Rise of the Otherworld.

Chapter 417 Crisis Outside the Cave

Everyone walked cautiously out of the cave, their hearts filled with vigilance. They took every step with extreme caution, as if the slightest mistake would lead to an irretrievable doom.

When they stepped out of the cave, they were surrounded by a group of soldiers in black armor. Each of them was tall and strong, with stern faces, and the weapons in their hands gleamed coldly in the sunlight.

"Who are you? How dare you trespass into this forbidden area?" the leading soldier shouted, his eyes filled with ferocity. His voice was like thunder, echoing through the valley with unquestionable majesty.

Zhang Hao stepped forward and said, "We have no intention of offending you. We just encountered danger in the cave and came here by accident." His eyes were firm as he tried to explain their situation clearly.

"Nonsense! You can't just enter and exit the forbidden area at will! Arrest them all!" The leading soldier gave the order, and the soldiers raised their weapons and advanced on the crowd. Their steps were in perfect unison, their momentum fierce, like a black torrent.

Mo Ying snorted coldly, "It won't be that easy to catch us!" He brandished his sword and charged at the soldiers. His figure flashed like lightning, and he instantly engaged the foremost soldier. The clash of sword and armor resounded with a resounding sound, sparks flying everywhere.

Not to be outdone, Feng Wuhen cast a spell, sending beams of light towards the enemy. Like sharp swords, these beams pierced through the enemy's defenses, throwing the soldiers into disarray.

The woman and the other disciples also joined the battle. For a moment, shouts and cries of killing filled the air. Everyone gave their all, fighting for survival.

Zhang Hao charged through the crowd, his swordsmanship sharp, each strike capable of repelling several soldiers. His figure was ghostly, unpredictable. Every strike was filled with the determination to kill.

However, the enemy was numerous and well-trained, and they gradually fell into trouble. Their physical strength was rapidly depleted, and their movements became slow.

"This isn't going to work. We have to break out!" Zhang Hao shouted. There was a hint of anxiety in his voice, but more of a determination.

At this moment, a mysterious old man appeared above the battlefield. He was dressed in a white robe that fluttered in the wind, like an immortal descending from the earth.

"Stop it!" The old man's voice was like a huge bell, making everyone's ears buzz. The voice contained a powerful internal force that was irresistible.

The soldiers stopped when they heard the old man's voice. They looked at him in awe, not daring to disobey him in the slightest.

The old man looked at Zhang Hao and others with a deep gaze: "You are quite capable to be able to come out of the forbidden area alive. But this is not a place you can enter casually, leave quickly!" Although his tone was flat, it carried an irresistible majesty.

Zhang Hao bowed and said, "Thank you, senior, but we have important matters to attend to and cannot leave just like that." His eyes were full of determination, and there was no intention of retreating.

The old man frowned and said, "If you don't know what's good for you, don't blame me for being rude!" As he spoke, he raised his hand and waved it, and a powerful force rushed towards everyone. The force was like a raging wind and huge waves, surging.

Zhang Hao and the others tried to resist, but the force was too strong and they were pushed back several steps. Everyone's face turned pale, and a trace of blood flowed from the corner of their mouth.

"Am I going to die here today?" a disciple said in despair. His voice was filled with fear and helplessness, and his eyes had lost their luster.

Zhang Hao gritted his teeth and said, "I will never give up until the last moment!" His voice was weak but full of strength. He wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and gripped the sword tightly again.

Just as everyone was in dire straits, a sudden bird cry echoed from the sky. Everyone looked up and saw a gigantic, mythical bird descend from the sky. Its feathers were a dazzling array, and its wingspan stretched several feet. Its eyes were like two glittering pearls, emitting a mysterious light.

The divine bird landed in front of everyone and chirped a few times at the old man. The old man's face changed slightly, as if he was quite afraid of the divine bird.

"Forget it. Today, for the sake of the divine bird, I will spare your lives. But don't do it again next time!" After the old man said this, he turned and left.

The soldiers also quickly evacuated following the old man, disappearing without a trace in the blink of an eye.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief and collapsed to the ground.

"Why did this divine bird save us?" Mo Ying asked puzzledly.

Zhang Hao looked at the divine bird, his heart filled with gratitude: "No matter what, let's get out of here first."

Led by the divine bird, the group left this troubled place. But they knew the road ahead was still full of unknowns and dangers...
