The deep sea is breathtakingly quiet.

The water gently enveloped them. Icy blue light filtered down from the surface, casting flickering shadows on the seafloor. Rosie closed her eyes, feeling the gentle caress of the water against her cheeks and limbs. When she opened them, she was greeted by a strange and beautiful blue world.

Schools of fish swam around them, their silver scales reflecting a soft light. A massive blue whale swam slowly by in the distance, unfazed, its gentle gaze seemingly sizing up these uninvited guests.

Mike closed his eyes, a golden light swirling around him. The next moment, his long legs merged into a magnificent golden fishtail. His blond hair flowed in the water, and his blue eyes sparkled with a strange brilliance.

And this is not the end. After Mike transformed, a strange light flashed on Yu's body.

The silver-haired man, nestled in the depths of the sea, resembled a god slumbering for millennia. The currents entwined his slender figure, outlining his perfect silhouette. His silver hair unfurled in the water, each strand like a fragment of moonlight, gleaming with a chilling light in the deep blue of the underwater world.

His black fishtail swung vigorously, each time stirring up a string of tiny bubbles, drawing an elegant arc in the deep sea. The curse pattern on his chest became even more ferocious in the water, the black lines wriggling, devouring his vitality like a living thing.

Luo Xi's heart tightened. Those black lines were exactly the same as those spreading across her body, only the rain was much heavier, covering almost half of his chest.

Kyle looked at Yu's black fish tail, which was almost identical to that of the Abyss Clan. There was no surprise in his eyes, but instead a sense of understanding that "as expected".

At this point, it seems that the truth is no longer important...

Kyle and Mike exchanged a look, and the two of them tacitly kept up with the pace of the rain.

Lu Ye stood there, scratching his hair, his eyes full of confusion. He looked around, seeing the knowing expressions on other people's faces, and felt a sense of being excluded.

"So I'm the only one who doesn't know what happened?" Lu Ye muttered softly, quickening his pace to catch up with the person in front.

The water grew deeper, the light dimmed, and Rosie felt a growing pressure on her chest, not sure if it was the water pressure or the erosion of the black lines.

Suddenly, the outline of a huge building appeared in front of us.

It was a temple sleeping on the seabed.

The temple was constructed entirely of a translucent blue crystal, emitting a faint blue glow from the deep sea. Unidentified seaweed clung to the tall stone pillars, like tentacles protecting the temple. The dome was carved with intricate patterns, still visible despite the current, as if telling an ancient and mysterious story.

But the entire temple was shrouded in a shadow. It wasn't a shadow caused by insufficient light, but a deeper, almost tangible darkness. The darkness enveloped the entire temple like a veil, giving people an uncomfortable feeling.

The rain stopped in front of the temple, and his silver hair fluttered in the water. He took a deep breath and began to chant that obscure language.

The language was ancient and mysterious, and each syllable seemed to carry some kind of magic, stirring up ripples in the water. As the rain chanted, the sea began to swirl, forming a huge whirlpool.

The whirlpool opened its huge mouth, and the passage leading to the temple under the deep sea finally revealed its true appearance.

Kyle was the first to step forward, his amber eyes sharp as a knife. But just as he was about to step in, an invisible barrier abruptly bounced him back.

"What the hell is that?" Lu Ye reached out to touch it, but it bounced back as well, and his arm went numb.

Mike's blue eyes flashed with doubt: "Sea Clan barrier? But this is not any kind I am familiar with."

Only the rain passed through the barrier unhindered, its silver hair drifting in the water. He turned back, and Ruifeng's eyes revealed a complex expression: "It's bloodline recognition. Only those of the Sea God Clan can pass."

Lu Ye sneered: "You ancient people are really advanced. You even use DNA identification."

Yu didn't respond, but simply looked at the unconscious Rosie in his arms, a flash of pain in his eyes. Black lines crawled along the sides of his face, like living things.

"I'll handle it."

As soon as she finished speaking, Yu placed her hands on the barrier. Her silver hair exploded in the water like fireworks. The ancient spell flowed from her lips, each syllable carrying a power that pierced the soul.

The barrier began to vibrate, emitting a teeth-grinding buzzing sound.

Black lines crazily spread across Yu's body, biting every inch of his skin like a greedy snake. One line touched his neck and climbed up along his jaw.

Luo Xi's heart was broken as she watched, tears streaming down her face uncontrollably. She struggled desperately: "Let me go, he'll die!"

Kyle simply tightened his arms, his amber eyes filled with unreadable emotions: "Trust him."

The barrier finally shattered, a sound like shattering glass. Yu panted and half-knelt on the ground, her entire neck entangled in black mist, leaving only her face still clear.

Rosie broke free from Kyle's arms and rushed into the rain. Kyle didn't try to stop her, he just followed her.

"Yu!" Luo Xi supported his shaky body.

Yu barely raised her head, a pale smile forming on her lips: "I'm fine, Xixi, it's just a minor injury."

Luo Xi's tears rose in the seawater, and her heart was tightened by an invisible hand. The black mist on Yu's body almost swallowed up his skin, leaving only a face as pale as paper.

"Why are you doing this?" Rosie couldn't help but ask, "You can wait until we find another way."

Yu Rui's phoenix eyes were still clear, and she looked at her gently, with a slight smile on her lips: "Did you forget? I said I would protect you."

It was a simple sentence, but it made Rosie's chest tighten.

"You said you would stay with me forever, liar..." she murmured softly.

The tears in the water floated upwards, and Luo Xi's heart sank to the bottom. She touched Yu's cheek lightly, and the cool touch startled her.

"We have to hurry." Yu struggled to stand up, her eyes still stubborn. "The Heart of the Sea God is in the deepest part of the temple."

The passageway was wider and more magnificent than I had imagined. Glowing blue crystals were embedded in the walls on both sides, illuminating the path ahead. These lights swayed with the flowing water, casting mottled shadows, like eternal guardians.

"How many years has it been since anyone has been to this damn place?" Lu Ye muttered softly, brushing away the algae on a stone pillar with his hand.

The black evil spirit had spread from Yu's neck to behind her ears. Every step she took felt like a heavy burden. Luo Xi was so distressed that she almost suffocated, but she was powerless to do anything.

The water surged, and from deep within the tunnel came a low tremor. It wasn't an earthquake or an avalanche, but more like a breathing—the breathing of some immense being.

The stone gate ahead was massive and ancient, its surface carved with intricate and mysterious totems. Those lines weren't simply decorative; every arc, every symbol, seemed alive and trembling in the water. Rosie could sense the power within, as if the patterns themselves were a language, telling stories forgotten by time.

Yu placed his palm against the stone gate, his silver hair drifting in the water. He closed his eyes, and from his lips flowed an ancient syllable, deep and powerful. The sound carried through the water, creating a strange resonance. The lines on the stone gate suddenly lit up with a faint blue light, starting from Yu's fingertips and spreading throughout the entire stone gate.

With a dull rumble, the stone door, unopened for a thousand years, slowly opened. The influx of seawater formed a turbulent stream, carrying everyone into the hall.

Rosie's eyes widened, she was so surprised that she couldn't speak.

This wasn't a simple stone chamber, but the core of a complete underwater temple. Its dome, composed of transparent crystals that reflected the azure light of the deep sea, soared into the sky. Eight massive crystal pillars, each three stories tall and engraved with intricate details of the history of the sea race, stood guard around the circular hall.

The temple floor was paved with an unknown blue stone. Upon closer inspection, it revealed a scaly texture. These textures shimmered under the water, as if the entire ground were a living dragon. Most striking was the center of the temple—there floated a crystal pool over ten meters in diameter. Its waters were crystal clear, yet unmixed with the surrounding seawater, forming a perfect sphere.

In the center of the crystal pool, a fist-sized blue crystal stone hovered. It wasn't static, but slowly rotated, releasing a wave of blue energy with each revolution. These waves rippled through the crystal pool and spread throughout the temple, infusing everything with vitality.

Even Kyle, a man of great experience, couldn't help but hold his breath. Mike's blue eyes flashed with shock and awe, and Lu Ye even cursed "Damn it" under his breath.

"This is the real remains of Poseidon..." Mike muttered to himself, his golden fish tail swaying gently.

Rosie could almost feel the antiquity and sacredness of this space, as if time had stopped here, and even her breathing became solemn.

Yu raised her finger and pointed at the blue crystal stone in the center of the crystal pool. Her voice was hoarse due to the erosion of black mist: "That's it, the Heart of Poseidon—"
