Wood smiled, "I haven't had the chance to talk to her about it yet, but the result is always good."
Harry looked at the Firebolt that everyone loved so much. Since Wood hadn't told Professor McGonagall about it, it must have undergone rigorous testing and been confirmed by the professor to be completely fine.
Five Quidditch practices a week meant that, including Professor Lupin's separate Dementor-defending training, Harry only had one night a week to do all his homework.
Even so, he wasn't as nervous as Hermione.
The heavy workload seemed to have finally brought her to a standstill. Every night she could be seen sitting alone in a corner of the common room, occupying several tables covered with various books and homework, including arithmetic charts, runic dictionaries, diagrams of Muggles lifting heavy objects, and densely packed notes.
She hardly ever spoke to anyone, and would always respond with harsh words if disturbed.
"How did she do it?" Ron asked in a low voice one night. Harry was writing a nasty paper assigned by Snape about undetectable potions, and Su Xingchen was looking for useful information for him.
Hearing Ron's words, they both raised their heads at the same time.
"What happened?" Harry asked.
Ron nodded in Hermione's direction.
Harry looked over and saw Hermione almost completely hidden by a teetering pile of books.
"This morning I heard her talking to Professor Victor, the witch who teaches Arithmancy." Ron glanced at Hermione quickly, then lowered his head and whispered, "They were discussing the content of yesterday's Arithmancy class, but she was clearly in Care of Magical Creatures class with us at that time. Also, Ernie Macmillan told me that Hermione has never missed a Muggle Studies class, but half of them conflict with Divination, and she has never missed a Divination class."
"I think she must not have said it because it was inconvenient, but we'd better not disturb her." Su Xingchen said. After all, Hermione now really looked like a Tyrannosaurus Rex that could explode at any moment.
But she felt that Hermione might really be a little crazy about studying. She looked over there with some concern, intending to find an opportunity to persuade her.
Harry didn't have time to study Hermione's incredible schedule right now. He really needed to finish Snape's paper as soon as possible.
Even though Su Xingchen would do his best to help him look up various materials and classify them to save his time, time was still very tight.
January passed by unknowingly, and the bitterly cold weather did not change at all with the arrival of February.
The match between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw is approaching.
The Dementor-defense training sessions were not going as smoothly as Harry had hoped.
After a few lessons, whenever a Boggart transformed into a Dementor and attacked him, he could conjure up a blurry silver-white shadow, but his Patronus was too weak to drive the Dementor away.
It just hung there like a translucent cloud, and he had to use all his energy to keep it from disappearing.
Harry was mad at himself for this, and felt guilty for secretly wishing he could hear his parents' voices again.
"You expect too much of yourself," said Professor Lupin gravely. "A vague Patronus is a remarkable achievement for a wizard of thirteen or fourteen, and you won't faint again now, will you?"
"I thought the Patronus would keep the Dementors away..." Harry said, looking frustrated. "Make them disappear or something."
"A real Patronus can indeed do that." Professor Lupin patted him on the shoulder. "But you have made great progress in a short time. If the Dementors appear again in the next competition, you will be able to temporarily control them and land safely."
"But you said it would be harder to deal with them if there were more of them."
"I have complete confidence in you," said Lupin, smiling. "Well, you've earned yourself a little drink, something from the Three Broomsticks, which I'm afraid you haven't tasted yet..." He pulled two bottles from his briefcase.
"Butterbeer," Harry said without hesitation. "I quite like that stuff."
Professor Lupin raised an eyebrow.
"I mean... Ron and Hermione brought me some once," Harry lied quickly.
"I see." Lupin's face still had a hint of doubt. "Well, let's congratulate Gryffindor on their victory over Ravenclaw, although as a teacher I shouldn't be biased."
Su Xingchen could guess Harry's academic progress from his expression when he returned to the common room every Thursday night.
I couldn't help but frown, the Patronus Charm seemed really difficult.
At this moment, a choked scream suddenly came from the stairs of the boys' dormitory. The entire common room suddenly became quiet, and everyone stared at the stairs.
The sound of hurried footsteps became louder and louder.
Ron jumped out, dragging a sheet along with him.
"Look!" he roared, striding towards Hermione's desk. "Look!"
"Ron, what's wrong?" Su Xingchen quickly stood up and ran over there, and Harry followed closely.
Ron angrily shook the sheet in his hand to show Hermione, "Scabbers! Look! Scabbers!"
The look on Hermione's face was one of pure confusion.
Harry looked down at the sheet in Ron's hand. There was a red mark on it. It looked a little scary, like...
"Blood!" Ron said amidst the stunned silence. "It's dead. Do you know what's on the floor?"
"No...I don't know." Hermione's voice trembled a little.
