The President's Tender Trap

Chapter 101 Out of Love

As night fell, the city lights came on, illuminating every detail of the impending wedding. Su Wan stood at the wedding preparations, witnessing a bustling scene as friends and family made final preparations for the wedding. Yet, despite the apparent orderliness of her surroundings, Su Wan felt a surge of unease within her.

She clutched a bouquet of freshly picked flowers, but her thoughts drifted to the secret Uncle Li had revealed that day. The shadowy past and complicated family relationships weighed like an invisible mountain on her heart, preventing her from focusing on wedding preparations. She tried to smile, to savor the impending happiness, but she couldn't shake the shadow.

"Su Wan, come here and help me put the flowers here!" Xiaoyu's voice interrupted her thoughts. Su Wan came back to her senses, hurried over, and tried to concentrate on the work at hand.

"Okay, I'll be right there!" She forced a smile, trying to appear positive. But the irritability and anxiety in her heart were always there, making her feel extremely exhausted.

As time passed, wedding preparations gradually drew to a close. The laughter and well wishes of family and friends mingled, and the atmosphere, which should have been joyful, felt suffocating. She constantly checked every detail, fearing she'd missed anything, but the anxiety and uneasiness within her heart wouldn't go away.

"Are you okay?" Lu Ming walked over and looked at her with concern, his brows slightly furrowed, obviously noticing her mood change.

"It's okay, I'm just thinking about some details." Su Wan forced a smile, trying to hide her inner struggle.

"You look nervous. Don't push yourself too hard." Lu Ming frowned, worry in his eyes. "Tomorrow is our big day. We should be happy!"

"I know." Su Wan replied in a low voice, but her heart grew heavier. She knew Lu Ming's concern was out of love, but right now, she least wanted to be disturbed.

"If there's anything I can help you with, just tell me." Lu Ming extended his hand to her, trying to make her feel his support.

Su Wan nodded. Although she was grateful, she also felt a sense of helplessness. She knew that Lu Ming's concern was well-intentioned, but it also invisibly increased her pressure. She didn't want him to worry, and she didn't want the atmosphere at the wedding to become tense.

"I'm just wondering if there's anything missing from tomorrow's wedding process." Su Wan tried to adjust her tone and make herself sound more relaxed.

"You've done a great job. Everyone is excited about your wedding. Don't be too hard on yourself." Lu Ming said, his eyes revealing determination and tenderness.

"Thank you, Lu Ming." Su Wan felt a surge of warmth in her heart, but it was soon swallowed by anxiety. She knew how the secret she was facing would affect her and Lu Ming's future, and how she would hide these concerns on her wedding day.

As the night deepened, the wedding scene gradually quieted down. Su Wan returned home, Uncle Li's words still lingering in her mind. She sat on the edge of her bed, clutching the wedding planner, her eyes empty. She flipped through each page, unable to let go of the shadow in her heart.

"Should I really tell Lu Ming?" she asked herself repeatedly. Secrets were like a double-edged sword. If she told Lu Ming, it might shock him and even affect their relationship. But if she chose to hide it, the burden inside her would suffocate her, making her unable to breathe.

Her thoughts surged like a tide, as she recalled every moment with Lu Ming. Every smile they exchanged, every moment they held hands, seemed to remind her: their love was so strong, able to withstand all storms and challenges. But this secret, like an insurmountable chasm, stood between them.

"What should I do?" Su Wan muttered to herself, her fingers gently stroking the cover of the wedding planner, her heart full of entanglements. She hoped to put this secret behind her and enjoy the upcoming wedding and the happy future with Lu Ming.

Just then, her phone suddenly rang, interrupting her thoughts. Su Wan saw that it was a message from Lin Xiaoyu, and she was touched. "Su Wan, tomorrow is a big day for you and Lu Ming. Don't think too much, just relax! We are all here with you and support you!"

Seeing the heartwarming message, Su Wan couldn't help but burst into tears. She knew she wasn't alone. With so many friends and family supporting her, she should bravely face the challenges ahead.

"I'll try my best," she muttered to herself, wiping away her tears and resolving not to be bothered by worries. Tomorrow's wedding would be a testament to her and Lu Ming's love, and a celebration for her and her family and friends.

Late at night, Su Wan lay in bed, trying to relax. She imagined tomorrow's wedding, the happy moment of walking hand in hand with Lu Ming into the wedding hall. Although she still felt a little uneasy, her anticipation for the future gradually dispelled the haze in her heart.

"A new life will begin tomorrow," she whispered to herself, a glint of determination in her eyes. No matter how uncertain the road ahead was, she would face it bravely and cherish the happiness in front of her.

When Su Wan finally closed her eyes in the night and fell asleep with hope and courage, she knew that tomorrow would be a brand new beginning. No matter what the secret was, she would do her utmost to defend the love and trust between herself and Lu Ming.

On the morning of the wedding, the sun was bright, the sky was azure, and the air was filled with the fragrance of flowers and the scent of happiness. Su Wan stood at the wedding venue, gazing at the meticulously decorated venue, her heart filled with anticipation and emotion. White veils swayed gently in the breeze, flowers surrounded every corner, and as family and friends arrived one after another, the atmosphere was warm and festive, seemingly permeating every cell.

"Su Wan, come and try this cake!" Lin Xiaoyu waved excitedly, pointing to the dessert table not far away. Su Wan walked over with a smile, her mood becoming increasingly cheerful. Her wedding was finally about to begin, and all her preparations were finally fulfilled at this moment.

"This cake looks so beautiful!" Su Wan exclaimed, with a happy light in her eyes.

"Of course! And it tastes absolutely delicious!" Xiaoyu said proudly, then took Su Wan's hand and excitedly introduced it to other friends.

As time passed, friends and family gathered at the wedding venue, laughter and joy filling the air. Su Wan's parents busied themselves with the wedding, their faces beaming with joy, their pride in their daughter evident. Everything seemed so perfect, as if composing the most beautiful melody for Su Wan and Lu Ming's love affair.
