Rise of the Otherworld.

Chapter 677 Crisis in the Secret Chamber

The violent tremors within the chamber caused everyone to lose their balance and fall to the ground. The once solid ground now heaved like a turbulent sea, making it impossible to stand firm. Stones began to fall from overhead, varying in size, some as large as fists, others as massive as millstones. They tore off the ceiling, whistling with the wind, and crashed to the ground, sending up a cloud of dust. Huge cracks appeared in the walls, spreading rapidly like the marks of a demon's claws, as if threatening to tear the entire chamber apart.

"Oh no! This place is going to collapse!" Zhang Hao shouted. His voice was very small amid the tremors and roar of falling rocks, but it was filled with anxiety and tension.

The woman screamed in terror, her scream piercing the chaotic air. Her heart was filled with endless fear. In panic, she hugged Zhang Hao's arm tightly, as if it was her only lifeline in this doomsday scene.

The herbalist climbed up on his hands and knees, trying to find a safe corner. His eyes darted around, his face filled with panic.

While dodging the falling rocks, the old man shouted, "Everyone, run to the door!" Although his voice was a little trembling due to his old age, it was still firm and powerful, trying to guide everyone out of danger.

The black-robed figure quickly cast a spell, erecting a temporary protective barrier above the crowd. The barrier shimmered with a pale blue light, like a thin veil of light, attempting to block the relentless falling rocks. However, the tremors grew stronger, and the falling rocks grew larger. The barrier flickered unsteadily with each impact, threatening to break at any moment.

Zhang Hao dragged the woman along, struggling to move towards the door amidst the chaos. His steps were unsteady, each one filled with difficulty. The ground beneath his feet kept shaking, making it difficult for him to maintain his balance.

"Everyone be careful!" The black-robed man's voice was trembling. His magic power was rapidly depleting, and maintaining this protective barrier had almost exhausted him.

A huge rock crashed down on them. At the critical moment, Zhang Hao pushed the woman away, but was hit on the shoulder by the rock. The impact of the rock was so great that Zhang Hao felt a sharp pain, his vision went dark, and he almost fainted.

"Zhang Hao!" the woman cried heartbreakingly. Her voice was filled with despair and worry, and tears instantly blurred her eyes.

The herbalist ran over and helped Zhang Hao up with the woman. Blood was flowing from Zhang Hao's shoulder, staining his clothes red.

"I'm fine, let's go!" Zhang Hao gritted his teeth and said, enduring the severe pain. His face was distorted with pain, but his eyes remained firm, urging everyone to leave quickly.

They desperately ran amidst the constant falling rocks, each step fraught with danger. Rocks fell continuously around them, and the dust they kicked up made it almost impossible to see the road ahead. Finally, in the chaos, they escaped the secret room.

However, other parts of the ruins were also collapsing, and the passage became narrow and dangerous. They dodged left and right in the narrow passage, with stones falling from their heads and rubble flying from the walls.

"This isn't going to work. We need to find a safe place to hide!" the old man shouted, his voice breathless from running and fear.

Just then, they discovered a small room hidden in a corner and rushed in. The room was filled with thick dust, which made them cough continuously.

"I hope this place can hold up," the herbalist gasped, his eyes filled with anticipation and prayer.

However, the sound of the collapse outside continued, and every tremor made their hearts tremble. Tiny cracks began to appear on the walls of the room, and dust continued to fall from the ceiling.

The woman snuggled up to Zhang Hao and asked, "Will we die here?" Her voice was filled with tears and her body was shaking.

Zhang Hao hugged her with his uninjured arm and said, "Don't be afraid, we will definitely survive." His eyes were firm, trying to bring a little comfort to the woman.

The old man sat on the ground, gasping for breath. "What secrets does this ruin hide? Why did it suddenly collapse?"

The man in black robe walked to the door and observed the situation outside. "I don't know, but we must find a way out."

As time passed, the atmosphere in the room grew increasingly tense and oppressive. They didn't know if the room would collapse in the next moment, nor did they know if they could escape the ruins alive...
