Rosie looked up. Kyle's usually cold amber eyes were now filled with a wave she had never seen before. Kyle, the God of War, the iron-blooded marshal who single-handedly suppressed the chaotic star field, now had a flicker of fear in his eyes that she had never thought she would see on such a man's face.

"Losing you is not an option for me, Sissi." Kyle's Adam's apple rolled, and his voice was so low that it was almost inaudible. "Don't let me face that possibility."

These words were like a blunt knife, piercing the most vulnerable part of Rosie's heart. Her fingertips trembled slightly as she gently stroked Kyle's tense jaw, touching a trace of trembling beneath the hard shell.

"I'm sorry..." She bit her lip and whispered, guilt washing over her heart like a tide, "I was too impatient..."

"Let's look for it together." Kyle interrupted her, his voice undeniable. "This isn't a battle you have to fight alone."

Rosie fell silent. The Heart of Poseidon warmed slightly in her chest, as if rebuking her for her recklessness. Those withered plants and the secrets they held were indeed important, but compared to the fear of losing her to the man beside her, no secret was worth mentioning.

"You're always like this..." Kyle said suddenly after walking for a while, his voice low, "You've never changed since the day I met you."

Rosie looked at him quizzically.

"You're so fragile you'll break at the slightest touch, yet you always want to shoulder the heaviest burden." Kyle looked off into the distance, as if reminiscing. "I used to think that was your weakness, but now I understand it's your greatest strength."

These words coming out of Kyle's mouth were more touching than any sweet words. Rosie felt her eyes warm and buried her face in his chest to hide her loss of composure.

"But that doesn't mean you can risk yourself," Kyle added, his tone regaining some of his usual coldness. "Next time you do something like this, I'll lock you in your room."

Luo Xi couldn't help laughing: "You dare."

"Try it."

The two smiled at each other, and the tense atmosphere eased at that moment.

"Dad! Mom!"

Caesar's voice echoed from afar. A little boy came running over, breathless, his large amber eyes filled with worry. His face flushed crimson, his black hair disheveled by the wind; it was obvious he'd been running all the way here.

"Mom's fine." Rosie gave her son a reassuring smile, "Just a little tired."

Caesar's face wrinkled, his eyes darting back and forth between his parents, as if he had noticed something unusual. His eyes were so much like Kyle's, that sharp, all-seeing gaze, even in such a young child, was particularly evident.

"Let's go." Kyle said lightly, holding Rosie and turning to leave.

Caesar followed behind, his little hand tightly clutching the hem of his father's shirt. The three figures gradually disappeared into the twilight, leaving only the mysterious withered plant, swaying slightly in the night breeze.

Back at the house, Kyle carefully placed Rosie on the bed.

"I'll go find a doctor." He turned and was about to leave, but Rosie grabbed his sleeve.

"Don't go." Luo Xi said softly, "I just need to rest for a while."

Kyle frowned, his eyes fixed on the dim holy object on her chest: "What's wrong with that thing?"

Luo Xi looked down and sighed softly: "It's suppressed by some force. But don't worry, it will recover soon."

Kyle's brows were furrowed, and there was a dark current in his eyes. He sat down on the bed and placed his large hand on Rosie's forehead, his fingertips slightly cool.

"Where else do you feel uncomfortable?"

Rosie shook her head, the movement straining the injured area, and a soft hiss escaped her lips. Kyle's face instantly darkened, and a cold glint flashed in his amber eyes.

Luo Qian lowered her eyes guiltily, a green light flickering from her fingertips. Wood energy flowed through her body, repairing the damaged meridians. Warm energy spread from her fingertips throughout her body, relieving some of the pain.

Kyle watched her little action, and the corners of his mouth rose slightly: "You caused the trouble yourself, so you should clean it up yourself?"

"I'm fine, really." Rosie sat up, trying to prove that she had recovered well, but she felt dizzy the moment she stood up.

Kyle supported her, holding her waist firmly with his big hands: "Don't be so stubborn."

"Dad, will Mom be okay?" Caesar asked softly, his big amber eyes full of worry.

Kyle ruffled his son's black hair: "Of course, your mother is very strong."

Caesar nodded, his face suddenly becoming serious: "I want to become stronger so that I can protect my mother."

Luo Xi's heart warmed, and she reached out and pulled her son to her side: "Mom is fine, she just needs to rest."

Caesar crawled into Rosie's arms, gently stroking her arm with his little hands, as if imitating an adult comforting a child. Rosie couldn't help but smile; this child always brought her surprises.

"Continue training tomorrow." Kyle suddenly spoke, his eyes falling on Caesar, "Your energy control is not precise enough."

Caesar immediately straightened his body and said, "I will work harder!"

Rosie felt a surge of warmth as she watched the father and son. Kyle's sternness concealed a deep love, while Caesar inherited his father's toughness and his mother's tenderness.

It was late at night, and Caesar was already fast asleep, his face looking remarkably peaceful in the moonlight. Rosie quietly rose and walked to the window. The Heart of Poseidon on her chest had regained some of its glow, but it was still not as bright as before.

"Still can't sleep?" Kyle's voice came from behind, low and gentle.

Rosie turned and saw Kyle standing not far away, his tall figure outlined in the moonlight.

"Those plants..." Rosie began hesitantly.

"I know what you're thinking." Kyle walked closer and stood beside her. "But not now."

Rosie looked up at him: "Do you believe me?"

Kyle was silent for a moment. “I trust your intuition, but I don’t trust this place.”

Rosie sighed softly, her gaze once again fixed on the looming forbidden land outside the window. She could sense the answer there. The beating of Poseidon's heart told her that the withered vegetation was connected to the sacred object, and in some way to herself.

"I need to go again," Rosie whispered, "but this time, I'll be more careful."

Kyle's brows furrowed, a barely perceptible worry flashing across his eyes. "Absolutely not."

"Kyle," Rosie turned to him, a determined glint in her eyes. "I won't take any chances, but I must know the truth. The plants are calling me, and the Heart of Poseidon is answering."

Kyle stared at her, his amber eyes filled with mixed emotions: "You are always so stubborn."

"I just…"

"I know." Kyle sighed softly, his eyes softening a little, "But this time, I'll go with you."

Luo Xi looked at him in surprise: "You agree?"

"Not now," Kyle said in a low voice. "Wait until you've fully recovered and we're fully prepared."

Luo Xi was stunned for a moment, then smiled, a hint of warmth in her eyes. This man always supported her at the most critical moment, even if he disagreed with her decision.

"Thank you," Rosie whispered, reaching out to touch Kyle's cheek.

Kyle took her hand and pulled her into his arms: "Don't make me regret this decision."

Rosie leaned against his chest, listening to the powerful heartbeat. Poseidon's heart felt slightly warm against her chest, as if responding to the tranquility and determination of the moment.

The next morning, Caesar woke early to find his parents already outside. Kyle stood in the center, his black robe fluttering in the morning breeze; Rosie sat on a rock nearby, her face regaining some color.

"Focus." Kyle's voice was like a knife. "Control your power, don't release it."

Caesar stood before his father, head held high, his small frame like a tall, upright seedling. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and when his amber pupils opened again, black energy had already gathered in his palms.

"Release," Kyle ordered briefly.

Caesar pushed with his small hand, and a black energy ball as thick as ink burst from his palm. With the unique pressure of the dragon race, it burst through the air and struck the target ten meters away. The energy ball expanded like a black hole the moment it made contact with the target, yet it remained precisely controlled within the target's range.

"Well done." Kyle raised the corner of his mouth slightly and rubbed his son's head.

Rosie watched this scene with a surge of pride. Caesar's progress was astonishing. In just one day, his control over the black energy had gone from crude to precise, allowing him to strike targets with pinpoint accuracy without damaging the surroundings. This level of control was extremely rare among cubs.

Caesar is indeed a black dragon orc with holy-level talent.

In terms of talent alone, his talent can even be said to be above Kyle's.

"Mom, did you see it?" Caesar ran to Rosie excitedly, his big amber eyes sparkling.

"I see, you're amazing." Rosie smiled and hugged her son, feeling the powerful strength contained in this small body.

Kyle walked over with steady steps, a sharp light flashing in his amber eyes. His gaze fell on Rosie, and the pressure he inadvertently revealed made the air around them stagnate slightly. "How do you feel?"

"Much better." Luo Xi nodded. The Heart of Poseidon on her chest had regained most of its light. "I think we can start preparing."

Kyle frowned slightly, but didn't object. He knew that once Rosie made up her mind, no one could change it. This seemingly fragile woman was actually more determined than anyone else.

"We need more information," Kyle whispered, "about that forbidden area, about those plants."

Rosie nodded: "I will go see the wise man again, maybe he knows something."

"I'll go with you." Kyle's voice left no room for doubt.

Luo Xi looked at Caesar, frowned slightly, and a trace of worry flashed in her eyes: "What about Caesar? That place is too dangerous, and he is so young..."

"I want to go too!" The little boy straightened up immediately, his face full of determination, "I can protect my mother!"

Kyle and Rosie smiled at each other, seeing the same pride and worry in each other's eyes. This little guy, so young, already had the determination to protect his family.

"Okay, let's go together as a family." Luo Xi thought for a moment and finally agreed, her fingers gently stroking her son's black hair. "But you have to promise mom that you will listen to dad in everything and don't act on your own."

Caesar puffed out his chest, his amber eyes gleaming with determination and pride. "I promise! And I'll show those things that scare Mom what happens when you mess with the Black Dragon!"
