The gate of the Beast God Temple was broken.

It's not dilapidated or broken, but it's shattered into pieces as if it has been run over so hard that not even a scrap is left.

When Xingyu stepped onto this land, every step felt like walking on the tip of a knife, slicing his heart with each step.

The once sacred and glorious atmosphere was completely submerged by thick filth, and the air was filled with the stench of decay, making people want to vomit.

In my memory, the fragrant cinnamon tree is now just a pile of charred dead branches, with fangs and claws bared, like the roar of a ghost.

The holy altar has been desecrated beyond recognition. The tilted stones and dark bloodstains are like ugly scars, deeply imprinted on this once sacred land.

blood.

All I could see was dried blood.

The dark color, like spilled ink, dyed every inch of land and every inch of broken walls.

Xingyu stood stiffly in the center of the hall, his fingertips trembling uncontrollably as he slowly stroked the hideous cracks on the wall.

The cracks, like distorted faces, silently accuse and scream.

The crimson glow of the Higanbana flower mark between his eyebrows flickered like a candle in the wind. His amber pupils suddenly shrank into dangerous needles.

“…I’m late.”

Those few short words seemed to be squeezed out from the depths of his throat, carrying with them a strong smell of blood and endless regret.

His white hair drooped weakly, lifted slightly by the wind, but it couldn't blow away the grief that surrounded him. He slowly knelt down, his slender fingers trembling as they touched the blood that had solidified into black on the ground.

Those are his compatriots, his family, his... responsibility.

Ice-cold energy, like a flood bursting through a dam, gushed out of his body frantically, carrying with it endless sadness and anger, covering layer by layer those traces of life that were once vibrant.

The temperature in the air suddenly dropped, and visible frost slowly spread, condensed, and grew on the bloodstains.

Ice crystals, like tears without temperature, gradually wrapped around the remaining blood, like a belated, icy funeral.

There was complete silence and a dead stillness.

The only sound was the faint spread of frost and a low whimper above the ruins.

Xingyu closed her eyes. Her shoulders tensed.

He heard it. He heard the screams of his compatriots echoing in his ears. He saw Tim's twisted face, that sinister grin. Black and purple energy eroded every inch of the Beast Temple, every life. A struggling figure in a pool of blood. The collapsed temple.

Pain, excruciating pain.

Outside the temple, Luo Xi stood at the bottom of the stairs. She didn't approach, didn't disturb him. She just stared at the lonely figure. His white hair was particularly glaring among the ruins.

She came to accompany him home, bringing the seven holy relics, to purify this holy land that had been defiled by evil thoughts.

"Are you okay?" Rosie finally broke the silence.

Xingyu slowly stood up, his back still as tall as a mountain.

He turned around, and the red spider lily mark on his forehead fully blossomed. "Xixi, can you lend me the holy object?"

Luo Xi nodded, walked forward and handed him the holy object.

"It would be better to use my wood-based abilities," she added, her hands glowing emerald green. "Life always triumphs over death."

Xingyu shook her head and took the relic. "This is my responsibility, not yours."

Rosie gripped his wrist firmly. "We're family, aren't we?"

Xingyu was slightly startled, and a hint of fluctuation flashed in his eyes.

The two stood before the polluted altar, the sacred objects resonating in their hands. The red spider lily on Xingyu's forehead blossomed with a blood-red glow, while Luo Qian's wood-based abilities transformed into countless emerald green energy threads, intertwining with the power of the Frost Soul Lamp and the Ring of Eternity.

"Let's start." Xingyu whispered.

Life-giving and purifying energy flowed from their fingers, spreading throughout the hall. Whenever it touched a contaminated area, the dark purple energy retreated and dissipated as if encountering a natural enemy.

Rosie felt waves of intense resistance. Those evil thoughts weren't powerless; they struggled, roared, trying to resist the cleansing.

"Such a strong resentment." Luo Qian gritted her teeth, sweat oozing from her forehead.

Xingyu formed seals with his hands, and the Higanbana mark shone brightly. "These are the evil thoughts of the Beast God that Tim attracted. They have become one with this land."

A flash of determination flashed in his eyes, and his aura surged. His ice energy formed runes, weaving in the air like a web, covering the entire hall.

"Beast God, in the name of the High Priest, I ask for your protection."

The sky suddenly darkened, and an ancient aura surged in from all directions. Rosie felt her breath catch, as if some gigantic being was watching her.

"It's coming." Xingyu whispered.

A crack appeared in the hall's roof, and a beam of golden light shot down, hitting the altar directly. The red spider lily between Xingyu's eyebrows resonated with it, and his entire body was enveloped by the golden light.

"The blessing of the Beast God..." Rosie exclaimed.

The golden light merged with the power of the holy object, forming an even more powerful purifying force. The polluted temple began to change. The black and purple energy was dispelled inch by inch, the cracks in the wall gradually healed, and the blood on the ground turned to dust and dissipated into the air.

Blood oozed from Xingyu's forehead, but he didn't reduce his purification efforts. Luo Qian saw that he had reached his limit and without hesitation increased the output of his wood power, forcibly sharing some of the purification pressure.

"Xixi, don't...it's too dangerous." Xingyu said with difficulty.

Luo Xi shook her head, the light in her hand growing brighter: "You don't have to bear it alone."

The power of the two intertwined, working together with the golden light to dispel the pollution bit by bit. The darkness before dawn is always the thickest. When the last wisp of black and purple energy was purified, the entire hall suddenly became bright.

A gust of wind blew, and the ruins returned to their original state. The charred flowers and trees bloomed again, and the cracks on the altar disappeared. The entire Beast Temple returned to its former sacredness and peace.

Xingyu's knees went weak and he fell to the ground. Luo Xi quickly supported him.

"We did it," she whispered.

Xingyu nodded slightly, his eyes sweeping over the reborn holy land, complex emotions surging in his eyes. He looked at Luo Qian, a rare hint of gratitude flashing in his amber pupils.

"Thank you, Sissi."

Rosie was about to respond when she felt a strange vibration coming from the altar. She turned and saw a rune appear in the center of the altar, emitting a gentle light.

"That is…?"

Surprise flashed in Xingyu's eyes: "The Beast God's response. This is a summoning rune, calling the people of the Beast God Temple to return."

Rosie thought of the priests who survived Tim's attack. Most of them were hiding everywhere, not daring to return to the polluted holy land.

"Will they come back?"

Xingyu slowly stood up and looked into the distance: "Yes. The Beast Temple will not perish like this."

The rune's light grew stronger, eventually transforming into a pillar of light that shot up into the sky, visible throughout the star region. This was a summons, a declaration—the purification of the Beast Temple was complete, and it had once again become a sacred place that protected life.

Luo Xi stood beside Xingyu, watching him straighten his back again, and a warm feeling welled up in her heart. No matter what, family members will always support each other.

"Let's go." Xingyu said softly.

Luo Qian nodded and turned to leave this reborn holy land. As she took a step forward, the Star Brain on her wrist suddenly vibrated, and a blue light flashed. A holographic image of Ling Yuan condensed in the air, his red eyes gleaming with a rare excitement.

"Xixi, are you back?" He asked hurriedly, his red eyes flashing with excitement. "I found a way to resurrect Lain."
