Rise of the Otherworld.

Chapter 727 Misty Valley (3)

They moved cautiously through the valley, each step fraught with unknown danger. The fog was so thick it was nearly impossible to see the path, forcing them to grope their way forward. The fog seemed to have life, swirling and swirling, gradually engulfing them.

Zhang Hao walked in front, sword gripped tightly in his hand, ready to respond to any situation. "Everyone, follow closely. Don't get separated." His voice was muffled in the fog, carrying a hint of suppressed tension. His eyes were focused and alert, and he carefully tested the ground with each step, fearing any traps.

The little girl clutched the woman's hand tightly, a hint of fear in her eyes. Her hands were sweaty and trembling with nervousness. The woman whispered, "Don't be afraid, we're here." Her voice was gentle yet firm, trying to give the little girl a sense of security. But her own heartbeat was also rapidly accelerating, and beads of sweat were beading on her forehead.

The old man's steps were slow but steady, the staff in his hand occasionally emitting a faint light, trying to dispel some of the fog. His gaze was deep and solemn, as he pondered how to lead everyone out of this fog. Every wave of his staff carried his desire for survival and his responsibility to everyone.

The herbalist looked around, muttering, "There's something sinister about this place; it makes me cringe." His voice trembled, and his legs felt weak. But he followed closely behind the others, unwilling to fall behind.

The black-robed figure remained silent, his figure looming in the mist. His aura was reserved, like a lurker in the darkness, always ready to deliver a fatal blow.

Suddenly, a chilly wind blew by, bringing with it a pungent smell that was like a mixture of rotting corpses and blood, making one nauseated.

"Be careful!" Zhang Hao stopped in his tracks alertly. His body tensed instantly, his sword held across his body.

At this moment, a strange sound came from the fog, like the roar of some creature. The sound was low and hoarse, like a roar from hell, which made people shudder.

Everyone suddenly tensed up, standing in a circle with their backs to each other. Their breathing became rapid, and their heartbeats were clearly audible in the silent valley.

"What the hell is that?" the woman's voice trembled. She searched the fog, trying to find the source of the sound.

Before they could see clearly, a massive figure burst out from the mist. It was a massive monster, resembling a tiger but with a pair of enormous wings. Green flames spewed from its mouth. Its eyes flashed blood-red, and its sharp teeth looked particularly ferocious in the flames.

"Not good! Get ready for battle!" Zhang Hao shouted, charging towards the monster first. His figure flashed through the mist like a flash of lightning, his sword slashing at the monster with the force of a gust of wind.

The sword collided with the monster's claws, splashing dazzling sparks. Zhang Hao felt a huge force coming from the sword, shaking his arm numb.

The woman cast a spell, sending beams of light shooting towards the monster. Like meteors, the light streaked through the mist, illuminating the monster's body. But the monster merely shuddered, then continued its charge towards the crowd.

The old man waved his staff, summoning a gust of wind in an attempt to stop the monster's attack. The wind howled, colliding with the flames spewed by the monster, making a sizzling sound.

The herbalist mustered up his courage, took some herbs from his basket, and threw them at the monster. The moment the herbs touched the monster, they emitted a pungent odor, which slowed the monster's movements slightly.

The black-robed man flashed and appeared behind the monster, launching a sneak attack. His dagger flashed with a cold light and stabbed at the monster's wings.

Under the siege, the monster grew even more ferocious. Its wings flapped, creating a powerful gust of air that unsteadied everyone. Rocks and dust on the ground were swept up, creating a chaotic scene.

"Everyone hold on!" Zhang Hao shouted. His voice was almost drowned out by the strong wind, but his eyes remained firm.

At this moment, the little girl suddenly discovered the monster's weakness. "It's on its belly, where the scales are weaker!" she shouted.

Upon hearing this, everyone changed the direction of their attack.

Zhang Hao took advantage of the moment when the monster was distracted by other people, rolled under the monster's abdomen, and stabbed upward with his sword.

The monster roared in pain...
