Rise of the Otherworld.
Chapter 771 Unknown Vortex
Suddenly, a massive crack appeared before them, and a powerful airflow surged from it, sweeping them in. They felt the world spinning, their bodies completely out of control. In the darkness, they were like leaves in a gust of wind, being tossed about wantonly.
Zhang Hao tried hard to steady himself, but found himself powerless in the face of such a powerful force. He shouted, "Everyone hold on to each other!" His voice was almost drowned out by the howling wind, but he still shouted with all his might, hoping to bring a little support to his companions.
The woman, the old man, the herbalist, and the little girl embraced each other tightly, tumbling through the darkness with the current. The wind howled around them, as if to devour their souls. The woman's long hair flew wildly in the wind, her eyes tightly closed, her heart filled with fear. The old man hugged the little girl tightly, shielding her from the unknown danger with his body. The herbalist cried out in fear and despair.
After an unknown amount of time, they were finally thrown out and landed in an unfamiliar place. Zhang Hao struggled to his feet, feeling dizzy and dazed. He saw stars, and every muscle in his body protested against what he had just experienced.
"Is everyone okay?" His voice was a little weak. His throat was so dry that it almost smoked, and his voice became hoarse.
The woman groaned, "I feel like my bones are falling apart." She slowly got up from the ground, her clothes torn and revealing scratches and bruises.
The old man coughed a few times and said, "I'm lucky to be still alive." His face was as pale as paper, but his eyes were still firm.
The herbalist groaned, "Oh, my waist, what should I do?"
The little girl was so scared that she started crying, "Oh, I'm scared."
Zhang Hao looked around and found that he was in a huge cave, surrounded by thick fog, making it difficult to see the scenery in the distance. The fog seemed to have life, flowing slowly, making people feel uneasy.
"We have to find a way out quickly," Zhang Hao said. His voice was tired but still full of determination.
They walked forward cautiously. The ground beneath their feet was extremely slippery and they could easily fall if they weren't careful. Every step they took was like dancing with unknown danger.
As they walked, they heard the sound of gurgling water. Following the sound, they discovered an underground river. The water rushed relentlessly, making a tremendous noise. The current was swift, and the waves crashing against the banks seemed to demonstrate its ferocity.
"The river is flowing so fast, how can we cross it?" The herbalist looked troubled. He looked at the turbulent river and his legs began to tremble involuntarily.
Just as they were pondering their strategy, a huge splash suddenly erupted in the river, and a gigantic monster poked its head out of the water. The monster had sharp fangs, and its eyes, the size of lanterns, shone with a ferocious light. Its body was covered in scales, which shimmered eerily in the dim light.
"Oh no! It's a water monster!" Zhang Hao exclaimed. His heartbeat instantly accelerated, and he unconsciously clenched the sword in his hand.
The water monster opened its mouth and lunged at them. Everyone fled in all directions. Zhang Hao turned and ran in the opposite direction. His steps stumbled slightly on the slippery ground, but he continued to run desperately.
The woman cast a spell, attempting to block the monster's attack. A beam of light shot out from her magic wand and struck the monster. The monster was only slightly startled, then continued its pursuit.
The old man dragged the little girl along, running desperately. His breathing became more and more rapid, and his steps became heavier.
The herbalist panicked and fell to the ground. The water monster was approaching him, about to swallow him up. He opened his eyes wide in fear and shouted, "Help!"
At this critical moment, Zhang Hao discovered a cave and shouted, "Quick, run here!"
Everyone ran towards the cave, with the water monster chasing them closely. They rushed into the cave, and Zhang Hao looked back. The huge body of the water monster lingered at the cave entrance for a while, and finally left.
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief and collapsed to the ground.
"What the hell is this place? Can we get out?" the woman asked desperately.
Zhang Hao was silent for a moment, "As long as we don't give up, there will be hope."
A damp smell filled the cave, and darkness enveloped them. The road ahead was filled with unknowns and difficulties...
