Rise of the Otherworld.

Chapter 630: Dangers Surround You (8)

After successfully defeating the huge monster, before everyone had time to catch their breath, they heard even more intense roars coming from the front.

Zhang Hao struggled to his feet, gripping his sword tightly, his eyes gleaming with determination. "Everyone, brace yourself and prepare for the new challenge!" he shouted, his voice echoing through the narrow passage with undeniable resolve. His clothes were already tattered, and the wounds on his body were still bleeding, but his posture remained upright, like an unshakable mountain.

The woman's face was pale, but she still managed to stand up, gripping her dagger tightly. Her eyes, though filled with fear, were also filled with a desire for survival and trust in her companions. "Okay, we'll go together!" Her voice was trembling, but full of strength.

The black-robed man panted heavily, the light on his staff dimming, but he forced himself to stay awake. Beads of sweat covered his forehead, trickling down his cheeks and onto the ground. "Let's fight!" he gritted his teeth, his eyes alight with renewed fighting spirit.

The herbalist and the old man also prepared for battle. The herbalist pulled some herbs from his backpack, ready to use at a critical moment. The old man clasped his hands together and muttered something, as if praying for everyone.

As they continued forward, the road became increasingly narrow, and a black liquid began to seep from the walls on both sides, emitting a pungent smell. The liquid flowed along the walls, gathering into black puddles on the ground, making a gurgling sound.

"What is this?" the herbalist couldn't help but ask, his voice full of disgust and confusion.

Before anyone could answer, a group of ghostly shadows leaped out from the darkness. Like ghosts, they were erratic and extremely fast.

Zhang Hao swung his sword without hesitation. A flash of sword light passed by, and the shadow let out a sharp cry. The sound was so harsh and unpleasant that it seemed to penetrate a person's soul.

The woman cast a spell, illuminating the surrounding darkness and temporarily forcing back some of the shadows. Her spell was like a bright star, radiating a dazzling light in the darkness.

However, the shadows were numerous and attacked them one after another. They came like a tide, making it difficult to cope with them.

The black-robed man continued to cast spells, his body trembling from the excessive consumption of his magic power. Every time he cast a spell, his face grew paler.

"This is not a solution!" the old man shouted, his voice full of anxiety.

At this moment, Zhang Hao discovered that the shadows' weakness seemed to be their heads. "Attack their heads!" Zhang Hao shouted, his voice remarkably clear amidst the chaos.

Everyone concentrated their efforts on attacking the shadow's head, and for a moment the shadow's attacks slowed down. Every time an attack hit the shadow's head, a cloud of black smoke would rise, and the shadow would dissipate.

But just when they thought the situation was improving, the ground suddenly began to shake violently, and a huge python emerged from the ground. The python's body was as thick as a tree trunk, and its scales shone with a cold light.

The python opened its bloody mouth and swallowed several shadows in one gulp. Its eyes were like two huge lanterns, flashing with fierce light.

Everyone looked at the giant python in horror, their hearts filled with despair. Its aura was so powerful and terrifying that it made people feel unable to resist.

The python locked its gaze on them and swam towards them swiftly, leaving deep marks on the ground wherever it passed.

Zhang Hao gritted his teeth and said, "Don't be afraid, let's go together!" He rushed towards the python first, and slashed the python's body fiercely with the sword in his hand.

The woman followed closely behind and stabbed the python's eyes with her dagger.

The man in black robe cast his last powerful spell, and a flame rushed towards the python.

The herbalists threw the herbs in their hands at the python, hoping that they would have some effect.

The old man kept casting defensive spells for everyone and chanting incantations loudly.

The battle was incredibly difficult, every moment fraught with life-or-death danger. The python's attacks were incredibly ferocious, capable of sending a person flying with a single swing of its tail. Its teeth and claws were incredibly sharp, and the slightest bit of carelessness could easily lead to injury.

Zhang Hao was hit by the python's tail and his body hit the wall hard. He felt a black screen before his eyes and almost fainted. But he endured the pain, stood up again and continued to fight.

The woman's arm was bitten by the python and blood was flowing, but she still gritted her teeth and did not give up the attack.

The black-robed man's magic power was almost exhausted, but he still tried his best to release the last bit of magical power.

While dodging the python's attacks, the herbalist kept looking for its weaknesses.

The old man's face turned extremely pale, but he still insisted on casting spells for everyone.

After the people's tenacious resistance, the python was finally seriously injured. Its movements began to slow down, and multiple wounds appeared on its body.

"Now is the time, everyone work harder!" Zhang Hao shouted.

Everyone worked together and launched a final attack on the python.

Finally, the python let out an unwilling roar and fell to the ground.

Everyone collapsed to the ground exhausted, gasping for breath.

"We...we did it..." the woman said weakly, with a relieved smile on her face.

However, before they could celebrate, an even more terrifying sound came from the depths of the passage...
