Transmigrating into the only holy female in the interstellar world, the orcs who have no descendants
Chapter 437 High Dimensional Civilization
Late at night in the research room, the cold light cast by the Star Brain poured down on Rosie's weary face like water. Her fingertips lightly touched the information on the Seven Sacred Relics suspended in mid-air, almost forgetting the pain in her body after the battle.
"This energy fluctuation pattern is too abnormal." Ling Yuan stood beside her, still exuding the aura of a battlefield. The light in his red eyes was sharper than usual. "Conventional algorithms can no longer analyze it."
"It seems like it's not just our technology that's lagging behind." Luo Qian rubbed her brow, trying to ease the dull pain. "You spent three years refining this algorithm."
Ling Yuan shook his head, his white hair swaying slightly with the movement: "Xixi, the key is that these holy objects are not just containers of power."
"Is there something I don't know?" Rosie suddenly felt irritated. She had discovered so much in the past few days, and the variables were so numerous, it felt like she had been thrust into a maze without any signposts.
Ling Yuan didn't respond immediately. His slender fingers moved swiftly across the Star Brain panel, and the energy patterns of the seven sacred artifacts intertwined in the air like some mysterious dance, ultimately forming a complex geometric pattern.
"Look here." Ling Yuan pointed to a node in the wave diagram. "When the Void Mirror and the Sea God's Heart approached each other, they didn't simply add their power, but tried to reconstruct something. Like..." He paused, "like a puzzle."
Luo Xi straightened up suddenly, her fatigue swept away. "You mean they were originally one?"
"They are likely fragments of some higher-dimensional creation." Ling Yuan's voice was rarely filled with uncertainty. "When they are completely integrated, they will restore the true form of that creation."
The sound of the door suddenly sliding open interrupted their conversation. Kyle strode in, the remaining energy traces on his armor emitting a faint glow in the dim room. He looked exhausted, but he still maintained an unyielding majesty.
"High-dimensional creation?" His eyes swept back and forth between Luo Xi and Ling Yuan, finally settling on Luo Xi. "You are discussing holy objects."
This wasn't a question, it was a statement. Rosie nodded silently.
"Lingyuan detected some strange energy patterns." She noticed the strange glint in Kyle's eyes. "What do you know?"
Kyle walked towards the Star Brain, his black armor making a slight metallic scraping sound as he moved. He was silent for a long time, as if struggling with his own memories.
"I've never told this to anyone." His voice seemed to come from the abyss. "I was able to return alive from that spatial rift, not just by luck."
Rosie's heartbeat suddenly accelerated. Kyle rarely talked about his experiences, especially the near-fatal space jump accident.
"While drifting in that endless darkness," Kyle's eyes became distant and unfamiliar, "I discovered a relic."
The air in the lab seemed to freeze. Luo Qian's breathing became cautious, and a myriad of thoughts flashed through Ling Yuan's red eyes.
"Those ruins... don't belong to any civilization we know of." A rare expression crossed Kyle's face—shock, awe, even a hint of fear. "The construction method, the materials used, the energy—all of it is beyond our comprehension. 'Civilizational fault' isn't enough to describe it."
Ling Yuan's eyes were sharp: "Did you gain an improvement in your spatial ability there?"
Kyle nodded. "It's more than just an improvement. The energy there is pure, raw spatial power, more fundamental than the spatial abilities we know of."
Rosie felt a shudder. Her fingers unconsciously touched the Void Mirror, and the cold touch suddenly became unfamiliar. The mirror trembled slightly under her fingertips, as if responding to her touch with life.
"What do you think...the Beast God..." Luo Xi asked tentatively.
"The Beast God is most likely not a god as we understand it, but a creature from a higher dimension." Kyle looked directly into Rosie's eyes. "And the limitations of interstellar space—our inability to break the speed of light, our inability to achieve true intergalactic teleportation—maybe these are seals deliberately set by a more advanced civilization."
Ling Yuan's red eyes narrowed slightly: "Why seal it?"
"I don't know, maybe..." Kellen paused, "They're using us as some kind of experimental observation subjects."
Luo Xi stood up and walked to the window. The night sky of Taoyuan Star shone through the energy barrier, and the stars twinkled. This familiar starry sky suddenly seemed strange and distant. It was like a snowy scene trapped in a glass ball, seemingly beautiful, but in reality, a trapped illusion.
"So we're just pets of higher-dimensional beings? Or perhaps—experimental subjects?" Rosie smiled, but the smile didn't reach her eyes. She caressed the Heart of Poseidon around her neck, feeling the vibrations of its resonance with the Mirror of the Void. "I thought that by escaping Earth, I could escape my controlled fate."
Kyle was silent for a moment: "Theoretically, any seal has its limits."
"Like any cage," Ling Yuan joined the conversation, a glint in his red eyes, "it has its weak points."
Rosie turned, her black hair gleaming in the starlight. "What are you implying?"
Ling Yuan tapped the edge of his star brain: "The energy pattern of the seven sacred objects is highly similar to the energy of the ruins described by Kyle."
"If it's really as you said," Luo Xi said, determination flashing in her eyes, "then what will happen after the seven sacred objects are completely integrated?"
Ling Yuan and Kyle exchanged a look.
"Maybe this seal will be broken." Ling Yuan said softly, "Or..."
"Attract the attention of those higher-dimensional creatures." Kyle added.
The room fell silent, and the atmosphere was somewhat depressing.
"It's like a fish in a fish tank suddenly breaking out of the bowl." Ling Yuan broke the silence, his red eyes flashing with a thoughtful glint, "Will the master be happy or angry?"
The room fell silent, the only sound lingering in the air was the faint hum of electricity flowing through the Star Brain's calculations. Rosie looked up at the dome of the laboratory, where a galaxy map was projected, countless stars twinkling in the darkness. The scene that had once reassured her now resembled a vast surveillance network.
After returning to her room, Rosie sat by the window, caressing the Heart of Poseidon, one of the Seven Sacred Relics. It glowed faintly in her palm, warm and comforting, yet concealed a power powerful enough to tear apart the walls of space.
A gentle knock on the door interrupted her thoughts. Xingyu walked in, his white hair gleaming silver in the moonlight, his amber pupils flickering in the darkness. He looked more nervous than usual, even a little... anxious? This was quite unusual for the usually calm and composed Xingyu.
"Sissi," he whispered, his voice even huskier than usual, "will you go somewhere with me?"
