Rise of the Otherworld.

Chapter 780: Life and Death Battle (3)

The footsteps were getting closer and closer, and soon, a group of men in black appeared in front of them.

"Want to leave? Not so easy!" the leading man in black said coldly. His voice seemed to come from hell, carrying an endless chill, and it was particularly eerie in the silent night. His face was covered with a black cloth, revealing only a pair of cold and ruthless eyes, which gleamed coldly in the moonlight.

Zhang Hao gripped his sword tightly. "Don't be afraid, everyone! Fight them!" His eyes blazed with fighting spirit as he charged at the men in black. His figure flashed like lightning, and he was instantly engaged in combat. He wielded his sword with ferocity, each strike laced with a desperate determination.

The woman raised her magic wand, muttering something to herself as a brilliant beam of magical light shot towards the man in black. Wherever the light reached, the air seemed to ignite, emitting a sizzling sound. Her eyes were firm and focused, and beads of sweat covered her forehead, but the magic wand in her hand never stopped radiating light.

Not to be outdone, the old man waved his staff, releasing a series of mysterious runes in an attempt to restrain the man in black. The runes flashed with strange light in the air, like golden ropes, winding towards the man in black.

Although the herbalist was terrified, he mustered up his courage, picked up a stick from the ground, and waved it wildly at the man in black, shouting, "Don't come over here, don't come over here!"

The men in black quickly dispersed, forming a circle that trapped them. The leading man sneered, "You're overestimating your own abilities!" With a wave of his hand, the others behind him charged forward. Their movements were perfectly coordinated and well-trained, their weapons flashing with a cold light.

Zhang Hao engaged in a fierce battle with the charging black-clad men. His sword gleamed coldly in the moonlight, and every swing was accompanied by a sharp whistling sound. One of the black-clad men seized the opportunity to attack, but Zhang Hao dodged and, with a backhand strike, stabbed the man in the chest. Blood spurted out, staining his clothes red, but he didn't flinch and continued to fight the other black-clad men.

Although the woman's magic was powerful, the men in black were too numerous, and she gradually felt overwhelmed. One of them accidentally broke through her defenses and scratched her arm. She groaned in pain, but still gritted her teeth and persisted in casting magic.

The old man's runes had a certain restraining effect on the man in black, but he was old and his strength was gradually failing. His breathing became rapid, and the staff in his hand became heavy, but his eyes were still full of determination.

The herbalist was knocked to the ground by a man in black in the chaos and groaned in pain, but he quickly got up and continued to swing the wooden stick in his hand, although his movements had become very clumsy.

Just as they were in dire straits, the mysterious man suddenly struck. Like a ghost, he instantly appeared behind a man in black and, with a wave of his hands, sent him flying with a powerful force. His movements were fluid and seamless, as if those men in black were no match for him.

With the mysterious man's arrival, the situation eased somewhat. However, the men in black continued to pour in, as if they would never be able to be killed.

Zhang Hao's body was covered in wounds, blood staining his clothes. His movements began to slow, but his eyes remained firm. Every time he swung his sword, he used up every last bit of his strength.

The woman's face was pale, the light of magic had become weaker, her lips had lost their color, but she continued to chant spells, providing support to everyone.

The old man's breathing became more and more rapid, and the light on his staff became dim. But he still persisted and refused to give up.

The herbalist was so tired that he collapsed on the ground, his eyes filled with despair.

Just when everyone was feeling desperate, Zhang Hao suddenly discovered a flaw in the man in black.

"Follow me!" he shouted, leading everyone towards the flaw. He used all his strength, brandishing his sword, clearing a path for everyone.

After a desperate fight, they finally broke out of the encirclement of the men in black.

"Hurry, run to the secret passage!" shouted the mysterious man.

The crowd didn't dare to stop and rushed towards the secret passage. Their footsteps were particularly clear in the silent night, like a countdown to their lives.

However, the men in black were chasing them relentlessly, their footsteps getting closer and closer, as if they would catch up at any moment.

Zhang Hao looked back and his heart tightened.

"Don't look back, run!" the woman shouted.

They ran desperately with only one thought in their minds, which was to survive.

Finally, they saw the entrance to the secret passage.

"Come in quickly!" the mysterious man shouted.

Everyone went into the secret passage. At the last moment, the mysterious man turned around and released a powerful force, temporarily blocking the pursuit of the man in black.

After entering the secret passage, they didn't dare to stop and kept running forward. The secret passage was filled with a damp smell, and water droplets from the wall dripped onto them, making them feel cold.

But they knew that as long as there was still a glimmer of hope, they could not give up...
