Sisi wiped away her tears and hugged the cub tightly in her arms: "Thank you, thank you so much." She got up and left. Before leaving, she looked back at the warm cave, her eyes full of reluctance.

"Can I come again?" she asked softly.

Falcon frowned and was about to refuse, but Luo Xi spoke first: "Of course, you are welcome anytime."

Falcon glared at Luo Xi but didn't refute her. After Si Si left, he snorted coldly, "You only know how to cause trouble."

"What's the trouble in teaching her how to keep warm?" Luo Xi sat back on the kang. The heat penetrated the thin animal skin and reached her skin, making her sigh with comfort.

Falcon frowned. "You made that mugwort to save people yesterday, and now you made these things again." His bronze face was tense, and his eyes were as sharp as a hawk, piercing Luo Xi. "What do you think others will think?"

Rosie felt a chill down her spine, and her fingers unconsciously clenched the hide beneath her.

Ever since she came into this world, she had always felt adrift, as if in a dream from which she would never wake. Everything in this world was separated from her by a thin membrane, visible and tangible, yet unable to reach its core.

Falcon's words were like a needle, piercing through the membrane.

"I was too careless." Luo Xi whispered, tracing the patterns on the stone kang with her fingertips.

She looked up, her eyes meeting Falcon's. His eyes were startlingly clear and unwavering.

"But if telling others this can help many people survive, I will still do it if I have to do it again."

Falcon's breathing hitched.

He had seen countless females—weak, delicate, and a waste of resources. But the eyes of this frail female before him held a determination and courage he had never seen before.

At that moment, his heart skipped a beat.

"Do you know what a witch is?" Falcon suddenly spoke, his voice much lower than usual.

Luo Xi blinked: "Witch?"

"The legend says that someone can understand everything in the universe and can perform magical arts." Falcon's eyes were blazing. "People like you will be regarded as witches in the tribe."

Luo Xi's heart tightened: "What will happen then?"

"Those who worship you will treat you as a god." Falcon's eyes darkened, "Those who fear you will treat you as a devil."

Rosie bit her lower lip. She hadn't expected this to happen.

"You will be treated as a masterless witch, and every tribe will be vying for you." Falcon's voice lowered to a whisper, "They will forcibly abduct you, imprison you, and use you for their own tribe."

Luo Xi was silent for a long time, her eyes fixed on the distant skyline. The setting sun slowly sank, and the orange light danced on the horizon, reflecting on her pale face.

"If that day ever comes, I won't drag you down." She finally spoke, her voice soft but firm.

Falcon was stunned, a surge of inexplicable anger rising in his chest. He turned to stare at her profile, a hint of disbelief flashing in his amber eyes.

This woman thought for a long time and came to this conclusion?

"Yu is really lucky to know you." Falcon sneered, his tone full of sarcasm.

Rosie looked up and met his gaze, a hint of hurt in her eyes. "What do you mean?"

"It's nothing." Falcon turned around, tapping his fingers on the stone wall in an impatient rhythm. "I just admire that you can always find people who are willing to die for you."

"I didn't ask anyone to die for me!" Rosie's voice suddenly rose, and the expression on her face changed from calm to angry. "I just didn't want to bring trouble to you, that's all."

Falcon spun around and took a step closer, his bronze muscles tensed in the firelight, his eyes burning with rage.

"Then tell me, what are you going to do? Face those who covet you alone? On what basis?" He pointed at Luo Xi's slender arm. "Just this?"

Luo Xi took a half step back and pursed her lips. She knew that with her current strength, it was indeed difficult to fight against those powerful enemies, but she didn't want to see anyone get hurt because of her.

"I will become stronger." Luo Xi clenched her fists and spoke in a firm tone.

Falcon scoffed, "You'd probably be dead before that."

Rosie's eyes were slightly red, but she didn't cry.

"That's better than watching others die for me."

Falcon suddenly felt powerless. Why was this female so stubborn? She was so weak, yet she always wanted to protect others. He didn't know why he was so angry. Perhaps it was because she had reflexively excluded him from the list of people she could "depend on."

"Who do you think you are?" Falcon said coldly, "Who wants to get involved with you?"

The light in Rosie's eyes dimmed. "I never thought of it that way."

Falcon looked at her hurt expression, his anger growing stronger. He didn't understand why he cared so much about this female that Yu had entrusted to him, but at this moment he just wanted to hurt her, just like she had accidentally hurt him.

"You'd better keep your word. I don't want to be implicated by you." Falcon said sarcastically again, this time his voice was even colder.

Luo Xi smiled gently and brightly: "Okay, you must stay away from me when the time comes."

Falcon felt blinded by the smile.

"I'll go get some more firewood."

He threw those words out and walked out of the cave, his steps heavy and hurried. Rosie waited until sleepiness came over her, her eyelids growing heavier, and she finally fell asleep. Falcon didn't come back.

The next morning, a strong aroma of meat filled her nose and Rosie opened her sleepy eyes.

Falcon squatted beside the fire, turning the golden roasted beast meat with a stone knife in his hand. He glanced at her, his bronze face tense.

"Are you awake? Come and eat. Do you still want me to feed you?"

Rosie ignored his harsh words, she was now somewhat used to Falcon's way of speaking.

She turned over and sat up, smoothing her messy hair. She stood up and walked to the basin of clean water at the entrance of the cave, and took out the toiletries that Yu had carefully prepared.

Falcon glanced at the delicate shell toothbrush in her hand and snorted in disdain.

"Females are trouble."

Rosie rolled her eyes at him and focused on brushing her teeth and washing her face. The aroma of breakfast whetted her appetite, and after washing up, she couldn't wait to sit by the fire and take the barbecue that Falcon handed her.

The meat juices burst on the tip of her tongue, and Rosie narrowed her eyes in satisfaction. Just as the two of them were dining in silence, footsteps were heard at the entrance of the cave.

"A guest is coming." Falcon put down the food in his hand, his eyes alert.

The person who walked into the cave was an elderly orc, with a burly build, gray hair, and a few wisps of beard on his chin. He scanned the entire cave with his eyes, lingering for a moment on the stone fire bed, his eyes flashing with light.

"What's the matter with you coming here, patriarch?"

Falcon stood up, a glint of anticipation flashing in his eyes. He was taller and more robust than the other males; only Yu could match his height in the entire water tribe. His sudden rise made the cave feel cramped and oppressive.

The visitor was stunned for a moment before hesitantly asking, "Is this the cave of rain?"

Only after hearing Falcon's words did Luo Xi realize who the visitor was. Sisi had just left yesterday, and today the clan leader had come personally. It seemed Falcon's worries last night were not unfounded. She glanced at Falcon with a guilty look.

The person who came was none other than the Water Tribe leader, Sako.

He felt the warmth in the cave, and his eyes lit up immediately. After a few simple greetings, he spoke impatiently, "I heard you have a way to keep the cave warm?"

His eyes swept across the stone kang sharply, and there was a gleam of curiosity in his eyes.

Falcon said nothing, but turned his gaze towards Rosie, a look that seemed to say, "See what I said."

Rosie stood up and wiped the grease off her hands, her movements gentle but not slow.

"Yes, it's a very simple method." She pointed at the stone fire bed, her slender fingers running over the carefully arranged stones. "It only requires the right stones and the right arrangement."

The patriarch's eyes lit up: "Are you willing to teach us? We will provide enough supplies in exchange."

Rosie nodded without hesitation: "Of course."

Falcon stood aside, rolled his eyes, and his expression was a little solemn.

"But I have a small request," Rosie added, her voice soft but firm, "Please don't say this is my idea."

Chief Sarko raised an eyebrow. "Why? Such wisdom should be praised."

Luo Xi shook her head and smiled gently. "I just want to help everyone. I don't need any fame." She paused. "It's enough to help more people stay warm during the winter."

Falcon snorted coldly but didn't object. He knew that Rosie's kindness was unstoppable when she became stubborn.

Patriarch Sarko thought for a moment and nodded in agreement: "As you wish. So, when can we start teaching?"

"It can be done tomorrow," Rosie answered cheerfully. "I'll draw the construction instructions on the hide, and then you can just follow them."

Chief Sako left satisfied.
