Rise of the Otherworld.
Chapter 410: Fierce Battle in the Cave
Zhang Hao and the others were startled by the sudden appearance of the massive monster, but they quickly calmed down and prepared to fight. Fear was no longer in their eyes, replaced by firm determination and fearless courage.
The monster's body was covered in hard scales, each one gleaming with a cold light, as if forged from the strongest metal. Its body was as massive as a mountain, and its thick limbs made the ground tremble with every step, as if the entire cave would collapse under its pressure.
Zhang Hao rushed forward first, thrusting his sword towards the monster's leg. His movements were as swift as lightning, piercing the wind. However, the sword struck the scales with a resounding clang. The powerful recoil numbed his arm, and the sword bounced back.
Mo Ying took the opportunity to circle behind the monster, his form elusive and ghostly. He tried to strike its weak spot, but the monster reacted quickly, as if it had eyes on its back. Its thick, powerful tail swung with a whirring sound, and Mo Ying was unable to dodge. He was sent flying, slamming heavily against the cave wall, and couldn't help but spit out a mouthful of blood as he fell.
Feng Wuhen endured the pain, a flicker of determination in his eyes. He unleashed his skills, forming seals with his hands. A beam of light shot from his palms, piercing the monster's eyes. The monster, in pain, roared angrily, its sound echoing through the cave, making everyone's ears ring.
Not to be outdone, the woman wielded her dagger, twinkling like stars. Her petite and nimble figure weaved between the monster's legs, stabbing at its belly. But the monster's skin was too tough, and the dagger could only leave a shallow mark.
Everyone used their own methods to fight the monster to the death. Every attack was accompanied by a roar, and every evasion was full of thrills.
The monster grew increasingly frantic, opening its bloody maw and spewing out a stream of black flames. The flames were so intense that they seemed to be able to reduce everything to ashes.
"Be careful!" Zhang Hao shouted, his voice sounding particularly urgent amid the roar of the flames.
Everyone quickly dodged. Wherever the flames passed, the rocks instantly turned to ash, leaving behind a charred expanse. A pungent smell and billowing smoke filled the air, making the already dim cave even more difficult to see.
As the battle entered its fiercest stage, Zhang Hao and the others' physical strength was rapidly depleted. Their movements gradually became slower and their breathing became heavier, but no one gave up, still gritting their teeth and persevering.
"This won't work. We have to find its fatal weakness!" Zhang Hao shouted. His voice was a little hoarse from fatigue, but still full of power.
At this moment, the woman discovered that there was a thinner scale on the monster's neck. The color of that scale was slightly lighter than the rest, and it was faintly visible in the firelight.
"Attack its neck!" the woman shouted, her voice shrill with excitement.
Zhang Hao's eyes flickered with hope as he heard this. He took a deep breath, mustered his remaining strength, and soared into the air like a swift eagle. With all his might, he thrust his sword into the monster's neck.
The monster struggled, trying to break free. It twisted its body wildly, and rocks in the cave fell one after another, as if the end of the world had come.
But everyone worked together and continued to attack. Mo Ying rushed forward again, stabbing the monster's wounds with his sword; Feng Wuhen also forced himself to emit rays of light, disrupting the monster's movements; the woman looked for opportunities to cause some minor damage to the monster.
Finally, the monster collapsed to the ground, motionless. Its massive body fell with a dull thud that shook the entire cave.
"Finally solved!" A disciple collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath. His face was covered in sweat, dust, and blood, making him look miserable.
Zhang Hao also breathed a sigh of relief. His body was shaky, but he still managed to stand. "Everyone, take a break and recover your strength." His voice was weak but with a hint of relief.
However, before they could recover, a strange sound came from the depths of the cave. The sound was like a low roar, or heavy breathing, and it seemed particularly eerie and terrifying in the silent cave.
"What...what is this?" a disciple said in horror, his voice trembling.
Zhang Hao frowned, "No matter what it is, we must deal with it carefully."
Everyone's nerves were tense again, and the mood that had just relaxed was instantly replaced by fear and tension...
