Demonic Dao Fanfiction: Protecting You from Worries for a Lifetime
Chapter 26 Three Flavors of True Fire
Wei Ying's heart was filled with excitement and anticipation. He had always harbored a deep curiosity about the Strange Fire. Strange Fire, that was a treasure coveted by cultivators. He eagerly inquired, "Uncle, where exactly is the Strange Fire?" He asked coquettishly, rocking Chaoyang in his arms.
"Aying, if you keep shaking, your uncle will faint." Chaoyang said,
“Uncle.” Upon hearing this, Wei Ying quickly let go of his hand. “Uncle, you can’t go back on your word!”
Chaoyang looked at Wei Ying's expectant eyes and couldn't help but smile. He gently patted Wei Ying's shoulder and said, "Don't worry. When has your uncle ever lied to you? The strange fire is in this space."
Chaoyang waved his hand gently, and ripples appeared in space, followed by a crack that slowly opened up. Wei Ying stared at the mysterious crack with wide eyes, his heart filled with curiosity and anticipation.
"Aying, this is the space where the strange fire is located." Chaoyang said calmly, "However, you have to rely on yourself to tame this strange fire. Your uncle can't help you."
Wei Ying nodded, his eyes gleaming with determination. "Uncle, I understand. I will be careful and cautious and will not let you down."
Chaoyang nodded in satisfaction and led Wei Ying into the mysterious space. Within, there was complete silence, as if time had stood still. Wei Ying looked around, only to see a vast expanse of empty space, with shimmering balls of fire floating in a strange light.
"Uncle, are these the strange fires?" Wei Ying couldn't help but ask.
"Yes, these are the strange fires, the Samadhi True Fires." Chaoyang said slowly, "Yan, I brought Ah Ying here."
The sound of the rising sun echoed in the space, as if awakening a dormant flame. The fireballs began to tremble slightly, emitting an even brighter light.
Wei Ying held his breath, sensing a powerful force permeating the air. He knew in his heart that these strange flames were no ordinary flames; they contained the purest energy in the universe.
"Uncle, how can I subdue these strange fires?" Wei Ying turned around and asked, his eyes full of desire for knowledge.
Chaoyang smiled faintly, his eyes gleaming with a deep light. "Aying, reclaiming the strange fire is no easy task. You need to communicate with it with your mind, letting it feel your sincerity and determination. Only when the strange fire recognizes you can you truly use it as your own."
The Samadhi True Fire swirled around Wei Ying, then said, "This is little Ah Ying! Top-grade fire spiritual roots, Golden Core Stage at the age of eight, not bad!!!"
Wei Ying was shocked when he heard the strange fire speak, "Uncle, he can speak?"
Chaoyang smiled and nodded: "Yes, Aying, strange fire is not an ordinary flame. It can also have its own spiritual intelligence after cultivation."
Wei Ying's eyes flashed with excitement. He took a deep breath, tried to calm himself, and then slowly walked towards the Samadhi True Fire. He silently recited his uncle's teachings in his heart, trying to communicate with the strange fire with his mind.
"Samadhi True Fire, my name is Wei Ying, and I am your uncle's nephew. I am willing to accept your test with the most sincere heart, and hope to gain your approval." Wei Ying's voice echoed in the space, with a hint of firmness and sincerity.
The Samadhi True Fire flickered faintly before Wei Ying, as if scrutinizing the young cultivator. After a moment, it slowly spoke, "Wei Ying, I won't let you off easy just because of your uncle. To become my master, you must prove your strength and resolve."
Wei Ying's heart trembled upon hearing this. He knew this would be a test, a test of his strength and will. He took a deep breath and immersed himself completely in the scene before him.
"Samadhi True Fire, I understand what you mean." Wei Ying said firmly, "I will do my best to demonstrate my strength."
As soon as he finished speaking, Chaoyang was kicked out of this space. As soon as Chaoyang left, Wei Ying felt a powerful heat wave coming towards him. The fireball of the Three Six Flames True Fire began to spin violently, releasing an even more blazing light. The temperature of the entire space instantly increased by a hundred times.
Wei Ying did not flinch, he held the Blue Moon Sword tightly in his hand.
The tip of the sword shone with a faint blue light, as if responding to the master's will. He took a deep breath and injected the spiritual energy in his body into the sword. A ball of ice-blue light gradually condensed on the tip of the sword.
"Samadhi True Fire, I won't let you down!" Wei Ying shouted and swung his sword at the blazing fireball.
The sword light collided with the fireball, unleashing a violent roar. The temperature within the space rose again, and Wei Ying felt a scorching air current rushing towards him. However, he remained undaunted and continued to wield the Blue Moon Sword, engaging in a fierce battle with the Samadhi True Fire.
Every time the sword's light collided with the fireball, Wei Ying's control over the divine sword grew more and more masterful. He gradually felt the water power contained in the sword and the fiery power of the fireball blending together, forming a wonderful balance.
"Uncle, I understand!" Wei Ying's mind suddenly became clear. He finally understood the true meaning of his uncle's words about communicating with the weapon. He no longer simply swung the sword, but instead allowed his mind and spirit to merge into one, making the sword become a part of his body.
As Wei Ying's control over the Blue Moon Sword grew more proficient, the fireball of Samadhi True Fire gradually weakened. Finally, with a single, fierce blow from the sword, the fireball completely dissipated, transforming into wisps of flame that slowly merged into Wei Ying's body.
"Wei Ying, you have passed my test, but if you want to regain my body, it depends on your own will." He finished speaking.
Wei Ying's entire body turned red, as if his blood was boiling and ready to explode at any moment. Wei Ying felt the pain of being burned by the strange fire. The strange fire within him burned fiercely, as if it wanted to devour him whole. The pain almost made Wei Ying lose his mind! However, amidst this intense burning, he felt an unprecedented power surging through his meridians, as if a giant dragon was rolling within him, filled with endless energy and vitality.
Wei Ying took a deep breath, quickly sat down cross-legged, and began to regulate his breathing. He diligently guided this power, allowing it to merge with his own spiritual energy. Wei Ying exerted all his strength, mobilizing all his spiritual energy to its fullest extent. Enduring the pain, he carefully guided the strange fire, allowing it to flow slowly through his meridians, interweaving with his spiritual energy.
As time went by, beads of sweat gradually seeped out of Wei Ying's forehead, but he did not give up. He knew that only through this tempering could he truly control the strange fire and use it for his own benefit.
The strange fire moved within Wei Ying's body, as if searching for a suitable place to reside. Sometimes it was as hot as lava, sometimes as gentle as a spring breeze, constantly testing Wei Ying's will and physical endurance.
Finally, thanks to Wei Ying's unremitting efforts, the flames of the Samadhi True Fire within him gradually grew docile, as if they had found a new home. Wei Ying felt a warmth coursing through him, and the initial pain gradually subsided, replaced by an unprecedented sense of strength. He felt his cultivation rapidly improving, but Wei Ying didn't stand up immediately, instead continuing his practice.
Outside the space, Chaoyang waited anxiously, his heart filled with uneasiness and worry. He knew that this step was inevitable if he wanted to successfully recover the strange fire, but he still couldn't suppress his inner worry.
After all, A-Ying is only eight years old. Facing such a heavy responsibility at such a young age, how could one not feel pity and worry? Chaoyang's heart was filled with conflicting thoughts. He hoped A-Ying would make it through this ordeal, yet he was also afraid of the unforeseen dangers and challenges he would encounter along the way. Chaoyang's heart was filled with love and concern for A-Ying, and he silently prayed for A-Ying to be safe and sound and to make it through this ordeal.
In this way, more than a month passed quietly.
Chaoyang finally couldn't contain his anxiety and decided to enter the space to find out what was going on. He took a deep breath, formed seals with his hands, and chanted a spell. The barrier of space slowly opened before him.
The moment he stepped into the space, the sight before him both surprised and delighted him. Wei Ying sat cross-legged on the ground, surrounded by a faint glow of fire, emanating a mysterious and powerful aura.
Chaoyang witnessed Wei Ying's success and noticed that he was immersed in his training. Chaoyang suppressed his excitement and silently watched from the side. He knew that Wei Ying was at a critical juncture in his training, and any external interruption could disturb his mind and even cause his training to fail.
Chaoyang's gaze was fixed on Wei Ying, his eyes revealing immense pride and satisfaction. He recalled the difficult journey of his own cultivation back then. Compared to Wei Ying's, his own path seemed much easier.
Time passed unnoticed, and Wei Ying's training gradually drew to a close. Chaoyang saw the flames around Wei Ying gradually recede, and finally disappeared completely, replaced by a deeper and more restrained power.
Wei Ying slowly opened his eyes, a glint of joy in them. When he saw Chao Yang standing beside him, he immediately stood up, appearing somewhat excited. He turned to his uncle and said with a hint of pride, "Uncle, look, Ah Ying did it!" Immediately, he conjured a flame from his hand and held it out to Chao Yang, showing it to his uncle.
"Yes, uncle saw it. Ah Ying is awesome." Uncle responded with a smile, his eyes full of admiration. Then, he asked with concern, "Ah Ying, are you hurt? Let uncle check it out."
Wei Ying smiled and shook his head, a determined glint in his eyes. "I'm fine, uncle. This training has benefited me greatly."
Chaoyang nodded, a hint of relief in his eyes. "Aying, you are truly a genius. However, mastering the strange fire is only the first step. Next, you need to learn how to wield it and make it your effective assistant in battle."
Wei Ying nodded earnestly, understanding that every word his uncle said was for his own good. He clenched his fists, his heart filled with determination. "I will try my best, uncle. I won't let you down."
Chaoyang patted Wei Ying's shoulder and encouraged him, "Aying, you've done very well."
"Hey! How long are you two going to talk?" Samadhi True Fire suddenly appeared from the side, interrupting their conversation. Its fiery red body leaped in the air, transforming into a delicate and cute little doll, looking a little naughty.
"Samadhi True Fire, why are you here to join in the fun?" Chaoyang asked with a smile.
"It's been so long since I went out to take a look. I finally recognized my master, so of course I want to go out and take a look!"
Samadhi True Fire's doll form somersaulted in the air, looking somewhat anxious. "Don't you humans always say, 'New master, new atmosphere'? I don't want to stay in this space forever."
Wei Ying couldn't help but smile as he watched the lively Samadhi True Fire. He understood that although this strange fire had once caused him great pain, it had now become a part of his strength. He turned to Chao Yang, his eyes gleaming with determination, "Uncle, I want to take Yan out for a look."
"Go! Be careful." Chaoyang nodded.
Seeing his uncle agreed, Wei Ying jumped for joy. He turned around and said to Samadhi True Fire, "Yan, let's go! I haven't played in my uncle's space yet?" The doll form of Samadhi True Fire was jumping happily in the air, as if it couldn't wait to explore the outside world.
Wei Ying, holding the doll form of the Three Flames, stepped out of the threshold of space. Sunlight shone upon them, as if covering them with a golden coat. Wei Ying took a deep breath of fresh air, his heart filled with anticipation and excitement.
"Yan, where should we go to play first?" Wei Ying turned around and asked, with childlike innocence in his eyes.
"Hmm..." Samadhi True Fire's doll form tilted its head in thought, then its eyes lit up, "Why don't we go explore the forest? I heard there are many magical creatures and plants there."
"Good idea!" Wei Ying nodded excitedly, and then walked towards the forest with the Samadhi True Fire.
In the forest, towering trees towered, and sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting dappled shadows. Wei Ying and Samadhi True Fire shuttled through the woods, occasionally seeing all sorts of bizarre creatures flit by. Wei Ying was filled with curiosity, while Samadhi True Fire seemed particularly excited, leaping through the air as if greeting these creatures.
"Look over there!" Wei Ying suddenly pointed ahead and shouted excitedly.
Samadhi True Fire followed Wei Ying's finger and saw a giant butterfly dancing, its wings gleaming with colorful light. A hint of surprise flashed in Samadhi True Fire's eyes, and it flew quickly towards the butterfly, as if wanting to get close to it.
Wei Ying watched the Samadhi True Fire playing with the butterfly, and a warm feeling welled up in his heart.
"Aying, are you here?" Suddenly, a familiar voice came from a distance.
Wei Ying turned around and saw that it was his uncle Chaoyang. He quickly ran over and said with a smile, "Uncle, why are you here?"
Chaoyang smiled and patted Wei Ying's head, his eyes full of care and concern. "I was worried about you, so I came to see you. It seems that you are having a great time here."
"Yes, uncle, I'm really happy." Wei Ying replied with a smile, his eyes shining with happiness.
Chaoyang looked at Wei Ying and the Samadhi True Fire, his heart filled with relief. "Aying, let's go out." Chaoyang said with a smile.
Wei Ying nodded, holding the doll form of Samadhi True Fire, and left the space with his uncle.
As soon as Yan came out of the space, he wanted to run away, but Chaoyang beside him quickly caught him.
"Yan, don't be anxious, listen to me first." Chaoyang said seriously.
Samadhi True Fire's doll form stopped, a hint of doubt flashing in its eyes. "What's wrong, uncle?"
"This is a different dimension. You can't reveal any differences, otherwise it will cause unnecessary trouble." Chaoyang explained, "You must learn to control your power and don't show it easily, especially in front of outsiders."
Samadhi True Fire nodded, looking somewhat obedient, "I understand, uncle. I will pay attention."
Wei Ying looked at the Samadhi True Fire, and a sense of responsibility surged in his heart. He knew that as the new master of the Samadhi True Fire, he must protect it and learn how to properly wield its power.
"Aying, you must remember this too." Chaoyang turned to Wei Ying, his tone tinged with seriousness. "Although the power of the strange fire is formidable, it must be used with caution. You must always remain calm and not be deceived by power."
Wei Ying nodded seriously, "Uncle, I understand. I will always be vigilant and will not let the power go to my head."
Chaoyang nodded in satisfaction, then released the doll form of Samadhi True Fire. "Go."
Wei Ying and Samadhi True Fire responded cheerfully, then walked deeper into the forest. The sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting a golden veil over them.
"Yan is so old, why is he still acting like a child?" Chaoyang shook his head and watched the two of them skipping away. He didn't return to the house until their figures disappeared from his sight. He still had herbs to process. What a tiring life!
